Hi. I like so much your videos. They are relly helpful I'm trying to find a video about this process for my 2012 chevrolet Orlando but I can't. Is it the same kind of hitch and the same process (chevy cruze) for mi car (Orlando)? Thanks.
Thanks for the positive feedback. We really appreciate it! At the link below you can view the hitches confirmed to fit a 2012 Chevrolet Orlando. On each product page is a link to view the instructions. www.etrailer.com/hitch-2012_Chevrolet_Orlando.htm
I know this is a late comment on a six-year-old video, but is there a weight limit on a hitch on the vehicle? I’ve been wanting to attach a tiny home to the back of my cruze, but I don’t want to weight to be too much for it.
This installation is not bad at all! Some prefer to have a shop do it because of the hassle of laying on the ground. www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/Curt/C11282.html
You will need to check your owner's manual and see how much your Cruze is approved to tow. If your vehicle is approved to tow the combined weight of your trailer and cargo, then you should be alright. This hitch has a gross trailer weight capacity of 2,000 lbs and a tongue weight capacity of 200 lbs. So be careful not to exceed the lowest rated component of your set up (vehicle, hitch, ball mount, hitch ball, etc.). If you will be towing a trailer you will also need a ball mount, hitch ball, pin and clip, and trailer wiring. You can find what you need at the links below. Hope this is helpful!
