I don’t know why Etsy keeps making all these changes. If it’s not broke don’t fix it. Sales have plummeted. I also can’t stand the side bar pop up. All it does it make me take items out of my basket. So many people are feeling like their stores have been ghosted. Something is definitely going on and not for the good.
About the new Etsy Seller app- I hadn´t used it until I wanted to post a video to Explore. There was nothing else I thought I needed from it, so I didn't use it until this week when I was forced to do so. I wish companies would resist the urge to take things away, rather than just adding to make existing things better. Seriously, if it ain't broke, don't fix it! One thing I liked about the old app was tags I'd used would come up when editing a listing. It made it incredibly easy to add tags to several listings on the phone. Without that, I'd rather use the bulk editing option for tags on my desktop. Most of the items I sell have some Spanish in the titles, descriptions, and tags. When editing tags in the new app, it wouldn't allow for Spanish characters, which is just BS in 2023 and never a problem with the old app. On top of all this, you can only edit some attributes on your listings instead of having all the options as you do on your desktop, which you did with the old app. Seriously, don't take away, just add! These are just the things I've come across this week. If it's true the cha ching is also gone, I'm gonna be very upset. My store is still relatively new and I only have a few sales a week, so it's definitely something to look forward to. It's always possible to stop allowing notification sounds, so anyone who sells so much they're annoyed by it would have that option. Etsy should poll all sellers when making drastic changes to see what works and what doesn't.
I don't seem to be able to amend my banner on my shop using my android devices. I go around in circles back to where Etsy wants me to use my computer to do it - what computer? I don't have one!
I purchased two sheets of scratch and sniff stickers from ETSY. They didn't actually smell so I left a 4/5 rating....THEN I WAS ATTACKED BY THE SELLER. She sent me 55 messages - which continued AFTER I blocked her. I HATE ETSY now. They did NOTHING to help. NOTHING.
Yep I don't like that they want to do suggestive pricing either. I do Print on Demand and I have my shirts priced at $22.99 - $34.99 depending on the size and if it's Bella Canvas or Comfort Colors. I also include shipping around the holidays so if my shirt is $11.30 and I include $4.75 shipping, plus the etsy fees I'm going to pump my prices from $22.99 to $26.99 and I don't know if that will sell. Etsy might want me to sell it for $16 and I'll lose money.
Is it important to have the app on your phone other than to get the cha ching sound which I have been told is no longer active on the new app. I am always on my laptop. I make it a point not to do business on my phone.

Instead of them focusing on the filtered good-feel origin story, why don't they tell the nightmare story of their customer service to their customers: their sellers. They are thieves and idiots. Such a good site resigned to Wall Street publicly traded urinal (yes, that was intentional)
And you're not wrong about statistics. But wow! I used to return 12x to 15x with Promoted Listing. Voila. Etsy realized they could take 100% by tweaking the algorithm to cost for "Etsy Ads" (an Etsy-determine auction system 😂) that somehow works out to they get 100% of ad spend and you get the equal amount. So, 1-for-1. And they published this. Idiots. I used to spend $600 to $800 each month on Etsy. Not now. Bye, Felicia. You can try to recoup via Mom coffee mugs from print on demand. And you are absolutely right about not relying on Etsy for discovery. They are cave wall with a light. But, the problem is, when we seller bring buyers to the cave, Etsy shines that light at their own Search bar and distracts from the seller who brought them to this little piece of Internet survival. So, many customers that Etsy customers bring to their shop through their crazy hours on social media (you included) are just eaten away when Etsy shows a Search bar immediately that, if the potential customer uses, takes them away from the shop that that brought them there and into the dysphoria that is Etsy search (how many turkish rugs does on person, need, ammi right?)
Andrea, love you but you umm but repeat things so much I um but stop watching. Watch your videos and um but think about preparing notes and sticking to them rather than um but riffing on things over and over.
I wish you wouldn't advertise for Everbee like every other RU-vidr out there. There are so many other research tools, yet all the RU-vidrs preach Everbee. I am guessing they must have a very lucrative affiliate program.
i get it. however, i can say that i have been approached by just about all of them and they all have basically the same affiliate program benefits. i have tried nearly every single one out there and didn’t rep for any of them until everbee reached out because that’s the only one i actually like and use! i can’t speak for other youtubers, but that’s my experience!
@@NibiruPrime2012 I am a capitalist to the core and appreciate money making opportunities. I just watch RU-vid channels to learn. If she uses Everbee, why? This is a visual platform from people wanting to learn. If I am to spend my money to take ownership of the success of my listings, how will Everbee allow me to accomplish this? The core reason people buy is because of perceived value. How will Everbee benefit me?

I think this is an educational channel and that I why I was viewing the video. I, like many others, watch RU-vid to learn. If Everbee is so wonderful, show people why you love it and use it. I bet your commissions will increase your viewership can see the value of the tool.
