Hi, i have just finished my blue card visa application and would like to share to everyone my experiences. I registered for an appointment with the embassy on the first week of June and got a confirmed appointment after 10 weeks (3rd week of Aug). While waiting for the appointment date, i applied for ZAB statement of comparability and after nearly 4 weeks, the document arrived. I submitted all my documents on the appointment date and just after two days, I received an email from the embassy that my visa has been granted and ready for collection.

Hi Wesley, thanks for your note. Unfortunately the EU Blue Card is tied to your employment in Germany and loses its validity if you stop working. If you quit your job then you have three months to find a new one. Hope this helps!

Currently in this process. Signed the contract for the job in December. Wasn't able to get an appointment for the Consulate in my region until mid-February. Since then, I have been gathering my documents and literally needed all this time. I needed my ZAB certification. Sent my documents on 16 December but they didn't confirm receipt until 9 January despite spending $90 USD on express delivery to arrive on 20 Dec (and it did arrive then). 🥲 Paid my fee on 11 Jan, confirmed receipt on 12 Jan, got the verification by 18 Jan. Needed to get a reprint of my uni diploma, and due to IT issues at my Alma Mater, i got it today despite requesting on 30 December. Need an updated Erklärung from my employer due to change in start date because of late Consulate appointment. Thankfully, my employer is very patient! Also have my flights booked (fully refundable just in case) and my apartment lined up.😊 I've watched almost all the view on this channel, which have been super helpful.

If I have my degree certificate orginal, I do not have to present any apostille? Hi, you don't need pre-approval if you apply for an EU Blue Card and make more than 56.400 € yearly gross salary. In some cases however, it can still be of help but usually the relocation agents know their way in their specific location. I hope you got your visa by now!

I have around 12years of exp and I don't have the proof (experience letter) for the first 2 years. In the visa checklist, it's meant that i need to provide all the experience letters. It really depends on the location you move to but especially in bigger cities like Berlin and Munich it usually takes a few months. As a non-EU citizen, you need a valid residence permit or visa allowing you to work in Germany. That's why often apply for a work visa abroad, even if the candidate would be able to enter Germany without one. This is a decision on a case by case basis but we had a few cases of non-EU citizens relocating from Poland to Germany last year and had good experiences with the visa application there. 2. Hi, good news! The salary threshold for the EU Blue Card will be lowered starting from November this year. In future, a minimum salary of 45.3% of 39,682.80 € will apply to bottleneck professions and graduates. For all other occupations, the salary threshold will be 43,800 €, so I guess you don't need to worry about this anymore. I will also publish updates on this soon!

I am from India. I recently completed my Master of Science at ETH Zurich, Switzerland in Robotics, Systems and Control. I have got an offer from ABB Munich to work in Munich & parallelly do PhD at TU Munich. So I need to apply now for Blue Card Visa to move to Germany. I saw that one of requirements was to submit a document from Anabin database stating that my university & degree are recognised by Germany. I was able to find that ETH Zurich is there in database with H+ certification. The MSc is also the in degree types. However, the specific MSc program I am in is not there in database currently but there are other similar MSc programs. So, as ETH Zurich is a renowned European university with H+, would it be fine if I give university proof and degree type proof in Switzerland's German Embasse?

How does the embassy alert one on the status of their visa application? I applied for the national visa last week at the embassy and have no tracking number or anything like that. The website also says not to email them for status updates.

@@HalloGermany I only found out I had gotten the visa when picking up my passport from the courier a week later. They provided no way to track the application and sent out no notification once granted.
Going through my blue card visa process in Uzbekistan right now. TLDR don’t recommend to do it here 😅. Anyways, my ZAB certificate took 1.5 months to get done, even though I’m a blue card candidate. They only sent me the invoice for the bank transfer after 2.5 weeks after they actually received the docs. And it took them 4 weeks instead of 2 to prepare the certificate after they said that they received my payment and start the process now. 😢 I managed to get an appointment in the embassy in 2.5 months and applied on may 10th. Only 3 weeks later they contacted to ask for additional documents and translations. My mistake was to make regular translation and not sworn ones, because apparently they need everything to be notarized. Only now, 4 weeks after I applied they said that the consul will start to process my documents. Whereas my friends in Turkey received their visa in 5 business days. So totally avoid the embassy in Tashkent if you care for your time and nerves 😅
For Indian citizens, do we need to translate/apostille the documents? Because it is so confusing as India is part of the Hague convention but not valid between India and Germany

Since the EU Blue Card is a different residence title, it's likely that the documents will be requested again. If it is possible for you, I would try try to organize the documents or alternatively, you can hand in your application and will receive a request to submit missing documents in case they don't accept it. Hi, it depends on your nationality but in most cases you need a work visa (national visa) that can be converted into a corresponding residence permit later on. It's for example not possible to convert a tourist visa into a residence permit for work purposes.. however there are some exceptions for countries like the US. Hello! I just wanted to rectify the information on waiting times in EU countries. I live in France and apply for Researcher's visa in Paris. The waiting time is 12 to 16 weeks before I can actually get an appointment. And waiting time for the visa delivery is another 3 months. I find those delays outrageously long. Based on experience of my collaborators from India who work in Germany now, the waiting time at the German Missions in India are much shorter.
@@kirandeshmukh1944 The main thing you need is the invitation letter from the hosting organisation with proof of income (salary) in it. Otherwise, the set of documents is pretty simple; you need to consult the specific Embassy to get the list because the documents might slightly differ.

But the offer letter is not signed by the employer, They say in Germany it is illegal to sign offer cum contract without getting work permit as informed by company lawyer. They say erklaerung-zum-beschaeftigungsverhaeltnis, company invitation letter and offer letter is enough to get work permit then your offer becomes valid and it would be signed same has been written in company invitation letter. Is it valid can i go ahead for Visa processing?

I would suggest to try and apply with the documents you have at the moment but the document checklists clearly say that you need to provide an employment contract.
