In this video titled EU4 A to Z - THIS Nation MADE ME RAGE QUIT For The First Time I do a playthrough as Granada Europa Universalis 4 1.33 France. This is the series titled A to Z where I attempt to play every* nation in EU4 in alphabetical order. Of course I had to remove some nations so the challenge doesn't get too boring. In this video I play as the nation of Granada , and I attempt to get the rereconquista achievement in E. So let's see if I managed to do it! I hope you guys enjoy this series. Honestly RedHawk I really like this. Sometimes it's like content creators only do good always while your average player will have bad runs and rage quit too. It's relatable, so still good to see. :)

You need to stop using the C hotkey, this is your version of Laith always deleting his forts lmao. I don't think many people would have been mad if you alt+F4'd after accidentally declaring war on France, especially since you already did it for something comparatively minor. You were just ONE province away from the achievement. You could have just said it was a "failure" because of that but still get the achievement. You make some great content Hawk and I feel pain for you right now.

Seriously. It's almost every video where the C key causes issues and it's a fairly common thing with EU4 RU-vidrs, for some reason, to do things like this. I rarely use most of the hotkeys in the game, personally, but there's no reality where I'd give up on a hard achievement like this because of accidentally declaring war. Alt-F4 is a tool to use for a reason.

Just for future reference. If it's a genuine mistake that genuinely would ruin your run (declaring war on all of Europe for example), I'm personally fine with you closing out to save the run and your sanity. Now if it is salvageable play it out; but a goal should be for each run to be fun, not just eternal suffering for the sake of YT money.

Sad that this ended as it did. DDRJake had a great series as Granada where he went super aggressive and fought multiple coalitions in Europe, it was quite impressive. Renovating Iberia it was called.

The Guaranis had a myth about a Land Free Of Evil located somewhere in the Andes mountains. So you should conquer all of Peru as Guarani (could also be every mountain province in South America)

This is impressive! When I first read Pierre Clastres about these indigenous tribes in South America, the concept of the "One" and how it is seen as evil, their solution to the problem, etc. These people are very amazing, but we don't give them as much attention as we should...

Gujarat was known for it's merchant diaspora, as their people had a seafaring tradition and migration to foreign lands. so as Gujarat, own every province bordering the Indian Ocean. Maybe just the Arabian sea + Persian Gulf if you want it easier.

It's the c hotkey. When he gets rid of an event (or anything else) on screen whilst he's on the declare war screen for a nation, he presses c, which is the same button to declare war, so if he accidentally presses c twice, he accidentally declares war

Yesterday I also rage quit. Due to my war as France against ottomans. I had 4 star siege general who can't siege the castle of gelibolu at 57%. And then ottomans suddenly took 5 lvl mil tech without Renaissance and stuck wipe my army. Shit happens man

Bro, I'm nowhere near as good at EU4 as you and this nation made me rade sp hard as well. Took me loads of attempts, and only managed 2 where I survived and ate Tlemcen - only with 1 I got to the point of conquering most of Iberia. Not an Ironman game though - I'll need to try more achievements at some point, but man is it rough sometimes when you're not that experienced at the game.

I think this started out great tbh. It all comes down to patience I think and manage that AE a little bit better as to not let the AI go into a coalition against you. If you manage this then I think this is very doable.

Not disappointed at all! This is literally my hardest achievement I have tried still unfinished, and the first one I attempted, the patch before they got rid of Westernization as a mechanic. It sucks to have missed the goal, but you kicked ass still.

I dont think anyone would get mad or complain if you alt f4 when you misclick. Because accidents happen bro. Whats the point being stubborn if it destroys your content. I just dont get it. I love watching your campaigns but its kinda a turn off when perfect runs are abandoned like that.

I really like your videos, but the recurring theme of "accidentally" declaring war is getting old. You do it to spice things up, so embrace it as it is. Going for dumb heroics some times for content is good on its own, no need to downplay it. It's A-Z, not achievement hunting.

Good run. Almost had it. If it weren't for the short < 30 minutes format, you would have finished it easily. Could have just waited for coalition to expire and then declared on france when the odds are in your favor.

If this worked for me, it might work for you: The couple of times I formed Andalusia, I took Portugal's and Castile's islands in the Atlantic... it kept them from colonising early on and gave me enough time to conquer the rest of Iberia.

There's using Alt-F4 as a tool to undo accidents or EU4-AI shenanigans, which are acceptable to most, and there's abusing the Alt-F4 to min/max runs, which are where people would have complaints. No one is going to care if you Alt-F4 after accidentally declaring a bad war. Just do it and move on. While we're at it, unbind the C key or something.

Honestly this is the first nation that's really gotten me pissed off, too. I just tried all day to get this damn thing to work and if it isn't Castille, Aragon/Naples, and Portugal, it's Morocco or Tunis eating Thlamsen or 1,000 other little stupid things. Spain always is my avoid at all costs region just for this reason in particular, but pulling it off finally feels so satisfying.

So, another hotheaded finish after AQ and Brandenburg, eh? :P I don't blame you though :D with my skills and cursed ideas how to go around stuff, like completing Switzerlake achievement by making myself a greater Switzerland and going colonial in Africa I'd probably either complete the Re-Reconquista in late 1700s or just rage quit altogether.

Man you were allies iwth ottomans. You could have take provinces from tlemcen and make them your vassal. So you will on the defensive side against castile war. Ottomans would be automatically called. You missed the big oppurtinity.

Not mad that hawk used alt-F4, just disappointed he birded for the portugal peace deal instead of estate statutory rights. Also i know its discouraging but he could easily pick up the save game at this point and wait for the truce with france is up for one last yolo war for the last province without a coalition. It doesnt matter if you have to go max loans and corruption and break the nation as long as you win that one war. That said, ive had my fair share of ragequits so i get where hes coming from

If you look at the declare war screen to compare numbers/check CBs/etc., and you use hotkeys it's pretty easy to click the declare war key instead of the close keys. I know Hawk uses hockey's a lot

I have 2000+ hours in EU. Not a single achievement. Not one. On the other hand, if I didn't use diverse QoL and content mods, I would have quit around 100+ hours. Same with every other PDX game, really...

2000+ hours without an achievement i admit is pretty impressive, but still a loooong way to go to catch up to my 3681.4 hours without one 😁 Then again, ive also gone that many hours without EVER once reaching the 1600's or the age of absolutism. Never been one for achievements on steam(or trophies on PS) and plus i also like to play with QoL/visual/audio mods etc and also get bored easily when playing which usually causes me to start over sometime in the early to mid 1500's(sometimes even with the exact same nation i just played as)
