Now that you have setup your Eufy 2K Battery Doorbell what's next? Well, that would be setting up the extras you can do with it. This is where the Eufy app comes in. Thank you for a very informative tutorial. So far, this is the best one I've seen! Lots of info to digest. I felt your "fast" speech was adequate. I just paused and replayed steps I needed to get the finer details on. I'm helping a friend set up one doorbell, and this is my first experience with any doorbell camera. My forehead is sore from the many issues I ran into at every step of the process. Many other reviewers never seemed to encounter issues with initial setup, or didn't admit to it. Fortunately, my long IT career prepared me to be persistent and not give up. It's unfortunate many technology companies don't invest in hiring Technical Writers as was done in the early days of computing.

Some times I think of it as reviewers luck. Generally if I have to repate something in setup more then once I will mention it just so others know there might be a issue. There was one I did of an outdoor plug that I pretty much said after 5 times I had to walk away and come back to later. Which for that manufacture was odd because they normally have dead simple setups. Happy I was able to help in some way, and thanks for the feedback.

I will keep that in mind. I tend to watch youtube at 1.75 speed so listing back to myself sounds painfully slow. I have to remember that not everyone thinks that. Also, thanks I made this video for that exact reason to help others that need more info then comes in the very thin manual.

Is there a timeline feature? Like other doorbells have. So that user can see the whole day thing and can drag and select the particular time to check

It does not. This only will save clips.

Routines? Can you create automations where the chime turns off at a certain time and then comes back on the next morning? Or turn off Sunday afternoons during nap time? Or do you have to do it all manually in the app.

Sadly can only be done through the app manually there is not scheduling for that, currently.

The connection limit is set to help preserve the battery for as long as possible.

Thanks, you answered my question on having to hold & speak that other eufy cameras have. My only other questions are can this device be hooked up to a solar or if you can just use the home base 2.

I am not sure I understand the question. The doorbell itself is battery powered so you would not need to use it with solar, and unless the home base is connected to a network the to will not talk to each other.

@@Wanderer001_Reviews_Clips ok. So I currently have nine eufy cameras, not doorbell ones. These cameras are 8 2cs and one 2cpro. These are all the 180 days power before having to charge. I do not like the idea of having to take them down to charge. So for each camera I have purchased I have also bought a solar panel. What I want is a battery doorbell camera that can also charge on solar. I just cannot figure out if the eufy battery doorbell camera has a way to attach a solar panel to it. I saw where the charging port is but would there be room to put the solar panel plug inside before attaching the camera to its plate?

@@Wanderer001_Reviews_Clips I am going to have my husband view your video as he might be able to work out a different way to attach it to the wall as a work around. He's very good at work arounds for things I want. I do not want the wired camera but I also do not want to have to remove the camera to charge it. Removing it leaves a vulnerability.

@@marypettit5523 I think it would be very awkward to have it plugged into the UBS port on the back and then try and mount it to the wall plate. It really was not meant to be used like that. However, your husband might be able to come up with a way to use a solar charger with the charging pins located on the back meant to trickle charge the camera if you were to place it where you had a wired camera before. That could be a work around.

If I have a Eufy video doorbell and the base station, but I am traveling, can I see the video from the app on my phone? Does that require a subscription or does it stream to me from my home?

You can and it does not require a subscriptoin of any kind. As long as your home internet is working you will be able to see the video feed.

At this time you need to click into the camera to start the live feed.

@@HM-zi6nb I have mixed feelings about it. I tested the Nest doorbell and did not like the fact it started the live feed right away but it did grow on me. However, having multiple cameras in the same app that all start the live feed right away might be a bit much.

What tablet works best with the app? I would rather NOT use the app on my personal cell phone when I need to use Eufy for work-related reasons. Any recommendations would be helpful. I just want to use a tablet that does not require adding and paying for an additional line that will increase my cell phone bill. I just want to purchase a tablet that I can connect to my employers wifi just to use the Eufy app when I need to monitor the front entrance of my job and/or see who is at the front entrance before I let anyone in the front door.

You will need to take down the doorbell, open the rubber flap on the back of the doorbell and plug it into a USB charger to charge the battery.

i shared my device with my husband but when he is away from home, he set the app to away and it also changed mine even though i am at home. how can this work separately as I am the main holder of the account but it changed mine?

It sounds like when you shared access to the camera you gave him admin privilege's for the camera. Because there is only one camera the setting no matter which one of you do it will change the doorbell. If you only want him to get notifications or look through the doorbell you will need to either remove his permission then set him back up in the share but only as a user not an admin.

Do you know where in the settings one can disable, or have it set up where it will recognize its not a stranger or courier, when I am outside cleaning up so it wont keep giving me notifications? My husband was at work and he continuously got notified when i was outside gardening and that was NOT ok with him! LOL

@@paebuil9206 Sadly there is no way to have it turn off just for you, but you can pause notifications for a set amount of time by clicking the three dots in the corner of the camera preview screen. Then clicking the moon with the zzz. Here you can pick for how long to pause notifications. Generally I will do this if I am out cutting the grass and don't want 36 some odd notifications.

URGENT!!! How many mobile devices can have access to the bell? Like can there be 5 devices connected to the doorbell and does one have more priority over other???

Yes you can have that many devices connected. If you share the doorbell with other devices that have their own account then the "owner" of the doorbell takes priority. However, with the live feed it is whoever gets there first.

@@beagles70 Should be the same camera. This is also the app on android. If you are on an Apple phone it can look different. Last thought is there have been a few updates to the app from when I made this video so that might be why things look a little different.

@@Wanderer001_Reviews_Clips thanks for the response. Yes on Iphone. Takes a lot of trial and error setting these up but so far works better than my Ring did. Interfaces with Iphone much better for notifications of motion. . Maybe the Homebase helps? My location is not optimal, very shallow porch, top of stairs and to the right. No other option. So i expect a few misses. Ring doesn't work as well with my Iphone. So far Eufy is much, much better. But i think Ring has better features, like multiple motion zones and 2 way talk etc.Too bad it doesn't work.

Sorry for that. I tend to think I am talking slowly so I speed up. My fault for watching youtube videos at 1.75 speed. But if you would like to slow this down to follow along you can click on the sprokit icon on the youtube player bar and select a slower speed of playback maybe 0.75, or 0.5 might make it better to follow along.
