It looks lovely and great fun and the whole area looks great but....i miss the atmosphere and magical vibe of the diamond mine and kind of shame never rebuilt it. Still you can tell it was a redesigned with love. Also love C for preaching the bargains!

I love 2 lap coasters. Rushing through the station is quite atmospheric and cheering makes it good fun 👍. Also I have to say the car design with shaped seats and adjustable lap bars is far better for taking kids on with you. Looks great!

I love what they did. It's amazing how much they achieved! I think they could improve: 1) Water from the log flume now spills over the trough below onto what _used_ to be the fast strobe tunnel section on the Alpenexpress, I've seen this happen a couple times already 2) The first helix looks very empty, hopefully over the next couple weeks they can add more shade and greenery - the area used to feel very secret and lush before, though at least the foliage will grow naturally over time. I do think the landscaping round that bit could be improved though, e.g. before the train used to be "closer to the ground" because the terrain was higher towards the track Looking forward to seeing what they do over the next 2 weeks and further :)

The upper trail walk ways were open on Saturday. My kids had a walk around them. They spent ages exploring

To be honest, this kind of puts Chessington to shame. They’ve had an SBNO powered coaster for nearly 3 years and Europa have replaced theirs in less than one!

I looked up POVs of the old alpen express and I hope theming on the scale of the indoor diamond mine is still in the plans for the proper opening. I understand if the show building was a fire hazard but hopefully they can still put some smaller little indoor theming inside some of those tunnels

It’s impressive how they’ve built all this in a year after such a fire. I like what they’ve done but definitely miss the diamond mine too.

Hopefully the gift shop still sells the incense that used to be used in the old cave. But watching this video, I'll need to put a few drops in the incense burner while I get some work done.

The interaction in the thumbnail is like a better version of Congo RR and the Runaway Minetrain. Love how beautiful the atmosphere is, hope I can go in the future! When you get back to Britain are you going to the Pleasure Beach? No offense to them, but its currently in a bad state and if its downfall does soon unfortunately occur, id suggest going (ive taken note from its opening day) . Also excited to see more Alton Towers updates. Did you not get to see the Nemesis VIP Event? 😅

I just found out about the American trip. I watched the new Cedar Coaster, vlog. But I'm checking out all of these foreign (for me 🇺🇸) parks first. I love seeing parks that aren't dominated by IPs. Or ones that aren’t popular in America.

Hi Shawn, I was at Alton towers yesterday and i was just wondering what the a-phone is used for on attractions at the resort I know you used to work there, if you don’t know that’s fine.😃

Amazing German efficiency to get that planned, built, themed and open in such a short amount of time. Are the layouts for the Alpine Express and Log flume the exact same as before? I can’t tell?

I went to Europa Park twice last year after the fire, the first time only three days after, and have never been on these two rides. I`m going next week for 3 days and was disappointed when they announced the re-opening date. Now they are having a "soft opening" hopefully I will get to ride them now.

Do we know which train numbers are the "shacky" ones on voltron? So I wont misjudge my first ride🥴

The new seating area looking into the coaster and log flume reminds me of a similar seating area themed into Valravn at Cedar Point. Its nice, but still leaves me with questions in how they fit in with the neighboring area(s). Like does it negatively effect the Spain area having that view into that section of the rides since its fairly alpine compared to the more Andalusian vibe of the Spain area, or do the kinetics and extra viewing angle cancel out the clash of themes?

Really want to go to europa park as it looks like such a great family theme park. Only issue is there’s 5 of us so it’d be really expensive. Any tips on saving money?

It seems the Alpenexpress slows down later and it doesn't take as long for the train to be in its ending position, increasing capacity.

Since I'm very sceptical on Therme, I'm going to predict it won't ever be built, and it will remain a blank plot of land for years, and in 2031, i will go to the location to see if my prediction of Therme manchester never being built has come true If i ever run into Therme themselves, i will tell them "Therme, you lied to us! You said you were going to give Manchester a new waterpark, then you broke your promises and never built it! The UK needs better than that!"
