As someone under the original video noted, what makes this even more hilarious is that for some reason, the marriage of a German Kaiser to a Polish Noblewoman triggered a war between France and Spain. But wait, there's more! Pierre has no titles to speak of whatsoever, so this means that either he was so ticked off by the marriage that he picked a fight with someone at random and that someone happened to be a king, or the king just decided to make war on some random dude...and that random dude did well enough that the war ended in a draw, somehow creating a new state.

@@airplanes_aren.t_real to oversimplify it, Manifest Destiny was the name of the movement to expand and colonize the western half of the United States. It took place around the 1840's to 1870's -ish, and is today usually stereotyped as us deporting the natives and taking their land; not too dissimilar from what Europe was doing with Africa and Southeast Asia around the same time.
