Why everyone hate them? Probably the best hosts over 20th century ESC. I can't stop smiling during watching them. Toto and Gigliola are the least shy and worried among all hosts. They did good job
For once we made everybody understand what it felt for us to watch Eurovision in those years. Very few people in Italy back then spoke other languages than italian and for us it felt quite alienating to watch a program held in english and french where we could only enjoy the songs but could not keep up with what was being said. Also Toto and Gigliola were famous all over the world unlike presenters from other Eurovision editions and had their italian charm making up for the lack of language skills and organization. Good quality of music and good memory of that evening.
What a chaotic voting. Both a directing and hosting disaster. Both Toto and Gigliola keep getting confused, and the director hardly bothers to show us the scoreboard apart from the top-8 between each jury.
The most annoying Eurovision voting ever, cameras kept panning across the green room during when most points are given and you couldn't see scoreboard much and Toto.... Just embarrassing, this is what happens when the contest is held in a country that doesn't have many followers or know much about.
At least it spared us from looking at that, it has to be said, very unflattering scoreboard. It looks like it was made in Microsoft Word at the last minute.
As an italian I'm really ashamed about this presentation and organisation🤦🏻♀️ The cause probably the fact that RAI , principal producer of Tv events in Italy, wasn't interested to organize the event and litterally prepared it in last months and choosing the 2 winners for Italy as conductors of the event and not qualified people to doing it. If you ask why RAI isn't interested to Eurovision it's because we have already Sanremo song contest, which is much more important to us (it has also a more ancient origin than Eurovision, because it exists since 1951 and Eurovision since 1956). Euro had a low italian rates, that's why withdrew from 1998 to 2010 (such a shame, especially for some artists like Elisa, one of the few who sings in italian and in english). I want to reassure you Toto and Gigliola won't be there for Eurovision 2022, because they are ininfluent now even in Italy.Probably There will be influent and young people, because they usually are better for speaking in english and they are more charismatic (hoping only they won't choose someone like Amadeus😥)
Ich verstehe nicht warum sie müssen alles auch in italienisch sagen. So langweilig..... Und der Moderator nimmt alles Fokus von der Resultat und den Sängern.
