Athena are techincally a duo, the lead singer and the guitarist (3:47) are twins, the rest of the band changed a lot through time. They are still active and popular. Anyways, to think that this ended up being the entry that got Turkey its highest ever score in their history combined with the fact that it was right after Turkey's first winning entry, you can tell what an amazing 2 back to back years it's been for Turkey! Although not exactly a part of the contest, I would also highly recommend you check out the opening act of Eurovision 2004 by the previous years winner, Sertab Erener, and the song is "Leave". It will give you the chills!
Athena, wow..! Those tartan pants..,,. love me some ska, and this worked for me. Listen to it over and over. Jordan, a much as I love watching your channel, I'd love you yuo go back and enjoy the treasures from earlier decades. There is so much you are missing out on. I watch channels like yours but it's so rare they go beyond 2010, let alone the years before.
I think the song is a mix of rock, ska and traditional turkish music. Anyway, for this to follow winner Sertab Erener, was a let down for me. But since they came 4th overall, I will assume I'm in minority lol. And yes, it's a group :)
