My top 10 : 10 - Slovenia 9 - Turkey 8 - Finland 7 - Azerbaijan 6 - Estonia 5 - Serbia 4 - Italy 3 - Iceland 2 - Spain 1 - Montenegro (yes, I unironically love this song, I think it's a masterpiece and Rambo Amadeus is a genius. Feel free to hate me now.)
Really nice year! I remember i really wanted Russian grannies to win,but i was satisfied with Loreen too!Euphoria is such an amazing song and for me is the best winner of 21 century yet :D I also like Cyprus,Greece,North Macedonia,Serbia and Moldova :)
I just realised two things 1 I remember a surprising amount of entry's since this was almost half of my life ago 2 breakfast and these videos don't go together I miss to much when I focus on food
A very solid year with a nice mix of genres and pretty solid results. My top 10: 1. The Netherlands: I really love this song, it has great lyrics and warms my heart 2. Sweden: what more to say, close to pop perfection 3. Azerbaijan: their best entry, great dramatic folk ballad 4. Bosnia and Herzegovina: I also really love this, its relaxing and cute 5. Finland: very touching and ove the language 6. Albania: really grew on me, very emotional and dramatic 7. Denmark: always liked this, very radio friendly 8. Cyprus: really catchy and solid 9. Germany: same qualities with Denmark 10. Latvia: guilty pleasure for 7 years now, I still really like this North Macedonia, Serbia, Estonia, Romania, Italy and Spain are all honorable mentions.
My top 42 (Eurovision 2012): 42. Austria 41. Slovakia 40. Montenegro 39. Israel 38. Georgia 37. Croatia 36. Portugal 35. Switzerland 34. Albania 33. Hungary 32. Bosnia and Herzegovina 31. Belarus 30. Ukraine 29. Romania 28. Russia 27. Bulgaria 26. Slovenia 25. Moldova 24. Iceland 23. Latvia 22. Lithuania 21. Belgium 20. Azerbaijan 19. FYR Macedonia 18. Ireland 17. Malta 16. Norway 15. Finland 14. France 13. Denmark 12. Estonia 11. Italy 10. The Netherlands 09. Turkey 08. Serbia 07. Germany 06. Greece 05. Cyprus 04. San Marino 03. Spain 02. United Kingdom 01. Sweden
i dont even have a top 10 for this year because i know so few songs but i have a top 5 lol 5. Norway 4. Moldova 3. Greece 2. Iceland 1. UK (this is my favourite song for uk in the 2010's but the singers name is just really fucking funny lol) and i absolutely hate euphoria lol, i can barely understand a single word shes singing, i dont get the staging and it was on the radio every day for years and at this point i got from "eh" to "fuck no" lmao
Can we appreciate the irony in the German entry for one second? The song is called "standing still" and as he loudly declares "I'm standing still" you might notice his entire performance is just him wandering aimlessly around the stage
I agree with most of your top ranking entries, but you really put Donny Montell, Engelbert Humperdinck and Jedward (not saying, they were as bad as the other 2) over Rona? That's something I really can't understand. France also should have ranked higher in my opinion. But I agree with Moldova having the worst entry of 2012. Maybe it wasn't meant to be seriously, but most fun songs have at least a melody and the vocals don't sound like a heavily drunk man talking. Also not a fan of San Marino's entry or the song you were ranking 3rd to last. Loren and Nina were definitely the best contestants. We both can agree with each other on that.
Sorry, it's actually Montenegro, not Moldova. The 3rd to last song is from Georgia. But as you can imagine, Donny Montell and Engelbert Humperdinck are topping my worst of 2012 list as well. And they might actually even be worse entries than the others that I mentioned previously, bc unlike the entries of Georgia and Montenegro, those were meant to be taken seriously.
English is not my first language either, so I'm not 100% sure, but I think that "what would you do when my house was empty" is, in fact, grammatically correct, if we assume that "would" is being used as a synonym for "used to" I'm not 100% sure though
As someone whose first language isn't English, I can confirm it is correct. It's a unrealistic conditional sentence. (meaning IF my house would be empty (but it isn't), what would you do?) I hope that explains it.
My top 42: Masterpieces: 1. North Macedonia 2. Sweden 3. Montenegro (it's here because it's so epic!!! "I got only one rule, always stay cool like a swimming pool") Good songs: 4. The Netherlands 5. Finland 6. Italy 7. Israel 8. Bulgaria (just like Montenegro, this is epic. I can't stop laughing when I listen to this song) 9. Germany 10. Denmark 11. Switzerland 12. Hungary 13. Turkey 14. Cyprus 15. France (the live was awful, but I like the song) 16. United Kingdom 17. Serbia (This song is nice, but feels like a try to do "Lane moje" again) 18. Romania 19. Portugal 20. Bosnia & Herzegovina 21. Croatia Okay songs: 22. Estonia 23. Spain 24. Slovakia 25. Belgium 26. Lithuania 27. Moldova 28. Iceland 29. Malta 30. Belarus 31. Latvia 32. Ireland 33. Slovenia (and this one feels like a try to do "Molitva" again) 34. Russia (it's cute, but where is the song? Where is the melody?) 35. Albania (not a bad song, but definitely not for me) 36. San Marino Bad songs: 37. Austria 38. Azerbaijan (c'mon. It did so well just because it's Azerbaijan. And I hate her voice) 39. Norway Really bad songs: 40. Ukraine 41. Greece (and this one is one of the cheapest copies of "My Number One") 42. Georgia
"İ hate your voice. "because it is Azerbaijan" . This is just ridicilous. she is the best. Because her song is one of the best entry on euravision.and her voice is so powerful.
I'm starting to quite like this year, mainly because of the Moldova's entry. 42. Please say no one takes the entry seriously 41. Eh, it succeeds at what it's meant to be, I horrible song. But it's kinda catchy and funny. 40. He played a better role in the Georgian 2008 song. He also looked better. And maybe even smelled better. He was just better in 2008. 39. I like this, it's in my top 3, that says something (Well it really doesn't bit whatever) Like It's horrible but so bad its good. 38. Never cared for it. 37. Oh, that live show, oof. Poor Slovakia. 36. I quite like it. 5th was a little much but I can tell she has talent. 35. I don't like the song, but her voice is nice. 34. Ah, so silly, so cute! it's not the best but it's hilarious how it got 2nd. 33. It's okay, but like Andorra I'm biased against Lithuania. 32. No.. Eh Latvia has seen way better days. 31. He seems young, was 26th place to harsh for him? I guess if it wasn't him being last it would be an elder last and I don't think that's any better. 30. It's okay, but nothing much more. 29. Oh come on! They ripped off the Lithuanian 2006 Esc Entry! 28. She's ight. 27. I mean, maybe they smelled better than the Georgian guy after the shower, but I don't actually know how the Georgian guy smelled. 26. She seems ight too, she's pretty cute and the song is cute. But not much more. But its cute! 25. Poor girl. I think her house was robbed. She said her house was empty. 24. He seems ight also. But idk what a second to last place does to a person that old. 23. Turkey would be a good show director. End the Esc days with a bang. 22. Would've been a cool qualifier. But I think it would get bottom 7 if it qualified. 21. A fun song. It's just not much more. 20. My winner! Just so good, from the trumpets to the lyrics to that amazing choreography its just so good! Maybe a better singer would've been cool. But Pasha Parfeny is amazing and irreplaceable.
