My prediction; FYR Macedonia (9th) Malta (6th) Romania (8th) The Netherlands (2nd) Denmark (5th) Switzerland (7th) Belarus (10th) Bulgaria (1st) Estonia (3rd) Israel (4th) But Serbia and Hungary could easily make the final too!

Great job guys. I'm loving your daily reviews and totally agree this one is so hard to call but, at the moment, I'd say Belarus, Israel, Romania, Bulgaria, NL, Norway, Hungary, Austria, Denmark and Malta. Ask me tomorrow though and I'll probably have changed five of them!

This IS really tough, but I think Romania, The Netherlands, Hungary and Bulgaria are the only countries that are 100% safe. I do think Estonia, Israel and Denmark are also trough, but I need to see the second rehearsal for them to be sure. The rest of the spots are really hard to decide. Serbia and Macedonia had bad rehearsals but great songs. Croatia, Malta and Ireland had bad songs but great rehearsals. (I love stage props, and the Irish balloon looks amazing) Belarus and Austria both where great and uplifting and Norway and Switzerland delivered rock-solid performances. This is a hard semi and anything can happen, wich just makes it 68421647887416 times more exiting :D Btw Lithuania and San Marino are dead.

Prediction: 1) Bulgaria (2nd-3rd in public voting, but will win the jury) 2) Hungary (3rd-4th in televote, 2nd in jury) 3) Romania (Juries will drag this one down to 3rd, whereas it will likely win the televote) 4) Belarus (Will soar through this semi, but will have trouble in the final, where it may or may not break top 20) 5) Netherlands (The juries will ensure this one goes through) 6) Israel (Golden Boy v2) 7) Serbia (Another Serbian act is almost ensured a spot in the final) 8) Estonia (May appeal to a lot of people, but I'm not entirely convinced the juries will agree) 9) Croatia 10) Macedonia or Switzerland (It's either one or the other this year I'm afraid. Sad because I adore both entries.) Other predictions for this semi: Denmark will flop horribly, Bulgaria will win the jury, Romania will win the televote.

Austria - that has a good energy and one of best voices with Charisma , as well denmark and belorussia

I think those will qualify: Serbia - it's an ok song + diaspora + neighbors Austria - catchy song + his charisma Romania - diaspora + neighbors Netherlands - good song + jury Hungary - hungarian traditional elements + both jury and public Belarus - belarusian language + charisma Bulgaria - modern Israel - they always get through.. + catchy song Denmark, Ireland, Croatia and Norway are also possible qualifiers..

I hope people will vote not just based on performances but also based on the song itself, afterall it's still a song contest, not a talent contest. So people claiming who got good voices should go into the finals should stop there. Based on song itself, Macedonia would have slayed everyone else in this semi finals. I hope people will oversee the live performance and vote on the merits of the song. Same for Belgium. It's bad enough to see Iceland getting snubbed last year for sending such an amazing entry. Don't let history repeats itself.

Ireland and The netherlands ❤ are my favourites in this semifinal

Bulgaria, Hungary, Romania, Austria and Israel have this in the bag, the rest are too tough to call. I would love to see Belarus, Norway, and Denmark go through and I think they will. But I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I am with you all on this being a tough one to call. Songs I was convinced wouldn't make it before the stage shows were revealed have been elevated. Same with Semi-Final 1. Hungary, Belarus, Bulgaria, Romania, Israel, Austria, the Netherlands, Serbia, Croatia, and Estonia. Estonia I am shaky on. Like it's going to come down to the cameras and if all those kinks get worked out. Like I know last year that is why I'm pretty sure Jüri didn't qualify. Croatia can go either way as well. And if one of them doesn't make it thru then it will be Lithuania and or Norway. Like I am just not sure at all. Honestly this year has been so good song wise (only 3 songs I actively dislike).... for some reason I feel like Switzerland will be the shock non-qualifier out of this semi final. Just something in my gut says that's what's going to happen... then again my gut was horribly wrong last year, but I don't know....

This year Eurovision is a Sophie's Choice scenario - how do you choose amongst SO many great entries. Except Romania which is a child I'd happily hand over - I'd pay someone to take it.

Semi Final 1 is definitely tougher. Several songs which won't qualify would have a much easier time in Semi Final 2.

Denmark will almost definitely go through. There's an awful lot of people who will watch Eurovision without any previous exposure to the songs, dismiss most of the other acts as 'weird' or 'trashy' but Anja is the sort of girl you can take anywhere and quite simply a lot of people will like her. Many people will feel uncomfortable voting for the Montenegro or Belarus songs. They wont feel uncomfortable voting for Denmark's.

My predicted qualifiers: 1-Bulgaria, 2-Israel, 3-Hungary, 4-Romania, 5-The Netherlands, 6-Estonia, 7-Norway, 8-Belarus, 9-Serbia, 10-Croatia. P.S. I just think, that entries like Denmark, Switzerland, Austria, F.Y.R. of Macedonia, Malta, Ireland are gonna be forgotten

I must say Guys, well done. I enjoyed that much more than last night. Its fun when you all smile and laugh. Padraig bring out that sexiness and smile all the time. Chris you were great earlier when you took centre stage & William, EAT LUNCH. This is a tough simi-final and I just hope that William is right and Ireland make it to the final. While I have loved the Bulgarian song from the first time I heard it the short clip does not look great online and does it no good. I can only believe that it will be great on the night. The contest is still Italy is to lose.

I think it's so hard to predict because Russia are out, removing an otherwise certain qualifier, and two of the major fan favourites (including the overwhelming odds on favourite) already being in the final.
