Netherlands Romania Austria Denmark Estonia Norway Hungary Bulgaria Belarus Israel my top 10 qualifiers in random order. definitely the tougher semi-final .
I think Romania, The Netherlands, Hungary, Denmark, Croatia, Bulgaria and Estonia are surely qualifying! I really can't predict the other three, this is even tougher than in the first semifinal.... Well if I had to make a guess, I'd say Belarus, Austria and Norway also going through, but that leaves many great songs out as well..
Viszaaa17 I agree with you totally except that I would replace Norway with Israel bcoz he is the only act with many dancers, he will perform last and lets not forget many females and gays who will vote for him bcoz he is hot. Also, this is similar to Golden boy and that entry did very well. I think he will be a surprise qualifier. With everything else I completely share the same opinion. :)
I have to ask, did they allow playback/digital vocals in the actual performances? Because I heard it in the performances from Norway, Italy and I think other countries. I know NKR wanted the rule change, I just don't know if the EBU allowed it
Keep insisting good vocals will bring one through to the finals is no longer the truth. See what happened to Finland, Georgia and Albania. Everyone in the contest have a decent/good vocals, but if the song sucks, no matter how good your vocals are, it will not guarantee you a place in the finals. I have a feeling a catchy song with a decent vocals or probably good staging will bring you to the finals. Macedonia may have a dull staging, but she has the best song out of the semi 2's entries (I am saying song quality). I seriously hope she will do a Blanche and qualify to shock everyone. And also, if anything has taught us - last year's Iceland entry has proven to us anything can happen.
I just can't comprehend how one love the studio version then once they saw the "live" version because the staging is not good, the song loses its good points. A quality song is a quality song. I just feel that people have been really unfair to Macedonia. I know the studio and the video version pretty much set a high expectations and they felt let down by the staging (I get it), but it shouldn't take away the merits of the song. I hope the non-hardcore Eurovision fans recognize how good this song is and vote for it. Not just because she got "swallowed" by the stage or the stage is too empty and automatically this song sucks. That's rather shallow isn't it. If only I can vote, and I am not even in Europe, I am from Asia and I see the greatness of this song.
I think that the winner is among these talented people in Semi-Final 2. All the songs are WOW! I cannot not say that my favorite is Kristian (Go, go Kris! :)) and I am sorry that you missed the last night rehearsal because Kris was TOP NOTCH!
Pleeaaaseee vote for NORWAY tonight! They have to be in the final and they totally deserve it! They're borderline so they need every vote they can get!! ♥
Prediction 🇷🇴 🇦🇹 🇧🇬 🇮🇪 🇷🇸 🇮🇱 🇳🇱 🇩🇰 🇨🇭 🇧🇾 I really want Macedonia to qualify but vocals and staging I just don't think it's good enough but I hope I'm wrong.
kloesk2....I totally agree. Blanche was so cringeworthy live and not even close to the studio version, which I like. But people love the song itself. Her Wiwibloggs dress rehearsal videos has the most views, even more than Portugal and Italy, and all three were released around the same time. People are deaf and blind if they like Blanche's live performance. That's just my opinion. And before people start hating on me, remember I said I like the studio version.
I love "City Lights", it's my second favourite song after of course "Dance Alone". But saying that is like crazy. @wiwibloggs are just deaf, not on drugs.
True that. I practically just pressed the dislike button after listening to that. It's not even objective anymore. What costumes the singer is wearing will influence how well the song will do. I am getting more and more unimpressed with these reviews. I miss the old wiwibloggs reviews where they are more fun and it's more of whether they like the song. Now they try to sound like they are professional juries when they are doing the reviews, it gets cringe-worthy at times, especially Padraig as he is so patronizing with his comments, which can be very irksome at times.
They talk about the importance of the running order a lot. Data analysis has pointed out that later acts on average only score around five percent better than early acts. So if something is terrible, like Latvia was in the first semi, it won't be saved by a five percent (its even less in semis compared to grand final) advantage.
The countries I wanna qualify in no particual order: -Denmark -Bulgaria -Hungary -Austria ( I really realy wanna see this in the final, it's my dark horse) -Fyrom -Romania -Belarus -Israel -Ireland -Estonia (the staging is underwhelming, but I don't really like the other songs soo yeah let it be)
ESC Alexia Totally agree. His voice is so unique & special. The song is beautiful & he is so lovely. He deserves to go through. Commercial is boring, I want unique😊
Norway is great! And people will definitely vote for it, because it is modern! The singer doesn't pretend to be anyone, looks organic, doesn't "play the ape" (if my google translator interpreted it right), the track is made with taste, vocals is great, and i get tingles from it. Actually it is my favorite this year.
The final results are: 1 Austria 2 Romania 3 The Netherlands 4 Hungary 5 Denmark 6 Croatia 7 Norway 8 Belarus 9 Bulgaria 10 Israel 11 Serbia 12 FYR Macedonia 13 Malta 14 Ireland 15 San Marino 16 Switzerland 17 Lithuania 18 Estonia
I think it would be great for the final if Croatia did go through as it is such an unusual act, hoping Estonia do well especially as they have had issues with their staging, love Malta, her voice is wonderful and please Ireland do your best as my daughter has fallen in love with him and our life would not be worth living if he did not get through - :)
Maybe this is just coincidence, but 9 of the 10 countries that had the highest viewed Wiwibloggs SF1 dress rehearsal videos made it to the Grand Final (Albania had 25000+ views and was replaced by Australia with 15000+ views). If this is the same for SF2, Lithuania has the third highest views and may be the spoiler tonight. The act that may be at risk based on the number of views is Austria. If so, I cannot wait to see the SF2 wrap up video where Padraig, William, and Chris cringe over FusedMarc and cry about Nathan. JOWST is the other at risk to not make it.
Let's be honest - if we got back to the studio versions of all songs, it is very clear who had the best songs and who should qualify - hearing them live and seeing the staging it has left it wide open....theres not many 100% qualifiers - example is Macedonia - great song, great video, but live? Really poor vocals - so if this qualifies its on the strength on the song and EuroFans, not because it is good live. Very hard to predict qualifiers, I would say Romania and Bulgaria are the only ones defiantly going through.
If Bulgaria gets in the final any worse than number 3...it would be preposterous...Portugal and Italy before him ok...but who else?!? p.s. the Verona aaa aaaaa winning the semi... wtf??????
Filly, William has mentioned breast milk. It wouldn't be a Eurovision without that. Honestly idk who is making it thru. Tuesday has made me unsure. I just know that I'm here for Belarus, Hungary, and Bulgaria.
Oh, boys, they missed probably his best performance (as I read)... I was waiting for their reaction but... Let's rely on this one than, www.escdaily.com: Bulgaria - Kristian Kostov - Beautiful Mess "Wow. Stunning vocals and emotions coming through in this performance. Technical brilliance and artistic flare shine through on this performance and this will easily sail through this semifinal. The vocal talent will appeal to a jury whilst the emotionally captivating performer will steal the hearts of the televoters. Tonight’s performance has cemented Kristian’s place as one of the contenders to win the competition. Song is the perfect combination between contemporary and recognizable. It was vocally almost flawless (Kristian literally missed one note in the falsetto part of the first chorus), but given the high degree of difficulty, the juries should put this on top of their lists. Three clear finalists: Bulgaria, Netherlands and Denmark. Together with Malta, these four countries impressed the most during tonight’s show if you look at it from a jury perspective. Malta might still be dismissed by televoters, but the other three we will definitely see on Saturday again." www.escdaily.com/jury-rehearsal-semi-2-vocal-assessment-songs-2 And a twitter by ESCtips.com: "Very passionate performance from Kristian. Best I've seen from a visual perspective."
The whole final was about one thing and one thing only, Bulgaria. They spent so much time bullshitting and groveling over weak songs (Netherlands WTF) and just a short uninspiring summary of the song. They are living in a bubble.
U guys need some sleep cause you a lil out of your mind, ISRAEL was AMAZING... so on point and IMRI does sing the ALIVE by HIMSELF!!! dummies everyone else is dancing with the microphone in their back pocket so who sings if NOT IMRI ??? Dah... Denmark Anja is sooooo obnoxious and screaming the whole song and when she doesn't then the backup singers do, goodness it's ridiculous how crazy you guys went for Denmark. Estonia is outdated we've heard this million times before it's annoying but catchy however....you guys sooooo in love and sooooo sure they will win the semis... PLEASE...Serbia is off key most of the song so that's terrible but nothing can be more terrible than GREECE and she went thru so I will not be socked anyway, Netherlands, AMAZING vocals and BULGARIA a masterpiece! ( Atlanta GA USA )
