I don't think anyone understand "Under the Ladder" without reading the lyrics, it's like he wasn't singing in English but in some madeup language of his own.

i think most of the lyrics of under the ladder, especially in the chorus is quite easy to understand and they're kinda taking advantage of the fact that the singer's english is not that good for comedic effect.
