Eurovision: My Top 30 MOST UNDERRATED SONGS! (2005-2019) 

HOW I MADE THIS LIST: I ordered every song from 2005 to 2019 by how much higher I have each one in my personal rankings compared to the official results. In cases where there were multiple songs with the same difference between my own and the real results, I just ordered them by which I preferred. Therefore we get a list of not just songs I thought were underrated, but which ones, by numbers, I think were THE MOST underrated :) Five honourable mentions for the curious: - 'Jestem' Poland 2011 (+18) - 'Rusinka' North Macedonia 2011 (+18) - 'Never Alone' The Netherlands 2011 (+17) - 'Love Power' Belgium 2007 (+17) - 'On a Sunday' Romania 2019 (+16)

My Thoughts: 30. I loved this. It so complex in sound design yet simple overall, her voice is amazing, the progression of the song is everything, ugh idk why people dont like this :/ but I feel it may be similar to why peeps dont like o jardim 29. Should have qualified. But Finland gets robbed all the time so 28. A bit melodramatic for me but stan greta 27. A whole moment, I liked it but it seems like the telemoveis of 2013 (highly weird and divisive but still amazing) 26. ADORABLE, in a year as weak as '11 this should have sailed thru 25. great song but the staging murdered slaughtered and DESTROYED this one 24. Hiiii! I agree with most of this ranking(except North Macedonia 2017, and 2018 (staging ruined it all)and Latvia 2018)! Those really were crimes in Eurovision! I would've added Israel 2013 and 2014 and Ireland 2014

Many of them are pretty forgettable, but I liked Greta Salomé in 2016 (very underrated imo), Dance Alone, Stones, Playing with Numbers, Play, Line and Lost and Found, and still I listen them in 2021.

When Norway 2016 isn't on the list: *breaks screen* didnt actually but I'm hoping Icebreaker is at least +10 or more??

30 - Much too minimalistic to be memorable. When it finally builds up it goes back to 0 immediately. 29 - This one was robbed. Should have qualified instead of Ireland. 28 - MY 2ND, THIS WAS SO SLEPT ON. 27 - Not my cup of tea, but still a really cool performance and even my non-ESC-fan friends remember this one! 26 - The happiness was too forced for me. Also, the song is extremely repetitive. In other words, I'm not a fan. 25 - Many people say the staging was bad, but I did really like this one. Should have qualified instead of Croatia. 24 - REALLY well performed, but the outfit was hideous. Both this and Georgia deserved it more than Greece though. 23 - The only entry from Slovakia that is really good. The fact it got THIS low, is just insane. 22 - I do like this, and it's definitely not the worst Swedish entry ever. It was a bit weak live, though. 21 - YES, ROBBED. I LOVE THIS ONE! 20 - The live performance was SO BAD. Staging was awful (especially the empty arena) and the vocals were quite bad as well. 19 - A very nice track for a café or something, but not appropriate for Eurovision. Also, it's quite repetitive. 18 - Not the best Balkan Ballad out there, but I do like the instrumental. The ending note was a big shame though. 17 - You're kidding with this one, right? 16 - Absolutely robbed. This was such a chill and meditative song. So sad people slept on this. 15 - A bit of a weird one, and not my cup of tea. The little skits, like the jumps and dancing are pretty funny though. 14 - Yup, should have qualified instead of Hatari. Actually, scratch that. Literally ANYTHING should have qualified over Hatari. 13 - Oh right! I always thought Andorra debuted in 2007. Kinda proves this entry was forgettable though. 12 - Given how weak 2011 was, this was one of the few songs that were really well-performed. Thus, it was robbed. 11 - I uhh, don't know. It's just too childish and simple. Also, I constantly hear them saying 'seppuku'. Yeah… 10 - The most underrated Irish entry of the past 20 years for sure. This was so beautiful. 9 - Mmh, 2016 was a strong year, and this one just didn't seem competitive enough. Juri's also a bit creepy. 8 - YES, THEY ARE MY 3RD OF 2018 7 - Sounds like a Disney song. But I honestly think Monaco was hardly even trying to do well in the 2000's. 6 - My 3rd of 2017. I can't believe 'This Is Love' qualified over this beauty. 5 - After the live performance, I wouldn't put it in my top 10, but dead last place was extremely undeserved. 4 - Absolutely and utterly destroyed by staging. Good song, but holy cow they ruined everything they could. 3 - I never got the hype. It's too alienating and super trippy. I like the ethnic vibes, but this is just a random bunch of weird chords. 2 - Definitely deserved to qualify. The Scandies were seriously bullied on in 2016. 1 - Understandable. Overall I'd say this is my 2nd favorite San Marinese entry, next to Crisalide (2013). Some honorable mentions for me: Iceland 2010, Croatia 2010, Albania 2011, Cyprus 2011, Hungary 2012, Israel 2013, San Marino 2013, Albania 2013, Austria 2013, Israel 2014, Slovenia 2014, Malta 2015, Germany 2015, Austria 2015, Norway 2016, Georgia 2017, Iceland 2018, Georgia 2019, Ireland 2019, Romania 2019, and for 2020... well... it didn't happen, so there's no indication to see what's underrated and not.

30: Nice but not a standout 29: Tough year, singing in Swedish didn't help and there were better songs in the National Final. 28: Should have been top 10 but it was a tough year. 27: Too experimental for its time 26: Should have qualified 25: North Macedonia always ruins good songs with poor staging 24: Georgia and Albania canceled each other out. 23: Big injustice. If it was Azerbaijan or Russia, it would have won. 22: Sweden had worse. 21: Not a standout. 20: Not the best staging. 19: Not memorable. 18: Not memorable. 17: Too messy. 16: It shouldn't have been last but the final was superstrong that year. 15: Too ahead of its time. 14: Not as good as Origo, but nice. 13: The staging and the clothes were a choice 12: Should have qualified 11: Too cheesy 10: Not a standout 09: Underwhelming live performance. 08: Deserved to qualify but the semifinal was a bloodbath. 07: Israel canceled this out. 06: Deserved to qualify. 05: Underwhelming performance. 04: Same as 25, but even more of a letdown. 03: Criminally underrated. 02: That semifinal was too tough. 01: Didn't deserve to be last in the semi at all.
