Oh yes! After Valentina Monetta's undeserving non-qualification in Malmö 2013, we all know that she thankfully got her revenge in Copenhagen the following year when she qualified to the Grand Final this time with ''Maybe (Forse)''.
I 've seen a few lately. And I'm seriously surprised. It was my last place for 2020. And still is. I really can't understand what's to like about it. :p It might even be in the bottom 5 of the decade. Bottom10 at least.
@@Crowleas I think it was the live performance during their NF that felt underwhelming for many. When I heard the studio cut I thought it was better than I originally thought, and I liked it even more once VAL released the acoustic version of Da Vidna during the Eurovision Home Concerts. But I can understand if you don't like the song, after all, it's your opinion :)

Very much agree with Ukraine 2020, they were also my number 3. I'm very happy that they got such a good result in 2021. I can't agree with everything; I was happy that Valentina did not qualify in 2013. But that year North Macedonia was my favourite, so pretty underrated as well :-)
Iceland 2010 is one of my personal favorites in 2010, such a shame it ranked so low Iceland 2012 too! AND 2016 I didn't know so many people thought Mei and Moran were so underrated. (I liked Mei but Ballads aren't my thing) good we got our act together for 2015 with the BOP that is Golden boy

I agree about Iceland 2016, Finland 2017 and Switzerland 2018 and Ireland 2015 and maybe Belarus a bit - and Slovakia 2010 and Cyprus - the rest I think are ordinary and the fans overate .
Yeah... they would have been 2nd in the running order, fans used to dismiss it at first, so I kinda get why they placed it so low. Still they deserved to be in Rotterdam even now.
Depends on your point of view I guess. I do really enjoy the songs/performances that finished in the top 5 and think the bottom 5 was quite predictable (aside from Poland I guess) and I do think there are several countries that deserved to qualify instead of others, most of them I can agree with. (I will not forgive Greece's qualification though, that really should've gone to Finland, Albania or Georgia)
Interesting choices. I strongly agree with a few and strongly disagree with others. For a start I have to say I kind of disagree with your criteria of “places of difference”. Seems too “dry” to me. For example I feel that giving the 7th place to a song that clearly should have won is a bigger robbery than giving the 40th place to a song which deserved the 20th. So, here are my picks. 2010 1 BOSNIA-HERZEGOVINA was in my top3 and even missed the top15 2 SWEDEN missed the deserved top10 and even the qualification to the final. 3 ICELAND was for top10 too 4 FRANCE was for the left side of the board with that banger 5 UKRAINE was for top3 and came 10th 2011 This must be the year with the most cases of very unfair results. Too many underrated songs and too many overrated ones (including the winner of course which is one the worst winners ever). 1 FINLAND was my winner and came close to the bottom 2 ALBANIA deserved top5 and didn’t qualify 3 GEORGIA deserved top3 and only came 10th 4 ESTONIA deserved at least top10 and came almost last. 5 I can’t understand how SLOVENIA missed the top10. Also FRANCE and CYPRUS deserved much better. 2012 1 ICELAND should be 3rd after Sweden and Albania. 2 NORTH MACEDONIA had clear top5 material. 3 How did CYPRUS miss the top10?? 4 Yes I know ALBANIA got the 5th place but for such an EPIC ULTRA-MASTERPIECE that’s really not enough. 5 BULGARIA should have qualified. Top15 for me.

Anything below top5 would be scandalous and even missed the top15. 3 FRANCE got almost last with a truly AMAZING and touching entry. Top10 for me. 4 IRELAND should qualify. Top10 for me. 5 CZECH REPUBLIC top10 too. Or at least top15 as 2015 was a strong year. 2016 1 LATVIA was my winner. 2 CROATIA had the best song. Even with the not so good presentation should be in the top10. 3 NORWAY should qualify and be in the top10 4 HUNGARY was for top10 too 5 POLAND & FRANCE both got to the top10 but deserved top3 2017 1 UNITED KINGDOM had top3 material! 2 IRELAND was in my top10 and didn’t qualify. 3 UKRAINE deserved at least 10 places higher. 4 FINLAND should qualify and be at least top15 5 ARMENIA deserved at least 5 places higher. 2018 1 ITALY! Yes got the 5th place but this entry had no true competition. It was so clearly the best song, it was of an other league. There should have been no doubt that it would win. I can’t believe that the televoters supported this more than the juries. Absolutely scandalous. 2 HUNGARY robbed so badly. Top5 material for sure. 3 LITHUANIA should be in the top5 too. 4 PORTUGAL came last while was in my top10 5 BELGIUM deserved qualification and at least top15 2019 1 PORTUGAL was for top5 and didn’t qualify 2 LITHUANIA was for top10 and didn’t qualify 3 ICELAND was for top3 and came 10th 4 AUSTRALIA was for top3 and came 9th 5 ISRAEL deserved at least 10 places higher 2020 Such a crime that Eurovision didn’t happen. They were all so terribly underrated as after so much effort and inspiration they didn’t get to present what they had made for us. For a few of them it was a once in a lifetime opportunity. :( Plus, it was a crime that I didn’t see the Netherlands winning again with that absolute masterpiece. And that I will never know if my hopes had any connection to reality. *I don’t respect the bookers enough to count their predictions. :p Especially before the rehearsals they know shit. Staging and performance can make huge difference. 2021 1 BELGIUM was for top10 for me.
