Ikr! That's the best thing about this song I feel, because it means that 6 years later we can all still keep it in our playlists without it feeling like a throwback. I don't even think Sweden in 2015 is still relevant today!
And the hype it generated upon its selection was well managed, something Italy couldn't manage to do in 2017 and I'm afraid the same will happen to Israel this year.
also this song is one that you remember, how many others songs do you remember of the those that have won. the only one i also remember is Ruslana with wild dances from Ukraine in 2004
yeah i hear you on Italy. I didn't like it throughout 2017 season cuz it was just too overhyped and rather than just being a guy and his song (like Loreen is "a girl and hear song"), they just kept throwing gimmick on top of gimmick on top of gimmick (the guy in the gorilla costume! the dance! random multi-colored light figures in the back! etc) and Francesco has the complete inability to rein it in, even just a bit...his performances got very sloppy.
Euphoria is great, but it's nowhere near as iconic or successful as Italy's 1958 Nel blu dipinto di blu (Volare) which reached No.1 even on Billboard Hot 100 Charts and won two Grammy Awards (Record of the year and Song of the year) at the very first Grammy Awards back in 1958.
This one was amazing in every possible way. The staging, the singing, the performance, the song and the artist. In my opinion the best entry in Eurovision history.
As I said before, Sweden has the best performances almost every year. I love Sweden, love Jake's face and I'm waiting for new reactions. I send rays of goodness to all of you guys! Peace and love from Ukraine!
Nah its Dana International .. becouse of her Eurovision was not borring anymore .. back in the old days, Eurovision was just a show now its a big Festival ...
The song received the highest number of maximum (12) points of any entry in the contest's history with eighteen countries giving the song their top marks.
I think many will agree on it. I would personally ask for reacting to Sweden 1974 and Switzerland 1988 winning performances. Why these ones? You’ll get crazy to know WHO won these years. I’m sure you know these artists. But please don’t spoil it and don’t check WHO were representing their countries these years! It should be your reaction filmed to learn this!
Still one of the best of the best of the best performances in Eurovision for the last 15 years that I watch Eurovision. Jake, I knew you will love it, that's why I and the majority of folks out there recommended you to watch it☺️ You facial reactions videos are priceless☺️
If you liked her, you should defo see her performance at Melodifestivalen - Paper Light (Higher) :) She's pure gold, I myself have been following her closely since she won and you can easily tell how creative her mind is ❤️
Okay!!! So...Loreen is BACK! She will compete in the Eurovison song contest 2023! Her song Tatoo is even better then Euphoria! Please do a reaction on that! 😃
Wase Miriam it was the same when she first performed it in the Swedish contest. I remember thinking that there was no point in seeing the other acts. She would be better than all of them. I was right, since she got to represent Sweden and none of the other acts were even close to hers. 🙂
I’m so late to this reaction but I remember watching this in hospital at 11 years old (grown up on Eurovision) and was the highlight of my stay! I literally claimed the games room to watch Eurovision haha
2012 was probably the best ESC year to date. So many good songs. I'm happy Loreen won, but you should also check out Albania's song Suus from that year. One of the strongest song performances ever!
Yep, it all has to allign: song, singer and setting :-). What I found striking about that performance and the way it was lit was the fact that you basically only see her outline, you hardly get to see her face. In any other situation I would say it is to hide that someone isn’t singing live but in this case it actually made you focus on her voice and song more intently and you hear how great both are.
If you are so impressed by dancing and singing at the same time, you should check Ruslana “Wild dances” 2004). But please react to Ukraine 2007, you will know how insane the performances at Eurovision can be, and still we love them. Great reactions the face of yours has, keep going!))
Hi I'm from Turkey. You look like Onur Büyüktopçu who is an actor and presenter of a cooking show in Turkey.Your expressions and face exactly look like him except his eyes. His eyes are blue:) Otherwise,I like your videos they are enjoyable good job👍🏻
Sadly she got a lot of racist motivated hate for not being an ethnic white Swede, as opposed to Moroccan. This entry is epic and one of best in all of ESC history!
Love it, it's always gonna be one of the best winning performances on Eurovision for me ever. I have my Eurovision winners top(in do not consider outsiders): 1) Loreen - Euphoria; 2) Maria Sherifovich - Molitva; 4) Jamala - 1944 3) Chonchita - Rise like a phoenix; 5) Salvador Sobral - Amar Pelos Dois; 6) Duncan Laurence - Arcade; 7) Netta - Toy) With love from Ukraine))
Never commented before, but if you want to see Loreen as a superstar doing her mixed with iconic pop performances from a different era. Check this video out. Her aristry and the way she was crafting things at this time was frustratingly brilliant. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XhD6866ROXU.html
This was the year when people said Loreen will win and not Sweden will win (with that i mean people knew the name of the artist rather than the country the artist was competing for)...then you know the song won based on the song and artist alone and that it is a memorable song:) Same goes for Alexander Rybak (2009)..
2012 is one of my favourite times WATCHING Eurovision. I stayed at a youth hostel and the TV-room was crammed that night. Seing the show with people from so many different countries was a pure delight. Two of my other favourites from 2012 are Albania, Rona Nishliu-Suus and Estonia, Ott Lepland-Kuula. Sweden has been very good at framing their performances and chosing their camera angles in rescent years. Their entry for 2018 is clearly very different from 2012 in both mood and performance, but with the same type of framing. In a sea of wide shots it really has the potential to draw people in. Thanks for the reaction and see you in Malmö 2013!
la mejor de la historia de eurovision lorenn es unica y euphoria es y sera siempre la mejor cancion de eurovision lorenn es maravillosa y merecia ganar
Thank you for reacting to this! Loreen is still one of my fave winner ♥ If you've got the time (and especially the will), could i request a few songs too? my requests would be: 1) Italy 2013: Marco Mengoni - L'essenziale (it came 7th) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-S8oaxDV1q6o.html 2) Italy 2015: Il Volo - Grande Amore (it came 3rd) ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-1TOMqZV2jA8.html i noticed you've not reacted to any italian entry yet, apart from the 2018 one, so i'm curious ^^ (don't expect swedish or russian type of staging tho, because Italy keeps it simple). Have a great day! xo
i think this is one of the songs that will stay in Eurovision History Like Celine Dion "ne partez pas sans moi" and Abbas Waterloo! P.S nothing typical about this song what so ever!
Hi Jake! I wish you'd react to Loreen's performance in the 2017 Melodifestivalen. Of course she didn't win, she disn't even make it to the final, but this must be one of my all time favourite performances ever, in or out of the Eurovision world! It's completely different from 'Euphoria', which shows what an amazing artist Loreen really is: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ejU7RKmmJMQ.html
Listen, there was no bigger music fan in general for the last 20 years...i would import cds from the UK, but I never heard of her until this channel.💚✌️
Please react to another of her song. Loreen Statements Melodifestivalen 2017. It is soooooooooo iconic. (And Norway Margaret Berger 2013 or 2014 i don't remember)
You should seriously react to more music of Loreen. She has two amazing albums out there. The first one is called "Heal" of which Euphoria is the lead single so you can expect a lot more of that prime swedish pop fantasy. It has a dark in spiritual overall vibe. The second album, called "Ride" came out just last year and is more indie/rock/grunge/synth pop. It's so different but so. good. Also her stand-alone single "Statements" is such an iconic song
Euphoria is one of my favorite eurovision songs ever! Actually all the songs she makes are great! Please react to The Netherlands at the eurovision in 2014. The Common Linnets.
Hey Jake It's Jake here 😀 Tried to trace your reaction to Israel's entry of 2005, Shiri May on... HA'SHEKET SHE'NISHAR Tnx for the link, or your reaction
2012 had one of the greatest and iconic entries in the Eurovision history. The top 5 could go on and win any other year of Eurovision; 1. Euphoria by Loreen (Sweden) - 2000s and 2010s so far, she rules as the best winner 2. Party for Everyone by Buranovskiye Babushki (Russia) - A group of grandma trying to party, the cutest thing ever and the song is infectious 3. Nije Ljubav Stvar by Željko Joksimović (Serbia) - This reminds everyone that Serbia is one of the best countries to participate in Eurovision 4. When the Music Dies by Sabina Babayeva (Azerbaijan) - She is perfect from head to toe. She is also reminding everyone else that Azerbaijan is also one of the best countries to participate in Eurovision. ***5. Suus by Rona Nishliu (Albania) - OMG that powerful chest-registered voice and the belting! She is my personal favourite. She has been a new record for the Albania's entries. At least, please check her out!!! La La Love by Ivi Adamou (Cyprus) - one of the fan's favourites that year but her live performance was not that good. Oh and this was also the last year when Turkey participated. They sent one very famous male artists up there and expected to win. He landed in the top 10. The country got testy and left the competition.
