Hi! I’m the girl in the back! I wrote, composed and produced the song. Since it’s a very personal song and the song needed live backvocals I decided to be there myself 😊 all the love from Portugal ❤️

It's a really beautiful song Isaura and it's definitley one of my favorites this year ❤️ And apperently i'm one of those few people who don't make a fuss about you sitting in the background during the performance - your vocals really suits each other 😊 I'm really looking forward to the show in may - greetings from Denmark

The song talks about the pain you feel when you lose someone you love but it's not a sad song per si... it's a song about finding a way to make the memory of that person prevail.. And that's what Isaura (the person sitting) is representing here (I think)...She is that person that is kinda "traped" to that memory. She misses her grandmother that died so she tends to the garden that her grandmother left because it's a way to still feel her and be with her but she still misses her.

I do not know why, but Portugal's song is colouring my soul. I think that English is not needed, since Music language is universal. So far, the song "O Jardim", by Cláudia Pascoal, is the living proof that the angels do really sing!

This song is so criminally underrated. It is an absolutely beautiful song. I don't understand how someone can hear this song and think "boring". Last place is a complete injustice.
@ankhefenra

The girl in the chair is the author of the song, and it's dedicated to her grandmother, who died recently. She's basically just a backing vocalist, they just made it a bit more interesting than standing in the back and swaying behind a microphone. Also, the song seems to go by really fast, even though it's a slow song. I din't even notice 3 minutes passing, it seemed at most a minute.

*A few words about this garden that is all of us* "I exchanged the eternity and the time of all the seas by the spring tones of your eyes" To feel this music is to feel gratitude in a world where everything is liquid and nothing to last in a chain of fast songs and immediate consumption to the touch of a taste or do not like the world of social networks ... to stop and enjoy is an effort that does not is for everyone but there are thousands of people in this world who will understand this garden ... this song is of great sensitivity and interpretation ... again ... a song that makes us feel "out of the system" and only for this embrace ... with the creative freedom of this country ... the Portuguese language is magnificent is full of subtle movements of sseeee xxeeee ffeeee like a light wind next to a sea ... a plain ... a garden ... *perhaps the world knows how to transport this care of this garden as our huge garden that is this planet* ... *as in Japan for example the relationship is precisely this force and the respect and love that we owe to all who lived in it before us* .. and all who will come .. in each child born ... there is a mother and a grandmother ... generation ... to join in one space this force of the place of loss and absence and continuity ... necessary ... it is extraordinarily beautiful. ... *the symbolic burden of the composer to be on her back with those who sing and interpret is a force precisely of this presence and absence* ... *and when it comes back with an uninterrupted rhythm of what has grown previously is to consolidate a presence of continuity of simply being and caring* ... of course I write a lot ... because every day I feel something to discover in all this ... *the day someone feels in hand earth and seed and take care of something that is born, reborn or survives thanks to us* ... *the world is seen completely to another scale and this is the key of this project* The context comes from the death of the composer's grandmother and she loved her garden and flowers ... and it's her granddaughter who will take care of him ... all symbolically with the very simple expression that we all love and leave and someone we love is and takes care of the love we take care of the things we love in life ... extend this care, treat and love ... a thread of two generations ... The context comes from the death of the composer's grandmother and she loved her garden and flowers ... and it's her granddaughter who will take care of him ... all symbolically with the very simple expression that we all love and leave and someone we love is and takes care of the love we take care of the things we love in life ... extend this care, treat and love ... a thread of two generations ...

Thanks so very much, for your insights about Eurovision Song, 2018, in Lisbon, Portugal. The colors of the rainbow, so pretty in the sky. Life is not in black and white, there is so much color out there to keep this melody, motivated for life. In that regard, the host's entering song, Portugal, “The Garden”, is such an AMAZING inspirational when you consider how long this song has or can meditating us for life!!! What a MASTER PIECE! In my opinion, best of five, if not, potential 1, or 2, final votes!!! Good luck, Claudia Pascoal!!!

Hi, I am Portuguese, and i will explain. Claudia Pascoal wrote a song about a lost love and a really beautiful garden where she takes herself to be in peace. O jardim it's in portuguese, The garden, so you got that correct. And thanks for the compliment. I hope I've been useful, any questions just ask.

Aww thank you so much for this reaction!! The song is about Isaura's grandmother who unfortunately passed away a year or two ago. She wanted to make a song that would forever bound the two of them and so she wrote: "O Jardim" (btw Siri was right). "O Jardim" is a representation of life itself that is why she says in the song "Agora que não estás, rego eu o teu jardim" which basically means that now that her grandmother isn't around anymore, Isaura will be the one to live through her. "Jardim" stands for "love" and "care".

Hi Jake, the girl in the back is the author of the song and it´s a song for her late grandmother, basically she´s saying that now that she's not around anymore she will water the granny's garden. Simple and sweet. As Salvador said last year, music is about feeling not fireworks ;)

Music isnt about running on the stage , large production and fireworks , and screaming. Unfortely , not everyobody agrees , and that is why Israel ends up winning.

Hi! The lyrics to the song are quite repetitive, but the most beautiful part is that she says "agora que não estás rego eu o teu jardim", meaning "now that you're not here, I will water the flowers in your garden". Since the author wrote the song for her grandma, I would say her garden was quite important for her and the author is saying she will take care of it while making sure she never forgets her grandma

So i rewrote the song in english so you (and everyone who is curious) know what the song is saying. P.S. My english is not the best so I am sorry. The garden I never wanted you less than everything, always, my love. If in heaven you are happy too Take me and I always take care of you It's the flowers, my place. Now that you're not, I water your garden It's the flowers, my place. Now that you're not, I watering your garden I already promised that one day I will change or try to be bigger If from heaven you are happy too Take me and I swear, always, for your value It's the flowers, my place. Now that you're not, I watering your garden It's the flowers, my place. Now that you're not, I watering your garden Now that you're not, I watering your garden Now that you're not, I watering your garden Now that you're not Now that you're not, I watering your garden
