Well that was frustrating. No phone number to call either I suppose...what a pain but clearly not fully committed to proper accessibility by the questions alone.
Yea. I had a similar problem weeks ago with EV Charger at Aldi in Birmingham. They have the NewMotion plug n charge. 2 chargers 22kWh. Owned by Shell. ( apparently u can use the Shell RFid card/Fob). Over an hr I was trying 2 get charge out of the 2 machines. I had a green light on. Started charging then stopped. Ended up calling them. They confirmed 1 was wkg & the other wasn't. She put a request for an engineer 2 come out. I haven't been back since. But a few months back in Hertford, Hertfordshire. Went 2 the Aldi there. Same NewMotion. No Problem. Plug n charged brilliant. Can be really frustrating @ times. But had my car serviced 2 day & the guys @ Peugeot ( Robins & Day). Full charged car, after vacuuming it & washed it. Picked it up & delivered it back home. Perfect Peugeot! 🥰
I'm waiting for my first EV being delivered. What is obvious is that there needs to be a standard interface. Every petrol pump is the same. You don't need to read an instruction manual to fill up with petrol. Perhaps this will change as more and more EV's hit the roads.
You will need about 10 apps and a variety of RFID cards, deep knowledge of multiple different Chargé unit operational procedures, geographic knowledge lots of time ro waste and the patience of a saint if you don’t have home charging and are reliant on the public network
Hi - sorry to hear about this experience. The team and I are continually looking to improve the solution so this is helpful feedback. I have dropped you a direct message and hopefully we can support your next charge.
At the end when it said motability will pay it did say charge and unplugging it while it was doing the connection handshake wasn't the best idea but no your not stupid i just think they should give clear instructions and not expect everyone to know everything it's humiliating and degrading and i do feel for you and motability should know better
Probably power was copy righted to something else. To be fair only by watching your video and seeing it in context on on the 3 step card did I realise it was power
At the end of the day it's only you that's on the motability scheme, and all the lower end cars have five seats and a boot , the scheme is there to help you get about. And That's that 👍. If you want extras or a bigger car then you pay the extra money, a five seater car will be fine for most disabled people, and all adaptions are free. So I can't really see your point.
@@Paul-ey1ct I’ve been using the scheme for 30yrs+. All I’m saying is that it wasn’t too long ago when you had your pick of whatever car (virtual) you wanted and the deposits were never more than £100. This past 2 years you can’t touch most good cars for less than £1000, and that’s even cheap in their eyes. As we all are, I am entitled to give my opinion about what I think.
@orthodoxblue7252 my Mazda 6 was 799 upfront 5 years ago. Just about to switch to Ioniq 6, that was 3500 but went up to 5500 on July 1st, that's too high imo but at least there won't be many about😂
