Great video again (and the food looked good). You should be compulsory watching for the council officials in charge of public charging infrastructure. I've had an EV now for nearly 8 months and I'm happier these days getting down to ~10% battery, but I'm not sure I could be as calm as you if I was to get down to just 6 miles range left. I admire your casual manner
43kw chargers are AC so they can be used at the same time as a 50kw DC connected to the same unit. I often use the local 43kw AC to start off if the 50kw DC is in use until that car pulls away then I switch plugs. The Mini though will only charge at 11kW AC flat out hence starting instead of waiting and not using the time to charge. Also if I’m charging to 100% on a 50kw side and someone comes and is waiting to charge on the 50KW I will wait for the charger to show I’m drawing less than 11kW and disconnect and move to the 43kw or even a 22kW AC. I’m just too nice!
Hi again, really sorry to hear about this. I have dropped you a direct message to try and troubleshoot this charging session. We will try harder to get you a better experience. Sorry again.
I really enjoy your videos mate. But thanks to the charger situation I get quite tense. It can be harrowing! It’s like a journey into uncertainty LOL I don’t know how you do it. You convinced me of two things. The first is electric vehicles are marvellous. The second, the charger situation appears to be a shambles. Keep up the good work mate, and I watch the series of drama and excitement and beautiful scenery with interest.
I think that new drivers should initially just completely avoid any app/rfid card chargers, and stick to the established contactless providers. Instavolt, PodPoint and Gridserve etc. That said, I’ve had no problems on the few occasions I’ve charged using a similar ‘Electroverse’ card, which pays for sessions directly from my Octopus home energy bill.
@@PedalPowerPanther Octopus, good company they contacted me asking me to consult on the development for the Electric Universe app, on accessibility, I got them to add photos function. and advised on a number of issues, and they listened. I will be trialing their card soon.
Enjoy your vids i was in Retford the other week & went to Kennys but it was just closing so ended up eating at a Italian cafe called town best cafe Great Cafe Great Town
@@warnerswheelingabout4879 My Daughter has learning Disability's & they were so welcoming helpful & understanding Food was Great also We normally stop at Retford Wetherspoons on way to Whitby but glad we broadened our horizons I have also noticed The uncle Henrys signs on way but never stopped there hopefully put that right one day we are driving a Hyundai Kona really great car with a 64 KWH battery
Wow! That new card still not wkg? Have you spoken to Motability? That's one of the downsides if driving an Electric car. It literally is pot luck. Saying that , I still luv my car. I'm prepared 2 put up with that pot luck chance, as it's not a daily occurrence. Just have 2 b patient. Gr8 vid as usual Roger. I've used the Octopus Charger, last yr. I used my debit card & it was fine. So I sent off for their Rfid card. I haven't used their ard yet. So it'll be interesting when u test it out. Happy Wheeling.😊
The benefits of the car faraway the disadvantages of charging, having said that the charge network must improve. Octopus are great company and I’ve been working with them on their app much better
You could have charged at Barnetby, see you went through Sledmere, you could have called at my place on the way back and had a quick top up on my Pod Point
Barnetby is MGF EVPower, I’ve had issues with them, it’s not at all accessible and it’s expensive, the Podpoint was just 28p. Thanks for the offer I’ll pop in next time I’m passing 😝
The Paua card is not doing well so far is it?! Apart from that though what a lovely trip, your picnic looked fantastic! Not only is Mrs Warner great with a camera she's obviously a great chef too...I love those stacking bowls, they looked really useful and very cleverly designed, be interested to know where I might find them. Cheers both, really enjoyed the vid.👍
Thanks again for your support and your kind comments. My wife is an amazing cook I’m so spoilt Those food dishes are popular in Asia, especially in India you can make a variety of dishes and keep them warm because they are enamel steel.
