Are you an ICE fan or an EV devotee? Cybertruck and EV trucks in general generate a lot of controversy, and in some cases, for good reason. Trucks move us from A to B, and doing that in the best way possible matters. Does the divide help, and can EV trucks ever do the work that traditional pick-up trucks accomplish?
Some EV fans hate not only ICE trucks but other EV trucks! EV haters will fight to the last stand to guard their ICE trucks from 'invaders'. There is a solution, but can we pull it off?

This video came out b4 i started watching your channel. This is why i like your channel though. Objective thinking. Hope your channel grows as evs trucks grow. You should try and review the hybrid trucks some more cause where i live the charging infrastructure isn't there and i try and steer people this route sometimes. Its just reliability in the trucks hasnt been what it is in the car hybrids

The 12v issue is just the poor DC-to-DC management it seems. Took Tesla a very long time to tweak it. With poor DC-to-DC management even an 12v lithium would run down and fail. Glad they added a 16v lithium to the Tesla but they are still working thru those issues too. ie. aux power on the 7-pin still isn't working.

It is such a big deal that Ford and other EV manufacturers must address. People can't be worried about being stranded or having to buy a battery boost pack to drive their new vehicle - ev, gas, or whatever. Thank you so much for your comment!

@@truckedupevs It absolutley is a big deal. Apparently it is pretty complicated when you consider they are trying to minimize vampire drain (losing EV miles) as they want to put the vehicles in deep sleep (disconnect HV contact) to run less computer processing ... including monitoring the 12v and recharging it if it drops below a level. Tesla has it figured out and Ford will eventually. Also super odd that low 12v voltage stops Fords OTAs!! That was an issue with Tesla at one point (yikes I did a OTA on a road trip once ... BIG mistake as this was before Tesla fixed it). On a couple of our vehicle we use this very very low power usage device that monitors your 12v and lets you see it in a graph: QUICKLYNKS Auto Battery Monitor BM2 Bluetooth 4.0 - Amazon.

Thank you so much for your comment! That's exactly it - that we all need some kind of power monitoring system for our new vehicles. Hehe. I always thought they would have ironed that out BEFORE delivering the product, but hey - I'm naive. I've heard from many Lightning owners about the OTA debacle. I don't know why, but knowing that Tesla owners suffer (ed) alongside us is somehow comforting 🙂@@Scott-sm9nm What evs do you currently drive? All Teslas?

@@truckedupevs Started this path in 2011 with a GM Volt driven 98% on battery commuting. There have been 3 Volts (11,13,16) w/2 left in the family. Currently 3 Tesla's (X,3,Y). Future a BEV EV truck. Likely T3 or Cybertruck.

It seems to have infested almost every aspect of life, from politics to gender to phones. Where has the tolerance and the intelligent debate gone? It's been replaced by insults and personal attacks.
