Both awesome people I don't remember the whole thing that happened between Cus D'Amato and Mike Tyson I just know that other than getting Mike Tyson huge fight purses Don King was the worst thing that happened to Mike Tyson Cus D'Amato was Tyson's mental health anchor once Don King took over Tyson wasn't the same fighter or the same man and you can see it now years after Don King, Mike Tyson is totally different when he's not around Don King. Mama Holyfield was an amazing lady who told Evander what he needed to hear when he needed to hear it most mom's tell you what you want to hear not Mama Holyfield she tell you how it is and what you need not what u want Thank You Mama Holyfield for giving us the 4 time Heavyweight Champion of the World
@@j.dudley8019 yeah i don't know all about his personal life and it's not my business. I just know what he sounds like here and i know that nobody is perfect, including you.
Evander Holyfield is a evil, cheating, sick, human-predator that cares about nothing but himself. He intentionally makes his headbutts looks accidental so he can win boxing matches via headbutts. Nothing the man did matters. He will burn in H e l l. Simple as that. Never cheat. This guy breaks down the intentional headbutting ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lhrDjcwFn9Q.html .
@mari21304 everybody is special. Their is nobody more special than anyone else. Funny, the Jews think they're special, the Africans think they're special. Buy when white people decide THEY'RE special it's a major problem...
Most of the real fighters are humble and avoid fighting. They avoid fighting because they already know that they can rock 🎸 your boat 🚢. Most of the loud ones are just that, trash 🗑 talkers. Just like 👍 in WWe. The best trash 🗑 talkers get promoted as opposed to the ones with real skills.....or the ones that can actually mess you up (Ken Shamrock).
Either this or he's not telling the truth and it's all made up. Maybe he's using her as a shield when he lies, so people won't call him and his mother a liar out of respect for the elderly...maybe! That's a possibility which is nearer to the truth.
@@aliamjon2550 Eleven children with 6 different women and didn't pay his child support. A homophobe and a steroid abuser. Is he a bad man because of that? Not necessarily, and his heart might be in the right place, but I'd be careful in calling him a genuinely good person. It also doesn't help his decision making when he's had thousands of concussions lol
@@aliamjon2550 His wife has also accused him of physical and emotional abuse, but who knows the truth? Point being, never fully trust someone's public personna
@@jake-qn3tl Dude, why would I care if he's homophobic ? Unless you're a gay man why would you care ? He's not attacking any homosexuals, he's a Christian and doesn't agree with that lifestyle, it doesn't even make him a homophobic to be honest with you, just because he disagrees means nothing, As far as his kids and different women, technically he's not a good father, but that's his private life, there are worse father's then that, he is a part of there lives and has been for a long time, But thank you, I wasn't aware of how many women and kids he had
Here a video to help y’all see how dirty Holyfield was. Blatant intentional headbutts and also lows blows. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-lhrDjcwFn9Q.html Idk what y’all have to show that mike was dirty like this but if he was I’d like to see cuz I would change the perspective I have on the fight
I disagree. Forgiving is easy. People saying otherwise just don't like holding grudges and not learning from their mistakes. Not me! One warning ⚠️. After that, I won't let you cross the line again. That's the only way to get my point 👉 across.
Evander Holyfield was a small heavyweight. He was a blown up Light Heavyweight/Cruiserweight Fought most of his heavyweight matches around 220 lbs, he was fighting Riddick Bowe and Lennox Lewis, who were well over 250 lbs. In a fight that is basically about punching power, he didn't have much power compared to Tyson, Lewis and Bowe. Had a chin made of granite, and he had heart.
@@Suplex479 there’s no way you typed that and thought it made sense Tyson had a size disadvantage against most of his opponents including Holyfield he’s 5’10 Holyfield is 6’2 and heavier than Tyson
Wow..I clicked in to get the inside scoop on that crazy fight, not expecting Evander to cause me to self reflect about forgiveness...but he did. He is a great man!
Ralph Meta Evander is a fucking cheat. He kept head butting and kneeing Tyson. He won a lot of his fights like that. After he cheated Tyson in the first one, Tyson told him in the rematch if he kept cheating he was going to bite that ear off, he kept cheating and Tyson did what he said he was going to do.
Man... I respect this guy since the first time I ever saw him in the ring, I mean, he was so shifty and methodical, it’s so nice seeing him fighting, but after watching this interview, whole new level of respect for this man!
Being punch drunk varies from person to person, but I hear a lot of the time the issue is finding the words and verbalizing thoughts, not so much constructing thoughts or recalling memories.
Khabib just said something similar to this, too. Within the last day or so. In regards to forgiving Conor if he ever apologises he said if someone asks for forgiveness you must accept it (don’t quote me exactly lol)
Im having issues with my siblings and Evander hit home (for me) with his whole forgiveness talk. I live on a ranch in a rural area no one visits me I'm boxed in exactly as Evander said.
she sounds like she has a lot in common with Shannon Sharpe’s grandparents. very, very good advice that clearly helped shape their careers as all-time greats.
Great interview. Joe asks all the right questions. Love it. So much respect for Evander. He always gave everything. 100%. I first saw him fight in 1989 and said then, that's the guy with the tools for Tyson. 7 years later.......

When I watched those fights as a kid I rooted for Tyson. The more I saw Holyfield fight and the more interviews I saw of him seeing his personality I became a big fan of Evander.
Its the guests it isntt because of joe who tf can listen to his shit comentary or comedy stand ups for more than 30 minutes ??the guests are interesting they give you and inside to their lives nothing joe can say or do will give yout their thoughts
He was so athletic for his height he could've passed as a bodybuilder. No 5'10 220lbs athlete has ever been so quick and devastating. Tyson is often compared to Foreman, the guy with the heaviest punches in boxing.
Technically the best boxer in history. He had the techniques that beat the most talented boxers. He never gave up and he was a student of the game. Well versed and Evander's determination was second to none.
All good things come from god free will is not always a good thing. And thats why his brain told him bite back thats not a good thing. Then to reference god talking about violence in or out of the ring i call bullshit on his love for god. I love evander loved watching him fight. My opinion is all. And to say god spoke to him is absolutely bullshit that did not happen and you can not prove it. Enough with the god crap holy smokes god this god that. And god gave him the ability to beat another mans ass well then apperently he is ok with the brain damage that he suffers from god giving him good hands such bullshit. I get you have faith in some shit that you or anyone else in the world can never prove. Its just excuse to be a violent person that enjoys beating on another man. Again my opinion suits me and thats that.
Jeffrey King why does every atheist need to shout it from the mountain tops? Y’all are worse than vegans lmao Imho, it seems like the result of doubt, insecurity, and as a result overcompensation via never shutting up abt it. It’s like they need to keep convincing themselves or ur afraid u may realize how foolish you’ve been acting and thinking... that’s just my opinion and it suits me lol 👍🤔😒
Oh my God thank you for showing me this today!! Evander holyfield is my all time favorite boxer and is what got me as a kid to get into boxing and im so thankful I did. I never knew he did a joe Rogan interview. This is awesome. I wish I had Evander spiritual strength. Its something truly special
Holyfield is a great man and had a great career. I can understand Tyson's frustration as he was repeatedly head butted by Holyfield. Holyfield was a winner. He did everything he could to have an edge inside and outside of the ring. Watching this video gives me a new appreciation of how wonderful Holyfield, the person , is.
1:17- Evander Holyfield: “Well yana, I know bthskba arbc ya kna, ya know, I am you know, I’m like you know. I’m a Christian” 😂😂😂😂😂 No disrespect to the Legend but that was 🤣🤣🤣
Just 70% brain dead by the sounds of it, this is why it’s sometimes a negative thing to have an iron jaw like evander had, having an iron jaw doesn’t mean your taking less damage it just means you can take a punch. The accumulation of blows evander has taken through this career has resulted in Cte which is sad. The best way to fight in the heavyweight division is Lewis’s style.
Respect. I see alot of jokers here and when its actually funny ( none so far) I will laugh . Holyfield is a great example of good spirit and character. Do good be good feel good. God bless you all
i finally realized why Holyfield is my favorite boxer of all time, as a kid i remember holyfield never being loud never putting on an act just being a nice strong boxer, all the other boxers put on a show cursing back and forth... holyfield was calm and cool as a cucumber... he was a nice badass
@@TanRicky321 Yup. That's another reason Floyd is so great and why young fighters should emulate his style as much as possible. He's in better cognitive shape than anyone else who's fought that much for that long. That's why I can't believe he's going to the UFC. He's either experiencing financial issues or is just that addicted to the glory. In either case why not just box some more? Maybe he doesn't want to blemish that 50-0 record. Who knows.
@@annrambo3878 Idk bro, his slurring was pretty noticeable. Especially at the beginning of the clip. Though he does appear to have a sharp memory and overall strong cognitive function. It's the part of his brain that controls articulation and speech pattern that seems to be damaged. As far as "overcoming so much", I totally agree. Mike Tyson himself stated that boxing is for underprivileged youth who need some direction and something to focus time and energy on to help them stay outta trouble. I know my son won't be boxing. He can learn self defence and some type of martial art, but not boxing or anything that consists of blow after blow after blow to the head.
Long time before the ear byte fight, I saw that Evander was someone very special as a human being, he has shown some greatness like Muhammad Ali. He is a rare gem, not only as a boxer and I am so happy to hear how much respect and love his has for his mother. Must be a kind of a mother any "baby" should have and the world would be better.
@@bllackphillip it's sad yes but we had no idea what the damages of boxing were back in the day. ALSO coming from an impoverished background with EIGHT other siblings, what other options did Evander have? This wasnt a rich white kid living in the suburbs, politics aside, it was really fucking hard getting out of that cycle of poverty back then. Boxing was the only escape for men like that. Dont trash them for using the only opportunity he had. Would it have been better for him to slave away in a factory for some rich dude? Or sell drugs and spend 30 years in a penitentiary? Not everyone has opportunities like we do in this day and age.
