Knowing Rory’s backstory and how his dad passed semi recently, I can imagine this song was super emotional for them to record. He’s absolute perfection.

Absolutely beautiful! I love how they made it their own without copying the piano, etc... it makes it even more beautiful knowing his Dad past not too long ago and you can see the emotion...absolutely incredible! 😊❤️

I cried when I first heard this version. Just so passionate!

Originally I thought this was a breakup song, which it still can be for some I guess. I (since losing my hubby unexpectedly in 2019) have thought of it as someone passing away and their memory is ever present in your life. I saw somewhere that it’s supposed to be about grief and that hits for me. I have lost so many people I love and it wasn’t until my husband passed/covid did life slow down and I was able to start to process their deaths. Both versions are absolutely amazing for different reasons. I have to say this is a new favorite for sure as the original always has been.

This also being my favorite song by Evanescence, I almost didn’t want to like this prior to hearing it. He had me before the first “All of me”. Imo, just as emotion filled as the original. Man, Rory fuckin nailed it.

Seen Dayseeker twice last year. Yes they are that good live absolutely blew me away both times.

I love this track and thus cover is next level. I have been going through my own issued of late but this song made me ball my eyes out but still tried to sing along to it. After all these years this still hits hard

I'm only disappointed that they didn't do a band version too lol. The way Evanescence did. Going from the slow, and soft tones to that big breakdown hits so hard. Would've loved if Dayseeker did that too

So funnily enough the lyrics actually are "I've been alone, I'm alone" rather than what apparently EVERYONE heard to be "I've been alone all along"

Actually there are two versions of this cover. The "studio" version on Spotify is even better in my opinion, because Rory is nailing the bridge even more (more grit, more emotions) in that one. But in the end both versions are awesome.

Incredible remake of literally one of the most beautiful, saddest songs ever made, sung by one of the most beautiful women with the most beautiful voice lol. 🙏❤️
