Would be cool if Tesla built some automatic tinting windows. If you ever go to Cologne, then visit the café Reinhard next to the Cathedral. They feature glass doors for their toilets that turn opaque when you lock them, so no-one can see through while going about the business.

Ceramic tint won't effect radio signals but metallic tint will. Def look into ceramic tint 😊

I think the radio antennas are in the mirrors for NA cars. Might be different in EU due to frequency differences.

For those looking, just use some reflectix insulation for the side windows and even top glass above your head. Cheaper and a tighter fit. The wrong windshield, just get a sun cover from Amazon and as for the year, I'm in the process of making one from reflectix, but it has been a pain to cut correctly, but will be a tighter fit than with these.

Here’s an idea for the manufacture... label each panel on the black side. Label what side of the car and which way forward is. Especially for the roof panels.

On a cold day, with that installed, you can pre-heat the cabin faster too.

But then it's better to put it the gold side inside and the black outside - it will reflect heat to the interior and absorb sunlight from outside

I don’t if it’s already been mentioned..but you should try white gorilla duct tape for the the front. It wouldn’t be as gaudy looking as the gray

I feel like those aren't worth their price. I think they could be worth it, but even the suction cups are sketchy and light comes in around the mirror. I do wonder if leaving them off during the winter (in daylight) would actually heat the car up more from sunlight vs reflecting it all. Assuming proper direction is faced into the sun. I don't know the answer to that one but I'm curious.

Have to say.... those wires on the rear window are resistive heaters for defrosting.... the antennae are in your driver's side window lol

I have the front windscreen one for my 3. The cutout is way too big and it droops way too much to be effective. The model S one I had worked way better in my S.

Only ceramic tint will block out heat. Other tints block out light, but not heat making them effectively useless. I am not sure how any tints will effect the radio.

The windows are mirror shapes of each other. Can you push these panels with the black facing out and the gold facing in? For stealth camping.

Any source for Evannex products in Europe? Cost for shipment when ordering on the US website are up to three times the value of the merchandise. Heatshield 69.95 $, shipment to e. g.. Germany 240 $... Anyone any ideas how to reduce this?

Isn't the glass roof tinted so you don't need this for it? If you were in Florida or something I could see the need but you live in Norway Bjorn what the hell this is way overkill!

@@ThomasEmmerich I think the solution would be to use very thin, flat hooks on the top edge of the window glass. That still wouldn't keep the bottom edge of the shield snug to the bottom of the window, though.

Poor quality suckers, will be even harder to stick to glass when -15deg C. Evanex should just supply 20 blank credit cards as your attachment solution works better. They should use you to test all their products before going on sale.

I saw that your glass roof is all UV protected (turns red on both sections) mine is red only on driver section is this normal?!

Gualtiero Quario Rondo No, I read that there’s batch of VINs that the glass supplier didn’t add the uv protection during manufacturing. If you call the SC they’ll replace it. I don’t know the accuracy of this though.

In my opinion the front one let’s too much light in, the back piece should have been one piece and not devided and the suction cups are terrible

Accurate, can confirm. Suction cups don't work at all in cold weather, back top piece being split in two pieces is not great. Maybe this is only suitable for hot weather (the product name is heatshield but uh... are there cold weather suction cups? surely there is such a thing?)

Bjørn Nyland if you leave a dog in your car in Australia a good samaritan will come along and break a window to rescue it. Hundreds of dogs get "rescued" every year from cars in Australia. Usually at the expense of a window and/or a police fine.

Most auto glass these days blocks UV anyway, but the reason for these is efficiency and privacy. Why waste energy heating and cooling unnecessarily? And the app can't block the interior from view. I've had dark tinted windows for many years, but lately I have decided I don't like the reduced vision at night or for that matter any time. I really hate how dark the roof glass is in the Teslas - it completely nullifies the point of a glass roof when you can't see out on a sunny day, never mind the stars at night. I wish Elon would come to his senses and use electrochromic glass all around.
