What a finish in Evanston, Illinois! Blake Peters with the buzzer beater from 70 feet. Watch more exciting high school basketball action from the Chicago area Saturdays at 1PM on The U Too. wciu.com/gameoftheweek
With all the excitement, let's not forget that Al Bundy made 4 touchdowns in one game in 1966, helping the Polk High School Panthers win the city championship!
The most impressive thing I think is the coverage a high school television broadcast can provide. That was first class. Christ when I went we used courtroom artists and Polaroid Instamatic cameras with flash cubes.
Was thinking the same. I was talking to a guy who does a local HS TV station. I guess these productions are not as difficult to do as they would seem. I noticed one of the cameras. Tiny. But a great picture. I think the announcers were at tables behind the benches using laptops as monitors. The end result is a great looking broadcast.
His brother, Ian, is in most of my classes. I remember voting for this everyday on the espys. Another version of this video was taken by my neighbor, who works for eths
@@milmet3553 mmmm idk about that, they aren’t broke, but ETHS has a lot of bureaucracy issues. But it is a nicer gym than new trier’s (possibly the wealthiest public school in the north shore area).
something almost identical to this happened in Freeport, Illinois in early 2000 ...... Freeport beat Rockford East when a kid made a full court hail mary at the buzzer ....... that also resulted in pandemonium
0:30 - The glasses get kicked under the table by the orange shoes on the top left. PS: I'm the 2014 and 2016 world champion at Where's Waldo, and I once spotted Big Foot in the Bahamas.
The irony for the team that lost: you want to miss that free throw there. Generally, you want your opponent to attempt a three-quarter-court heave down by 2 instead of making the free throw and letting them organize by having the ball out of bounds. The chances of them making a three from an endline play and then winning in overtime are much greater than their chances of hitting a three-quarter court shot.
