Evapo-rust for another win! 

Did that in a car gas tank. Yes it works but it will flash rust a day after as you wash it out. So I had to do it TWICE, rinse thoroughly, bake immediately to dry then Red Kote inside immediately.

Slosh a little bit of diesel in there so it doesn't rust. It shouldn't flash rust but it will turn after a few weeks

I saw someone said red kote the inside and for real try that, did a few boat tanks years ago and stuff works amazing and claims to seal up rust pin holes

Why doesn't these snake oils work for me ? Tried some the other day on some taps & extractors over night and they got cleaner, but only about 50% was gone about 26 hrs. later and the pieces almost looked parkerized. The solution was dark brown...

What do you do to wash it out?

In the uk to fill that tank with tgat stuff would cost £100
