*Needed a cooler for a work cubicle **Fastly.Cool** . It did just what I needed, so easy to used and really cooled the space. I am glad that I got it and would buy it again.*

These gadgets don't operate the way real air conditioners operate. They're nothing more than simple "air coolers," which have been around forever. The fan blows microscopic water droplets around, which cools the air. However, I found a way to turn my Arctic Air, which is similar to this device, into a real air conditioner, and it should work with this. Simply fill the water well up with ice cubes, and add the tiniest touch of water. It'll have you freezing in no time. Try it!

I have the EV-1000 and it has been very useful for me here in Florida, I get about a 10 degrees or more drop in temperatures, that all depends what the indoor temps of the room, as well as how much humidity is in the air, if the conditions are dry and the humidity is low, you will notice the drop in temps, another thing you have to remember, is you have to replace the cartridge inside it every 3 to 6 months, that all depends on the amount of usage and the quality of the water, they say that its better using distilled water, but we don't have access to such, so we just use tap water.

TigerClaw thanks for the feedback. I tried it out for the summer and it worked great. With my apt being all glass, during the summer it gets fairly hot with the sun and having this saves me energy from running my massive ac which powers the entire apt.

A 12 to 15sqm type of room. Can it lower down the temp? Ex. From 40 deg. Celsius to 30? Or even 20?

the water doesnt need to be replaced it needs to be refilled it is a small evaporative cooler aka swamp cooler

If you stay In Florida it’s a waste because you’ll get hit with the humidity as well as the heat. They don’t call them swamp coolers for nothing.

I had a persona air cooler the only thing wrong with these are the fan speeds...the one I had blew cold air for real but you had to be like 3 inches from the thing to feel the breeze lol all it needed was a stronger fan

whats the radius this cools down? will it cool the room down at all?

Hi Skitz - the radius is around 33ft - Personally its great for your desk/close to your bed with direct airflow but if its in a large room it would be pretty difficult to cool down. Its more a personal AC which is amazing.

oh interesting, if I placed it on the desk it would only cool the top half of me then? my room isn't that big, I was thinking of getting the vornado with this and running it infront of the evapolar so it can cool a entire room down but I'm not certain how this works

Hi! Evapolar cools down the air within a zone just in front of it. Putting a fan in front of it may increase the efficiency, however, Evapolar devices are still designed to cool down only a personal zone (3-4m2), not the whole room.

ERIC Klingsten it definitely should be able to cool your van. It won’t turn frigid cold but it will surely help in the summer. Keep a bottle of wanted handy for refills.

Updated - added cooler. Note that I listed “air conditioner” as it stated that on the box and website. I agree that it doesn’t 100% qualify as a air conditioner but it’s pretty close.

nial personal air cooler means it's for the person, it's not enough to cool a room. But they only work if the humidity is not high.

this has to be the worst product ever their customer service is atrocious and they are unable to solve any problems and the smart Wi-Fi app does not work not with your money not what your time do not buy this product
