Hey Mitch. I checked this unit out last year and my research lead me not to buy it and I’m surprised you didn’t come to the same conclusion. We have ducted evaporative air conditioning here and while they’re great in dry conditions the suck when the humidity is high. I found they work best when blowing air directly on you. Maybe if that thing was a lot bigger you’d get it to work better

It was recommended to me, so I did a bit of research by watching RU-vid videos. Only one person hated it, so I figured I'd give it a try. Had I known about the humidity thing I wouldn't have bought it, but I figure at least it's been mentioned now in case someone else is thinking about it.

Sorry about the issue with the humidity. Here where I live it cools off around 15 degrees.

One of the strangest things is we haven't had rain (until last night) for over 3 weeks, but because we live in a water laden area the humidity's still high.

I struggled to get it to connect when I had it. I eventually sold it to one of my friends who commented on this video. It worked better for her than it ever would for me.

Evaporative coolers are old news in the southwest. No way will they work back east. Many people have them installed in there houses here. They work really well in the Tucson/Phoenix area where the humidity is very low (except for a month or so in the rainy season). Not so much here in Las Cruces where the humidity is a little higher. But they still cool a little here and they have very strong fans so they move a lot of air. Different from a air conditioner you open all your windows. When I lived in Tucson the one I had cooled really well on thoses days over 110 & 2% humidity. The stand alone models are kind of a joke. That little thing you have would never work anywhere. The people who made it know that. Maybe a night light. But any way, Greetings.

I had high hopes with it being a personal cooler, but I'll admit I had some reservations. But the two people who recommended it seemed happy so I went ahead and bought it, especially since I got a discounted price. It won't be on my desk long; matter of fact, I expect it to be off here within the hour.
