I went from dr to evasion and couldn’t be happier with the choice. I also rolled back to Lahn from guardian and strangely, the evasion build on Lahn feels better than the dr on guardian. Full pen/c9 evasion vs full pen/c5 on dr build. This is a pretty good breakdown of why so thanks.

With the new class reworks droppingg is this still relevant due to their crazy high accuracy modifiers? Im at the point in my gear progression where i have to decide between dr and evasion and im insanely confused on how to build. I play hash and alot of people (my self included) say to go evasion but since i large scale i feel like its going to be pretty bad. When all these new reworks come out and they have their insane accuracy buffs plus all the evasion debuffs that are thrown onto you in large scale i feel like evasion is just going to be completely dumpstered on by the meta.
Agree with ALMOST everything. The one exception to the rule that i would make, is the Sage. Yes, he has no inherent or passive buffs to evasion. However, damn near every ability he has buffs either his accuracy, or debuffs the opponent in some way. And they arent flat buffs...his accuracy buffs are straight percentages which is massive...that alleviates the need for bhegs on an evasion build. You could argue that Bhegs is needed for lower GS, but you for sure wont need it the higher you go on the spectrum. All it takes is landing a single skill, and your accuracy worries are over for the rest of the fight (most likely). Couple the above, with his rifting in and out of combat, he is extremely hard to lock down, especially when the Sage has a good amount of stamina as well. The hard counter to Sage is hard CC. If the sage does get hard CC'd, he isnt living through the CC, regardless of his build. Literally the definition of a glass cannon. The only exception is if the Sage has a significantly higher GS, and the opponent doesnt have the AP to one combo. So, if you are gonna get 1 combo'd anyway IF you get caught, then i would argue that evasion outweighs DR on the Sage class specifically, moreso than the other DR classes. Or maybe its just a playstyle preference. Idk. But ive been running evasion because thats what i had available and i absolutely love it
With the ease of access to mass's due to hadum servers and the blackstar(bs) boots coming out, would it be more beneficial to run BS gloves/boot/helm at Tet with fallen god amor?
Hello! Just wanted to ask about endgame (c20 gear) setups, I saw that in your most recent video, your zerker is using full eva gear, i'm assuming they are c20 cuz damnnnn. Does eva gear at c20 outshine DR c20 DR gear? Also, this video covers mainly PVP, do these pointers apply to PVE as well? would be nice to have a endgame pve gear setup too! I heard Ash Forest requires 100% KD resists and some things.. Thanks!

I disagree on switching to evasion so early on for every class. These days its so easy to stack accuracy even new players use elkarr and viper crystals because its allot more easy to get now. You dont want the drop under 281AP when switching because thats kinda the minimal you need for pvp. If you play an eva class i think you should only switch if you are able to afford to go pen C9 because with anything less you feel the downsides more.

Hello! Great video I learned a lot from it! I have a question though. If i'm an evasion build striker with pen heve, pen muskan, 275 ap, 339 dp(with pen kutum), is it okay to go for pen bheg's next instead of leebur and then tet bs armor instead of pen dim tree?

If u can, use griffon. What he didnt mention is that u actually should get full Pen c9 to make eva work really great. With Griffon you loose not too much eva but u still have enough DR for "not evadad" hits. So basically, IF the enemy rly hits u (and that will Happen for a certain chance) it will hurt much less.
i plan to run guardian. i got 377dp with 638 evasion and 284 damage reduction. plan to tag a guardian. will i be squishy on pve? i do not pvp by the way. i got 281/282/377 kutum. any advice? i really like guardian.
I would only go evasion on gauntlets/hash/shai tbh. While the other evasion classes you listed do have some form of evasion buffs built into their kit they dont have enough to really make it worth it in the current meta imo. With how abundant accuracy is now youre trading off a lot of damage potential for just minor defensive gain, which is especially bad for "assassin" or "bomber" type evasion classes such as ninja, musa, and lahn.
Definitely agree with this. A lot of people are getting enough gear now to have at least 1 accuracy accessory or 2 making evasion worse than it has been in the past. The prices of dawns/ominous rings are skyrocketing atm showing this trend
why guardian into DR? she has neither evasion passive nor DR passive...but she has a lot of protection skills in succ. could that be an interesting setup to fill her gaps between the skills with an evasion gear?

Great vid bud.. you briefly touched on this but I think it's kinda important as for me personally it was a factor in my switch to DR.. just like evasion has hybrid build options, DR has hybrid gem options unlike evasion which has a more strict setup to follow. Human Dmg as an example or max resist builds (which u did mention adman). Something I also consider is with the introduction of all the anti evasion addons and skills, nerfs to evasion kit options months ago, and some passives only being melee evasion instead of all, it really makes evasion feel less appealing. Especially when slot of the issues these days is mage classes.. not specially melee classes.
where does this leave Blackstar/fallen gods :o am new to gearing in general in bdo and it soo confusing xD, and also guessing "DR/Evasion" are more of a big concern if you play pvp alot? does it matter that much in pve, like won't being at like 350dp give you all the dp you'll need for most grind spot?

I think lahns should go DR with kutum to be honest ... Tried the Evasion build but the meta has shifted and most of the playera has those new accessories with accuracy .
Can you pin the name of the equips you posted around the 5mins mark for the evasion T.T sorry new to the game and I can’t quite grasp the name of the equips you mentioned there.
they do, at a lower grind spot you'd hardly notice it, since the mobs don't do that much dmg, but when you start grinding at ash forest or olun, you can very much see it. one time the mobs deal absolutely no dmg at all, and other time they kill you in a single blow.
some evasion classes are very squishy, so you die in 2 skills with dr and in 3 skills with evasion. might aswell just build dr for the AP. also some evasion classes have shit accuracy mods, which makes DR favorable. generally i would say stick to evasion on evasion classes if you do 1v1s a lot and if you focus on nws its better to just run DR on your evasion class. but thats just me
swapping AP for more evasion is typically what people mean - either via centaur belt or sicil necklace. Althought if you want more DR some people use a boss helm over heve (though as choice mentions you still need to maintain at least a min level of evasion so you need to be careful dropping heve)
Hey. First nice vid! But I don't get it...why are you squishier in PvE with DR? All I heard all these years was that DR is better for PvE than Eva. I also noticed this on warrior when I was grinding with Eva Set on. Sometimes I lost massive chunks on my healthbar with it and with DR dmg was much more reduced over time. So in total I used far less potions and wasn't scared of getting killed by mobs in higher spots. (btw i know warrior is not a great example for Eva vs DR discussion) But thats just what I experienced. Also thought my DR build wasn't good for hashasin but it turned out really well. Succession hash with hugh amounts of AP bc of using nouver is awesome. I appreciate comments :)
Mobs have bad accuracy so overall you'll be safer in Eva when you reach higher levels of it. Also you wear kutum pveing so the extra evasion from it helps tankiness whereas in a dr set this evasion isn't utilized. As for hash, all Eva classes can wear dr and they will definitely do more damage it's just a playstyle preference. More damage dealt for less tankiness
There are so many evasion debuffs in largescale; between the addon changes a while back, the already existing debuffs from classes, and Sage has like what 15% or 18% eva debuff too? Between all that and us finally having access to more accuracy accessories DR's definitely feelin pretty juicy these days. Way more interesting this way than the evasion or bust meta that was around for a while!!
Wdym Evasion is better for PvE..like some specific zones or pretty much everything? Just got full pen evasion im now 281/355 lahn but i was thinking in swapping to dr cuz pve.. to grind ash forest and some future high ap zones..(and ofc more dmg cuz nouver) But if evasion is actually better in pve that changes a lot... clear my doubt sensei xD
Since you wear a kutum in PvE and since monsters lack accuracy you will find on lahn a very big improvement in survivability at places like ash Forest, olun golems and really everywhere that hits hard. I would say at full c9 with duo fallen God you would probably be about 20% tankier. This tankiness would be super apparent when ur evasion buffs are up
what do you think about the full fallen god set which is predicted to come? do people just stick to c20 evasion gear or swap their shit to fg? I saw fallen god has better evasion than c10 dim tree, but leeburs for example will probably have different evasion stats than fallen god gloves, if that will be a thing
can we expect from you a full pvp guide from scratch like what cc is and what cc limit, what float, air attack down smash, what resistance, what super armor and . i am someone who never find a complete guide for it and I really hope you consider making a guide for it, please

A lot of succ wizards are switching back to DR. It’s definitely a class that can rock either or and still be very effective. Witch can too tbh but she benefits from high ap the most
Its quite odd that I enjoy the playstyle of every character in the evasion bracket (besides shai xd). Looks like imma just stick to a full evasion build and be super annoying in pvp and maintain the option to swap between those evasion chars. 🤣
You will mostly be tanky to lower gear players/ low accuracy players. Sorc is a pure 1vX class so being able to tank the lower gear players Will help you in the long run.
So for instance if you get hit out of spam and the 580gs player smacks you with a high damage attack but lacks accuracy. He’ll end up missing the attack and you’ll be perfectly fine cause evasion won you RNG.
The pros and cons are virtually identical as evasion on a dr class and dr on an evasion class, except you would gain a higher degree of tankiness on the evasion class for going evasion compared to being a dr class and going evasion
I'd say Sage is a weird one, considering the fact that a sage would be in his movement skill and invulnerability most of the time coming out of it to deal damage, evasion would be a better fit than most of the other DR classes. Even if he's debuffed, he can go into his movement skill to wait off a good portion of debuffs and reposition essentially eliminating one con of him running evasion. Though he'll have less AP I feel like he'll still hit like a small truck instead of a freighter. Just a thought
I heavily disagree with you when it comes to Sorc. Sorc isnt a takny class at all and you really want to have ap on here to be able to kill ppl fast. I can see eva on sorc when u have a shitload of gear bc u really want to keep your ap also since i think that an dr acc build is better on sorc its really not to good to run eva in my options at least
Um witch and wizard are better for evasion i see alot of pvp large guild have evasion witch and wizard so you are wrong on those two class rember they run parrying dagger
I agree, most of the 700gs mages in my guild run eva but they aren't running parrying dagger. There is no way you are killing anyone with "high gear" wearing parry dagger sitting at 245ap.

Also, i didn't say there's no gear progression but nowadays you have tuvala and narc gear so new player don't really care or better don't even need to know what they are doing. A full pen season with muskan ( pen tuvala is yet muskan) can grind basically any spot pre Elvia ( excluding syc and shit like that ) until they can go Biraghi and then orc camp. After tuvala/narc gear you start understanding what you want or need to do to progress, so why would someone even bother arguing about evasion or Dr when the game forces you to have some things.
Yeah dr is better, because in this meta its better to have more dmg, cus u will die anyway regardless if u run dr or eva. Im a kuno main and I completely dropped my evasion build and swapped to dr
Evasion will still be tankier on sorc and Kuno compared to dr, and to a quite high degree too. You do lose damage by being evasion, so it's just a difference in playstyle. Heedun prefers high risk high reward play
@@ImChoice Maybe I didn't explain myself properly. What I mean is: at very high GS, going evasion without sacrificing AP (meaning 610+ evasion or something), a full DR build that doesn't sacrifice AP is tankier (even if it goes over dr cap), at least for sorc (according to heedun at least).
Off in is only better for certain classes with good accuracy buffs since your losing around 20-30 accuracy if you running offin. Classes off the top of my head that can run offin are succ valk, and either succ or awakening hash. There’s others but for almost every class you wanna run kzarka. You also only want to run offin once your super high ap.
@@Who-Uhm-Cares well you also have to take Ava soon build into consideration when deciding offin or kzarka, because you might have a lot of gear score, but if you are pure ap, your not going to do much damage against players as heated as you. Watch bio hacks damage testing with an insane evasion archer.
If you use evasion you must maxed out insane dammage and critical for skillfull player . If you use dammage reduction you need to increase life max as possible cap of hp at any game .
people sleep on Ranger evasion... Ranger both in succ and awaken have massive All Evasion on Ebuff, decent base evasion rates and something no other class in the game has, a seperate 6.5% All Evasion Z buff for 60 secs... yes their DR is terribly low but their evasion is very good. Also Tamer has very good base evasion, 6% all evasion in awaken, 9% all evasion in succ and 15% on Ebuff, Again terrible DR but at high levels are still built evasion class. Wiz and Witch can go either way with small succ passives and thier Ebuffs... the Only Evasion classes that truely get no All evasion of any class are of course Musa and Maehwa. Shocking as they are missing half a normal kit as well.
