It's crazy how Eve Online ships would out right rival Warhammer 40k naval ships in size casually and Titans are common sights for New Eden compared to how rare the largest 40k ships are in comparison.

also eve ships are generally better, ( in my opinion) more vast in numbers, and easily replicable, compared to 40k ships which cannot be replaced because they are from the dark age of tech.

@@jathiyakhan720 from my understanding rare battleships are treated as holy relics, and their maintenance/repairs are tied up in religious rituals controlled by the adeptus mechanicus. Taking one apart just to see how it works would likely be regarded as sacrilege and heresy.

@@jathiyakhan720 Religious mummery I guess, and a backwards belief that human technological advancement is what caused the age of strife, hence the name "dark age of technology". There was also a period before the unification wars during which mankind went to war against an AI it had created so that may have also caused some general distaste for advanced technology as well.

I would love to see this, but with all the known ships and possibly a colored faction tag near the name of each ship, make sure you don't lose sight of the nearest points of reference too fast as it happened before the Naga. Maybe linger 1-2 more seconds on each of them to allow for second thoughts or realizations, other than that great job

In perspective EVE Online average starship sizes are massive if we compared them to other Sci-Fi like Star Wars, Halo or Warhammer 40K

Not true the avg size of a covenant battlecruiser is 1,782 metres of which made a big % of their fleet , the covie super carrier , the equivalent of a titan was 29km in length . But the covies where small fries in comparison to the forerunners , Mantle's Approach, the Didact's 371-kilometer-long personal command ship, was noted as not being the largest of its kind and they where not even war ships for the forerunners , their fortress class ships are said to have spanned 100's of kilometers each carrying well over a million support craft by itself ..... and they had thousands upon thousands of these , so on the contrary halo makes eve look like the kiddies pool .

@@HwangInhoBooNam Thats literally the in lore numbers given for the ships lmfao , the ark in halo is some 125000km across and it was known as the lesser ark ..... the forerunners built entire fortress worlds and then shifted them outside reality , entire worlds just to use them as a bunker .

@Htw 180 maybe true for humanity slightly less true for the covenant and certainly not true for the forerunners who had millions of these ships, the forerunners make 40k look like children ne remind EVE.

Nifty idea, but a little lacking. A handful of general buildings or landmarks would be nifty so folks could see how towering even the smaller ships are, and the camera movement makes it almost impossible to keep a constant comparison from the smallest to the largest. Almost makes the Titan seem small in the end.

This video is so wrong... 0:01 - it's called Capsule. Also, why is it upside-down? 0:13 - 11 m it's Warden's height & width, not length. Your Warden is definitely taller & wider than 11 m... 0:15 - why didn't you show a Fighters? 0:19 - Ibis is a Corvette. 0:29 - why did you put Bantam after Kestrel and Merlin after Bantam? Shouldn't smaller ones go first? 0:37 - why your Heron is so massive? It's only 69 m tall. A smallest Caldari Frigate. 0:52 - Jackdaw is 502 m only in a Propulsion Mode. In a Sharpshooter Mode it's only 410 m approximately. 0:58 - Blackbird is 388 m WIDE, not LONG. It's about size of an Osprey. 1:13 - Badger and Tayra are Haulers. 1:37 - Again, Minokawa is 4 687 m TALL, not LONG. Also, why didn't you show EDENCOM and Mordu's ships? They are Caldari too.

1) a capsule is also called a pod ingame 2) all measurements are taken from ingame 3)i might have missed the fighters 4)yes ibis is a corvette and nothing in the video that says otherwise 5)bcs bantam is bigger in size even though it is shorter in length 6)all measurements are of length and heron is 69m long as it is taken from ingame data 7) the maximum achivable length is being displayed for each ship and a 3d model of jackdaw in propulsion mode wasnt available at that time 8)as i said all the measurements are taken from ingame data at that time 9) EDENCOM and Mordu's are a different class of ships

@@_DataMiner_ 1) it's officially called Capsule 4) you just didn't mention it for some reason (while mention every other ship type) 6) EVE always shows measurement for ship's largest dimension. For Heron it's height, for Blackbird it's width, etc. 9) They are still Caldari.

1:24 I don't know what do we mean by battleship but It is just me or does the *Raven* and the *Scorpion* both design looks like a some kind of heavy space fighter instead of "battleship"? Especially the Raven. So beautiful design but If I wasn't told about its actual size watching that, I would imagine It smaller And It wouldn't be only that but If not, if they were a fighter they would be huge, massive. I mean, we are talking about a fighter which is bigger than the Star Trek's Enterprise 😂

That's like saying how real world battleships actually look like motorboats or yachts because of their shape. Ships historically haven't been classified by weight or looks, but by _role._ A battleship has a different role than a frigate or a galleon (even though ships of the line / battleships evolved from galleons). Battleships have to be heavier than a cruiser or (torpedo) destroyer or scout vessel, because of the _role._ Since EVE is a fictional MMO, their ships can look like anything the designers want them to be. One faction could fly spheres, another pyramids and another cubes if that's what tickled their fancy.

@@grondhero whatever you think, the intuition would tell everyone that ships like the Raven looks closer to a fighter than a large and heavy ship such as a battleship. In fact, doesn't its design remind you of the X-Wing from Star Wars? you should try this by showing it to one of your friends

@@htw1805 In fact it does _not_ remind of a _Star Wars_ vessel, but a _Star Trek_ vessel: the bird of prey. This is fictional spaceships. CCP could create a ship that looks like the letter "B" and call it a fighter or a capital ship.

@@grondhero thats not the point, the point is if you show a normal person the raven they wont think a big battleship.. Its true too. The thing about eve is the ships are insanely large, even the "small" ships are huge
