New subscriber here! Is attacking Haulers legal? Or does Concord come after you? Also, what was the ship you were flying? I have seen it before but the name escapes me. Thanks

Why do you do it the hard way ???? Just pinpoint what station the hauler dock and w8 on udock whit battleship and heavy scram.... In battle ship you can take your sweet time killing the hauler loot it and then reset the agro by docking.... Why the fuck whud anybody do it this way???

@@joesphtesla4257 Its CCP so they are lazy coders that mean that NPC will allways dock in same station in the system. All you need is to watch where it warp from belt then you write that info to notepad and boom every time you visit the system you know where to w8. Its same as folowing player you can easili pin point the station from deep scan.

Yeah If you badly need the isk- sell the boxes. If you dont really need the isk -open the boxes. Sometimes the box drop Rorq skins which sell for a good price and also faction/storyline mining modules which can be very profitable.

I wish you could snap look at your own bookmarks or completely scanned signatures. I have to manually do that.

For book marks you can use the first person view trick, Dscan will align out the front of your ship in this view so all you have to do is align to your bookmark and rescan for each one. I would love for them to make it easier to scan bookmarks, but for now this is how I do it.

Is this enough dps for a tech2 hauler?

We used 4 polarized Bombers to take them out. It worked but if you screw up you lose most of the money you just earned...

No, it's not. You either have to have a bunch of dudes or trick them.

I can't break the Badger before fleet lands, all other T1 haulers melt fast enough. Base resists are not very high but i can't break the shield, any ideas (which don't include expensive magstabs or implants)? The other T1 haulers are no big problem.

I havent tried yet, but I would try the hecate first and see how long it would take to burn thru its tank. The other t3ds like the confessor or the svipul might be more suitable if the hecate doesnt work

If you look to the left of the capacitor you will see three icons. The top icon is the tactical camera. Click on that one and you will be able to remove the lock.

It lowers your standing with said Npc Corp.

Skins and sometimes, if your lucky, mining upgrades!

I have tried to take on the defense fleet with some success then I got a response fleet comprised , not of frigates, but cruisers and battleships! So it is best to find ways to avoid the response fleet.

Standing hit isn't that bad. You need 800+ dps to break the less tanky haulers, not sure if a single alpha can push that.

This isnt a event. They are just npcs that spawn in a system and mine in the belts.

The ore disappears into void. Not sure if that lack of demand was the reasons or one of the reasons for their introduction though

I didn't consider the possibility that taking NPC miners and haulers down could cause local shortages in minerals... maybe it could be worth trying to see if regular attacks on NPCs increases the sell value of resources.

Its not concord that comes kill you. It is a faction specific response fleet. the time it lands on grid seems to vary though.

C rus It depends on how soon you need isk. If you need it fast just selling the crates is the best course of action. Most of the time you will get cheap skins that dont sell quickly and for much. If you can wait and dont need the isk right now opening the crates can give a small chance to get rare mining modules that can get up 500 mil or more depending on the market rate.

Yeah I think it is enough. It really depends on what you what to do in game. If you what to mine...sure! If you what to manage a corp probly mot.

Kishi, if you are talking about US military, particularly the Army or Marines, don't count on having much free private time for the first year or more of your enlistment. The Navy would probably also keep you busy. Maybe you will have the free time if you go Air Force. After basic, you will be going to schools for your MOS -- and you will still have cleaning and guard details and PT sessions in between your studies, in addition to keeping your gear and quarters spotless. When you get out of the schools, you will still be a "f---ing useless noob" -- being assigned to various details in your "free" time. After that, you may have free time in the evenings -- if you don't get snagged to fill in for some detail, because another guy was absent, or some NCO suddenly decides it is time to give the quarters or some area of the base a thorough cleaning. Most guys that are not assigned evening or weekend details make an effort to get away from their quarters and their unit's area during their free time -- so they don't get snagged to fill in on some unexpected detail. After you get a few years in, and gain some rank, it gets a little better.

quixter11 I will have around 4 hours free time, my MOS (armor Crewman) has OSUT, so I won't have any classes afterwards, yeah I can get cleaning detail etc, but my friends who enlisted into the same mos are on Xbox for around three hours a day. I no longer plan on playing this game though, it is toxic.

I'm thinking it's the same general reason the pirates come after the player miners and not the NPC versions. Shooting a NPC miner is PVE not pvp

It felt more complex when I first started but as I played I learned the basics and recognized to avoid the most complicated game play that require a much higher amount of time that I am willing or able to give it.

I wish I was able to do that, but I WANT IT ALL! Hence, I quit - again! :)

That's why we love Eve, there is always something new and humbling about every encounter and path. I have never been bored playing it, apart from mining, mining is a gruelling necessity.

Probing them down can gets irritating for me since they move around and dock up so much. It feels easier just to dscan the belts

They do dock up in stations sometimes. If they do that, they also tend to undock from the same station. You can kill them there as well.

No just their response fleet. I don't remember if you go suspect or not. If you do other players can shoot you, so be careful of that.

Those haulers still spawn sometimes in the belts and they still have minerals in them.

Hrm... maybe not.. looks like the best I can do is going to be significantly short of the necessary DPS. Best alpha fit I can find is 100DPS short of your cold DPS, and you're overheating. Still, thanks for showing it. Don't see many people trying these.

I get around 835 dps in Sharpshooter mode and with the guns overheated. That is enough dps to gank a t1 hauler and get out before the defense fleet can point me. I think we need more dps to kill a t2 hauler before the defense fleet shows up. I am think a Attack BC.

I know i'm late to the party, but if you want a high DPS alpha fit, try the Naga with blasters. mine gets nearly 900dps heated; shreds T1 haulers in 5 volleys with more than enough time to warp out (make sure you're aligned first). An omega fit Naga can drop 1500dps heated with polarized blasters firing void, which i think should be enough for T2? Maybe? Downside is its kinda slow

They are npcs. Dealing with the response fleet is the penalty.

No, I get that, but it's just painfully obvious that you're just moving from 'room' to 'room'. Elite: Dangerous did a really good job of it, where as you move, your relative point of view can slightly differ or change. 'Cuz you know. You're in a ship that can jump many light years.

@@Synnkai it actually does change with every system as your point of view shifts around the various nebulae and stars. you can actually turn on lines in space that will show your plotted route from star to star, you can actually see each system as a star in the sky... it takes more than one or two systems to make a big difference as you are moving small distances relative to the huge world. but each system is definitely unique and the skybox represents your position in space relative to the visual items

As long as your fleet dps is around 1k dps you can take them down like this. I did it with a few friends and it was very fun. They haulers drop strong boxes and in those strong boxes you have a chance to get skins/faction mining upgrades/faction mining drone blueprints.

Mike Morgan a Hecate is a tech 3 destroyer or t3d . It's way above frigates .. One Hecate with a good fit costs 50-150m isk

I see what your saying however as far a tonnage and game play is concerned it makes little sense. A massive hauler should be more than able to carry enough defenses to turn this little destroyer to dust T3 or not it's ultimately about mass. But it is only a game. so I guess in that universe it makes sense. ty
