Hurray for having real 3d people in Eve trailers!!!! It will pave the road to seeing real emotions on character's faces rather than just seeing spaceships fight in every trailer. Good job on scale too btw!

As a carebear, the GM-run events leading up to the Incursion expansion were the best times I've ever had in EVE. Got my name on 9 cap ship killmails as part of an anti-Incursion fleet.

"Keep your distance, I don't know what they're doin' here." If I saw 3 phantasms, and I was sitting in a hulk, I don't care how many other hulk buddies I had with me, nor about the ore, when it comes to Sansha, its like wolves among sheep... I would have warped to the sun and logged off to go hide in my basement for a few weeks until the horror ended.

@BurrTheKing In the start it is complicated, a steep learning curve. After a few days or weeks you get used to the interface. The game has a lot of different skills, don't worry about learning them all. "Walking in Stations" or "Incarna" is the next expansion to come. It should be released this summer. Though I think it will only, to begin with, cover the captains quarters.

What's that thing at the bottom left of the screen at 1:24? It looks like a Visitant (Jove industrial). Edit: Never mind, it's a Sansha outpost.

@BifordusMaximus Yes, we do. We're able to run with a minimal crew count, but in things like Battleships even that count can be extremely high. They're also considering throwing in a new feature where you can hire crew that specialized in certain tasks, boosting your ship's effectiveness in certain areas.

This is one of the best, if not the best trailer i have ever seen for a game. This the reason I love EVE because you take the time to put as much effort in the game as you do your trailers and your storylines are excellent. I love EVE and thank you CCP.

This is one of the most Epic game trailers ever! Man, I've been playing this since 2006 and every new expansion re-freshes the game, brings new life to it new things to explore and to. CCP always strives to stay on the cutting edge, no the bleeding edge of graphics and technology. I would gladly see a full length CGI movie made by CCP based off eve. Hell, most of their trailers are movie quality.

Man, How bad is an Incursion? There was an Incursion in my Home System 2-3 weeks ago, and i never ONCE seen an enemy ship. Not even when the Pirate Strong Hold was around, i only ran into their ships at Asteroid Belts. It was .7 Sec, tho.

I love how these guys scream when their ships are dying instead of just going "Ah dang guys I'm dead" like everyone else =]

If I saw three of any combat ship and was sitting in a hulk in lo-sec or null-sec, and i didn't have guards i'd hightail it out before i get tackled and popped!

@BurrTheKing EVE is not a game where you try to learn all skills. if you train for something specific you can blow up a vet in the right situation. there is alot of scissor/rock/paper and a noob can still win. its not like most MMOs where you get to the end game. the end game starts when you start playing. yea there are the biggest ships but in order to fly them you have to be the kinda player who can persuade others to support your endeavor, so flying the huge ships is not for everyone.

@SpadgeEatsSouls i had 2 ships on that journey i hadnt taken point A to point B trip i had to do alot of shit as a condition for my alliance contacts helping me in a couple of fight and for ammo and shit also i was using a Myrmidon first it got destroied then an aliance contact helped get a Nemesis but as part of the deal i had to help his corp with other stuff so i had to back track to keep my end of the deal so i was going back and forth throught 0.0/low sec the whole time

I've been playing eve for a while now but one thing has confused me. Are we (podders) supposed to have ship crews? It always seemed wierd to me that we have these massive ships with "windows" but its controlled by just one pilot who is in a pod. I know Its not necessary but it has bothered me for quite some time. The trailers always give the impression that all ships have crews & captains. I feel it woud be an interesting detail to have the option of adding crew members for no reason at all.

@Dmoney3788 damn you! I admit I am a carebear I shed my tears in the beginning for losing my internet spaceships. Most of our tears come from inexperience and not knowing how to make ISK. But in the end we must realize that its just a game. Nowadays if someone canflips me I shoot at them since I know they are looking for a fight. I always lose but its fun. Carebears with teeth are not as fun to kill since we shed no tears.

With each new trailer CCP shows just how committed to growth and adaptation they are. Watch the first trailers compaired with the last 4 or 5. Look at the new cahracter creation technology, the graphics updates that have come over the last two years inside eve itself. I for one wouldn't turn away from a chance to see an Eve movie. I think CCP could do it.

EVE is what all MMOs should be like- there are criminals but being a criminal does not make you untouchable, criminals can be baited and tricked by thoughtful players. the player who out thinks his enemies wins in EVE, and the battles are not always physical, sometimes the battle is one of economics.

@inflamed666 i understand why u doubt me i didnt explain well enough i had to do some shit for the corp picking up stuff around 0.0 also i wasnt alone i met a couple of alliance contacts along the way they helped at times

@7Epitaph Its weird really cos EVE is the only game I have ever gotten an adrenaline from in PVP, When you die in EVE it feels real to you, like you have lost something, this game is beyond amazing.

Didn't get a chance, my screen flashed really bright blue light, and then my hulk started evolving, going into this sort of green egg state.

@MrStaghare Fly a Raven do you? Try standing up to them in a T2 fitted Apoc...they become your most valuable farming crop.

@FusionAlchemist The new player (A) will get 7 extra days in the trial, which is good. If they like it, they will want to subscribe. (A) will pay the normal price to get 1 month, and then (B), Patentclient10, will also get one month. This is really a good deal, because (A) will get +7 trial days, and (B) will get +30 days game time. (A) will pay $14.95 for his own 30 days, AND (B) will also get 30 days. Both people are gaining, and no one is losing. I would do this any day. Great deal.

@jdburns87 WoW can be played and understood by younger people, and yes, you'll find more immature people on WoW...but there is no denying that WoW IS a good game. The lore is amazing, the zones and exploration are very fun, and there's nothing like learning to be on your toes with your class in the battlegrounds. I play EVE as well, have for nearly a year now. EVE and WoW are both equally great games, just on completely different fields.

@Tuberuser187 Unfortunately, thats world of warcraft. Warcraft, however, the pre-wow game, which does have the burning crusade named "reign of chaos" which is off a book or whatever, was created in 2002. Meaning the book / concept was wrote before 2002, considering they didn't make a game in 1 year. I love eve, hate wow, so don't get meh wrong. I'm just sayin, ur wrong

@trentonx Which opinion? About the game won't be like the video? Or agreeing with the other comment about Eve still being a griefer/bot bore-fest? On the both points, EVE is only how you play it. If you're not in an engaging corp, you're likely stuck griefing or mining or playing against lousy AI in their missions. The videos tend to only emphasize the limited scenarios when gameplay isn't like that. I played for two years.

@FusionAlchemist Yeah, but why exactly is that BAD for the person who gets a free trial? Isn't this more of a win-win situation (both people gain) as opposed to a lose-lose situation? If someone signed up under him, they would get 21 days free and he would get a month free. There's nothing wrong with that, everybody wins.

@karrakis Yeah, I totally agree with this, I can understand some limited PvE content but like the entitled morons of WoW, they may start to flood this game demanding easy/lots of PvE. This could become a problem, with people crying about losses and the game being too hard and stuff. We all love EvE for what it is, please don't change the core of the game =[

@stormtroopera52 Well they already get that money for charging people 200 for a yearly subscription. But even then the game is still cheaper to play than WoW because you don't pay for the expansion. EVE online you pay.... 200 for a year WoW you pay 200 for a year + 120 for expansions = 320 dollars.

i know this is just a game, but it seems like they took a page from the bible and mock it, as if Jesus Christ gonna return in that manner lol. He gonna return with clouds of power and great glory, not in some ships. Ofcourse many of you won't agree.

The only game developer that is even close to competition is VALVe. I'd say thy're neck and neck.

@p0th3adny meh doesn't surprise me. My girlfriend plays Eve everyday and if being a girl makes people want to play more then thumbs up, plus thats a free month/plex for them.

Before you do, a Rifter shows up and see your under attack by Sansha's ships.. He has a split second to make a choose. He just fly's on by.

They should try and make the game as exciting as the trailer, every new expansion trailer is further & further away from the actual gameplay :(
