They could add to mining features similar to exploration. They don't have to be mandatory, they could be used to get a couple of percentages more yield and if you play the minigame just right, get a very small quantity of minerals that are higher value. And they could factor in cooperative play into the minigames, to make it worth playing with others. Unfortunately, minigames get old and annoying really fast. So, IDK it'll have the impact you hope it does. I mean, with exploration, you look for sites and avoid getting detected, pretty difficult in of itself, the minigames you play are interrupted by core gameplay. But can you imagine having to do the same minigame 2h in a row?

during mining you allways need to be ready to warp out, you realy cant just afk because there is a lot of gankers, while its kinda boring to just wait but you can do something else like chatting with miners, do project discovery (its aditional isk from inigames! almos like suggestions here!) or read a book or at least read something

Correcting some misinformation, you can mine via the moons. Moon goo, however, is still a null/low thing. IE this is basically ore fields you can spawn inside a WH via the structure instead of waiting for the whim of wormholes.

early next year, Holers and even .5 highsec are getting moon mining. plus, since it has to be physically mined by players now, you can't just have one guy set up a starbase and hog it all. he'll need to physically go out there to mine it. plus, every moon frack has a chance to be a "Jackpot" frack, which'll give better quality stuff, making mining any moon good, rather than having specific moons be better.

it's Corps in EVE. also, the cool thing with moon mining is the refinery'll also keep a list of everyone who accesses the field.... so you can go hunt someone who swiped your stuff down.

On top of that, the first mode is made to carve a chunk of the moon out, likely not damaging a ship caught in the path. The second explosion one could definitely damage or even kill something, but not to the extent of a purpose built superweapons.

interestingly enough, your Alphas are about to get a huge boost too. 20mil skill cap (you'll need to upgrade to omega for a short bit to reach it though), and access to Battlecruisers and Battleships, T2 medium and light guns, and all factions :)

My old mains have BC and BS focus, so if I can play them on Alpha this will be fun. It has been years since I took a BS in to planned pvp. And they couldnt even jump in them to get the t2 guns out with alpha. :) This could be fun.

Well the old moon mining system will be removed and replaced with the new one. After that it's only 3 things pos towers will do jump bridges cyno generators and cyno jammer the rest have all gone to upwell structures

and you know those're coming soon. Starbase Towers'll be a thing of the past in the next year or two.

Not sure what you mean by cinema mode but here's some ideas for squeezing out some performance in Eve... Depending on your resolution, you could sacrifice AA to keep frame rate up. It's much less noticeable the difference between low and high settings in terms of image quality. You might notice it turned off if you're looking for it, but you'll forget that it's not on after a minute or two. Lowering resolution, while not the best option, is a quick way to improve performance as well without the need to reduce or outright dissable graphic effects and features. Lowing the UI scaling can help in such a case to keep window screenspace clear of UI clutter. You might also want to try seeing if changing the window mode Eve is in to see if your setup works best in fullscreen, windowed, or windowed borderless. Out of game, you should check with your NVidia Control Panel settings to make sure that "Power management mode" is changed to "Prefer maximum performance". The default is usually set to "Optimal power" and is generally only useful for laptops to lower power consumption rates and save battery life. On a desktop or laptop on a power cable, this is often unneeded and setting it to maximum performance allows the card to work at it's fullest without being throttled by the driver. Speaking of drivers, keep checking NVidia's site frequently for driver updates as out of date drivers can and often eventually will degrade performance over time in any case.
