EVE Online - Reliable 110mil/h T4 Abyss high-sec 

Thanks for the video. I am currently flying this fit so I want to share my thoughts on it after 30 runs. I have the majority of my skills in 4 (no rigging skills at all though) and there were no problems at all with the exception of 3 ways. 1. Marshal room - Aceface is right, once you enter this room send your drone to kill one battleship and burn the opposite direction, shield will not drop below 30% 2. A wave with lots of scyla tyrranos and karibdis tyrranos. I have not found a good strat here yet, scylas are quite easy to kill but karibdis both beefy and do a lot of omni damage. 3. 8 kikkis wave - the only wave I lost my ship to. My mistake was to focus tangling and starving kikkis first, so I could fly faster in order to loot more nodes, but striking kikkis do a lot of explosive damage, so once I realized that it was too late, thus always focus striking kikkis first. I hope this message will save your ship someday xD PS. 200 runs update (I will leave my first comment so you can avoid beginner's mistakes) . No ships were lost since my terrible mistake in kikkis wave. I have added 2 augmented hammerheads for ephialtes waves and replaced power relay with another faction drone damage amplifier as I am confident in my piloting skills now. Besides, now I am using a packrat tractor unit and just shoot nodes from max missile range and then station MTU near the gates. I do it like every second wave, only if nodes are not super far away and my drones are still busy, trust me it will increase your income by 15-20%. So regarding the spawns there are only 2 waves demanding your attention. 1. 2 devoted knights +~4 priests spawn. We dont have much EM resistance so kill knights first ASAP, it is a pure dps check wave. 2. Karybdis tyrranos wave. It is the most dangerous wave, some scyllas have tackles so dont let them caught you in the viscinity of Tyrranos as its wrecking shots will no doubt impress you xD. First you keep range with tyrranos 65+ km, kill all scylas and then if you have more than half of your shield you can burn right at tyrranos as it will be missing its shots once you will reach a 2km distance. PPS. It is an amazing fit for newcomers like myself, as we dont have much SP and can skip capacitor, shield booster and drugs related skills and focus on drones, shields and spaceship command first. I have already bought a mid-grade nirvana implant set (including omega) and Gistum C-type multispectrum shield amplifier to replace thermal one. In 10 days I think I will have enough skills to be confident in T5s, so keep in mind that you can also follow my progression path.

For players in 2024: This fit is less forgiving after the changes in subsequent patches. You will need to pay attention in some of the rooms, learn where high damage and neuts occur. If unsure, stick to T3 Gamma, which will be much more forgiving.

Took the plunge and decide to buy my first Gila (always been an Ishtar man) and tried this fit. Couldn't get the rigs anywhere near a reasonable price so I got the T1 version and just ran a T3 Gamma. It was a piece of cake! Even got a triple Cynabal room and it was no problem. Only scary part was when I thought I had DC'd. :P Will try it out on T4 once I upgrade my Rigs. Thanks for the fit!!!

This is a welcome video. I usually do t3s in a gila. Or t2s in a hawk. But last night I did 2 hawk abyss sites and out of 6 rooms, 5 were karybdis. 5! Worst luck i have ever experienced myself. Lost 2 hawks to the timer in a row. Thought I'd be done for a few days as I was rather irritated. But will try this on one of my gilas tonight, thanks.

Got your T3 Gila, did me well for a week or so. Upgraded the fit to T4 (decent skills, played way back got like 13 mil sp), died to Karibdis Tyrannos in the first filament. Back down to retribution. Decided to up it to T2s, lost 2 retributions in the first filaments as well. Hell of a goddamn day :D

Recently started using this fit and been working well. I also watched your priority kill video. Just the one question I have is what waves/rats do you switch to scourge ammo for? I might have missed that part if you mention it.

Why do you use inferno/scourge missiles, i thought with the explosion resist penalty it would be better using nova?

Thanks for the Video. After watching this i did my first T4 Gamma run with this fit. But man, when you say it is a chill run i had 2 minutes left and was sweating. Maybe i was to greedy to get the subnodes. First run was ~27 million isk. Well i guess T4 is the part where you can maybe make more isk than with level 4 missions but on the other hand the risk to lose the ship and your pod with imps is much higher. But what is recommended, using scourge or inferno missiles or do you switch between enemies, i mean the reload of the rlml is very high.

interesting passive gilas are making a comeback of sorts, now for something different any suggestions for doing t3 firestorms as an alpha? if possible at all to do in anything else than a gila. love the vids btw

I modified it a bit and went with a Type-D Restrained Shield Power Relay and a 10MN Y-S8 Compact Afterburner which allowed me to put in a Multispectrum Shield Hardener II for more diverse shield resists. With the implants I am still getting 152hp per second on the shield so it worked out well to get that extra cpu required for the multispec. So someone in my corp did some calculations and it might be that the 'medium core defense field purger II' rigs used for regening, it's probably better to use the defense field extenders he did some simulations in pyfa with 2 gilas, one with this fit, the other with the same fit except shield extender rigs instead of shield regen it turns out that the shield extender rig gila had more HP at all times *unless* the fight lasted for more than 24 minutes; the break-even point where the higher regen finally caught up to the higher shield tank was almost exactly 24m 12s. And since an abyssal filament cannot possibly last that long, the shield extenders are simply better that being said, he tested it with differing skills and the break-even point changed wildly i'd like to hear your thoughts on this? he wasn't testing specifically for gamma filaments, just fights in general, so maybe the extra shield capacity from the weather affect changes this calculation drastically? except... i can only think that doubling-down on synergizing with the weather effect, and stacking shield extenders, would have to be better... but maybe i'm not thinking about the way the numbers interact correctly right now I decided to split the difference and run 1 shield extender, 2 purgers, and it's working great. but idk if i can tell the difference honestly, in terms of overall tank.

Thanks for the fit! I did 25 runs with it. I have some relevant skills at level 5 and the rest at level 4. This is such a great fit for rookies like me who are starting to learn T4. Would this fit be able to do other T4 filaments reliable with a few mod changes?

Thanks for the video. I do have a question though. I do not understand where you get your dps from. You are doing 648 with just 2 drone damage amplifiers. Simulating the fit with everything at 5 it still falls short by a lot - 545 total with 106 in missiles and 439 in drones. Where is the rest coming from?

Can I just ask one question? This is really something that's bothering me Gamma has -50/-70% Explosive Resist profiles. Why use thermal damage missiles instead of Explosive???

Hey, used this fit (sitting below 11m SP) and completed a couple of t4 runs but 2 battlecruisers at once + a lot of junk (mostly bc) got me killed. Im new both to the game and abyssals so I dont have access to test server. What would you recommend to get to know abyssal npcs and the tactics for this build (the right approach, esp. When faced 2 bc)?

One of the questions I have for this fit is like, how do you know what drones to use for each room you go in? By their resistant types?

did you test extender rigs vs purgers?

Is there a reason for the thermal amp over something like a multispectrum? Obviously if you get nueted out the amp still works, but the multispectrum gives better ehp/s. Is there a lack of EM damage ships in the abyss? I would think the angel cartel wave would be brutal with the em hole on this, but I don't have much T4 experience.

what abyssal and whats in your rig slot, i have less resistance than you on this build only 12 em. so are you running electrical or something else (never mind, i learned how to read lol)

Hi, first of all i love your video`s. But maybe its wise to add skill levels needed also. With exact the same fit i dont even come close to your EHP. Maybe something got nerved again. Beside that its better to replace the Medium Core Defense Field Purger II with 1 or 2 Medium Core Defense Field Extender II and 1 Republic Fleet Large Shield Extender with a Multispectrum Shield Hardener II. Replace also the Caldari Navy Shield Power Relay with a Damage Control Unit II. You need to have a safety valve. That brings my EHP [ and maybe others] arround 55.700- 70.392 EHP, Thermal at 73% and Explosive at 72%.

are there any other weathers this fit is good in? maybe with a different resist amplifier? This says gamma...but what about others?

Does this fit still work for T4 Grandmas? and can i get away with having shield ops and management at lvl 4 instead of 5?

hi @Aceyface after #viridian is still good this video? cause before it was all good but now you got 2 battlecruisers (or 2 big ships) and the others. For example in the same room you got: 2 marshall and a bunch of thyrannos and it's almost impossible to stay alive :(

I get 558 total dps from this fit. Would this still work then? Can't use test server for this because my laptop is broken . :/

omg this Abyss always change the dmg rate of their ships ? i play 40 times with this fit in test server and i have no problem, i die in the second round when i play in real server, test server with the main server are not the same? the hit harder in main server, test server i was almost asleep when i do the same rounds their

T4s are great. I am farming firestorms but they are harder than the gammas, I WAS in t5s but I kept popping. I would love if you could provide a reliable t5 fit. I just can't get past about 20 runs on average before I di and it is just incredibly expensive to replace those losses regularly. Either way I appreciate the content!

My brother ran this in a T3 and got obliterated in the third room on the first run. The passive fits have no safety valve. If they get through your shields, you're dead.

Doesn`t really work. I have nearly all skills at 5 the lowest at lvl 4 and to get sure i also put two Booster in for my first run and get shot. Second room Kikkis wave, i focused on striking Kikkis first but what should i say. I got wrecked, not even close that i would say pilot mistake. I could depend on new patches etc, but for all new ones, dont use this T4 Guide, look for newer ones.

Boy o Boy.... so for all the noobs out there or if it is just me then its just me..... skills are in shields at 4... got the implants and so on... well for starteers when i met my boy Karybids i was just stupid enough to not know that his real name is Drifter Vanguard! ok ok 1 gila down.... next time i met him i tried to burn to him but apparently i forgot 1 webber 10ish seconds and got to MrKarybids few seconds to late boom 2nd gila..... Lost 500mil Gila on first run to 5x webbers and Tyrannos. It took many weeks to save for that as a new player, I practiced t3 as until I was familiar with the waves. I think it is a sign to quit and move onto another game, too many hours gone and don't have the foundation to earn isk back quickly.
