Deepwatchers use the phantasmata missile, it can fly for several minutes but can only travel about 150m/s. Because of this, they accumulate around your ship for as long as the deepwater is alive. If you slow down below 150m/s they will start to catch up to you and deal a fuck ton of damage, prob much higher than the drifter BS. They each deal about 1128 damage, but since they are cruise size missiles they won't apply very well to your ship. A bunch of them would prob kill you. Deepwatchers actually have a 0.03x modifier to missile velocity and a 100.0x modifier for flight time. Phantasmata missiles normally go at 4700m/s and last for 14 seconds. Their turrets are actually much better than the normal sleeper BS, at about 1 while the normal sleeper BS is around 0.02 if I remember correctly. Funny enough the sleeper cruiser has 100 tracking lol, which is why it tracks frigs so well.
Those battlecruisers (Tessera), they don't care for any tracking boost. They have 4k tracking speed, so it's just that, but have very short range, 2k - 6k falloff
I lost a 3bill Gila in a abyss 5 by being insanely unlucky, got 2 Scylla Tyrannos and Karybdis Tyrannos rooms in a row, took me some time to kill them, then in the last room I got a drone battleship and shit ton of drones, killed the room with 10 sec left and was 3k away from the gate when the time ended :(, the drone battleships run away so I could not sit on the gate sadly.
TheSezla damn that sucks!! Just curious, what sites were you running? The only time I’ve ever had issues with time was one time in a Gamma site with a Gila
Question. As a player that's starting to just get into running abyssal T4-T5's....what would you say the "safest" (no implants needed/piloting isnt practiced but watches your videos) combination of ship and filament type is for the higher tiers? Gila/Exotic?
I’d say the Exotic or Electrical Gila! I’m still working out ideas for non-implant running fits (I’m slow with testing). The Gila requires minimum effort/piloting, and both Electricals and Exotics tend to be the easier sites for all ships.
Torvald Uruz thanks for the answer! I’ve noticed you sometimes switch between double hardener or double booster for the gila. Any final verdict after trying both?
Yeah I lost my 3 bill Gila and 1.2 bill Implant set a few days ago in a 5. Not sure if I wanna even run them again. Blitzing burner mission pays roughly the same in my experience so far. 🤔
Damn that sucks to hear!! :( That’s the one downfall of the abyss, you lose it all if things go wrong for even a second. I’ve never tried burner missions before! Aren’t those pretty tough?
@@TorvaldUruz Burners can be a pain in the rear occasionally, but they are pretty consistent and fairly easy with the right fits. They are like a pvp match, pretty fun.
I'm going to be honest, I'm not 100% sure! I'd say you are safe without the crystals, but I would recommend using some of the slot 6-10s just for the added bonus of cap/shield.
my heavy drones seems to have a hard time hiting anything they have very slow orbiting speed so they keep lagging behind the target anyway to fix this?
@@TorvaldUruz perfect ;) was wondering why the fit in the desciption is different from the one you are using in this video... anyways can't wait for more videos from you cuz you're actually wanna make try T5's not just constantly spam T3's with my MTU .... T4's darks/gammas gave me lots of bad starving spawns so i got buttfucked more than once even with implants and made me more risk averse... anyways thanks for the reply
I'm using the same ishtar fit still and it's a bit more difficult but doable. I even fly without crystals. Just carry an emergency booster set in cargo (thureo+hardshell)
Variety! While the Gila is the go-to abyssal ship, really any HAC is good at Abyssals. In fact, HACs are actually better than the Gila in terms of damage and tank, the Gila is preferred because it’s easiest.
I always grab all the nodes by just flying to them, also nodes can have like 20m in them sometimes. My poor ishtar lived for over a year then only died to a gank. Watching the whole vid your finish times were really good though.
