See, like!! I didn't feel dumb doing that, because I figured there are the thoughts that you can "decide" to send someone, and the thoughts that are buried deeper. Because for example we can all think to ourselves, "I didn't do the thing!" as a voiceover in our head. But, maybe we did really do the thing, and someone detecting our thoughts deeper than the surface of what we are telepathically sharing, could figure that out. Or maybe that is 8 INT "overthinking" from me 😅

I will intentionally reload and swap characters around to make sure I get him involved. I don't care if I have to remove everyone, his is the only voice I want to hear in that moment.
The eye is SUPER useful for a lot of fights in the game. There are several enemies that like turning invisible to make stuff hard for you. You can combat that with the eye as it has the effect of "see invisibility". @@Annkhes
Even more hilarious -- if he's the one that speaks up when you try to open the door, he begs you to let him open it instead because "they sound filthy". Love that freaky lil' vampire man
17:30 when you play as durge there’s a fourth option, just “Hot.” and it makes me laugh every time-especially because Astarion responds with “you couldn’t wait *ten seconds* before being an absolute *freak*?”
I did that too in one of my playthroughs, Ma'hal of creche Jii'sun. His becoming a bard was more of "githyanki are already proven fighters, but what about in the arts?" rather than counter culture. He even had a signature move called the planeswalk (think a moonwalk with the added flair of a mage hand spinning his lute in midair).
i swear the only time enemies ever say lines mid-combat is right when they fall prone or make the most embarrassingly bad attack ever and it's the funniest thing

i like that Astarion uses a silver mirror, great detail by the devs. you see; Vampires SHOULD be able to see their reflection in GLASS mirrors. before glass was a thing people used shiny silver to see their reflection, and silver is considered a holy material (its shiny and bright and is "clear" or "pure") hence vampires not being able to properly use them. Makes me wonder if he ever tried a glass mirror though.
Or just very polished steel, that should work as well. Even if it's to do with reflections in general, they should also show up on modern cameras, as we don't use mirrors for those anymore.
@@risurisunaa "Silver mirrors" are also glass. Glass in itself isn't as reflective, it needs a thin layer of metal. That thin layer used to be mostly silver, nowdays it's mostly aluminium. Really polished metal is functional too, but thin layer of metal + glass is better. And the camera thing isn't abouth mirrors, it's abouth the paper, it used use a silver based photichemical reaction.
Asterion is so damn right when he says we're all a bunch of weirdos. S. Heart and Jahira are the only 2 that can pass as normal. He's a vampire. You have a Gith and potentially a Drow above land in your party. Karlach is on fire and Wyll obviously made a deal with a devil. And Halsen is a fucking giant elf, like I'm not sure that humans and elves can get bigger and more swole than him
8:50 you know... the AI of the companion characters is really good, and AI in general is... but then i look at stuff like this and i can only see my dumb bimbo girl lydia from skyrim 😭 theyre so fricken stupid i love them all so much.
Honestly it’s because of the radius of the that statues aoe u have to hug the wall to very tightly for it to not go off imo the statue is stupid not the companions reduce the tall aoe of the tower and the ai will have zero issues
I like 15:19 because the fact that Halsin showed up means that the others had a reaction to you seducing the mind flayer and decided to confront you or something and he just came a long to see what was going on since he doesn’t have a worm in his head. (Edit was for grammar)

I think my funniest moment so far is that Astarion got pushed into the lava immediately during the Nere fight. One of the allies kept resurrecting him every turn, only for him to obviously die again on his turn. Probably died and resurrected 6 times, all ending in me winning the fight and paying Withers afterward. I can only imagine his sass if he was aware of the situation.
First one is so much better if you do two things; bring Astarion alone (he will beg you to give him the honors, then the option pops up to let him open the door instead) and be a Barbarian (you will get an option to shame the Bugbear for his awful rutting, complete with point and laughing, the pair are so embarrassed they won't even fight you). You can also be a Bard and play up the Bugbear's prowess, causing his ego to swell, only to be savaged by the ogre saying he was too small.
This is the second time I had tears streaming down because of this game. Even TW3 and Skyrim have never had me laughing so hard. Gale and Astarion are the funniest characters I have seen yet. I just love the banter between Astarion, Gale and Shadowheart. 12:10 And umm, *what* on earth did you do to make Astarion think that your group is full of weirdos? 🤣🤣🤣
You playing this on console is so perfect, just your camera turns to look at something (like 8:36) is so fucking relatably expressive and comedic. I can hear the thoughts going through your head every time you turn the camera or wiggle between a dialogue option. Thanks for the high concentration of good laughs
