Moonrider is an open source project which was created to show webVR capabilities. Fun Fact - In early days, Beat saber map makers used moonrider to test maps since it was faster and way easier. maybe they still do now.
I’ve tried Moon Rider, i’d say its the Best Beat Saber Rip Off. Only thing about it, is how the Hitboxes are, you can hit it, but sometimes It wouldnt register. I give it a 9/10
How to make the perfect game settings menu: * lots of weird graphic buttons which makes no noticeable difference except noisy pc fans * the volume slider which have to be at 0.1% to avoid becoming deaf * finally, it's not a settings menu without that fps counter option
0:05 hey as a mod for this game i would just like to say that it is not meant to be a knock off it is meant to be a beat saber experience for those who cannot afford VR
Moon rider is actually a reworked version of the beatsaver preview mode. It's made by the beatsaver team. That's why all of the songs are from beat saber
Moonrider I would call a poor man's beatsaber or more specifically a clone. Rip offs are more like really bad copies with minimal effort. Like a lot of mobile games There is nothing wrong with playing moonrider if you can't get beatsaber of course it's still a fairly well made clone
If you have Moon Rider, you should try “I Can’t Fix You” with the punching mode. It’s probably harder than Ghost on Beat Saber. That might sound crazy, but it’s true.
My local arcade has a game like moon rider, it's called groove gaurdians or something along the lines of that. Mulriplauer punch mode that occasionally turns your fists into shields
I’m not joking so when I rly wanted a vr I wanted to play this game to death Dead ass I would watch your costume song videos and use batteries as the sabers and do what I would do on the screen but I have one now and I am loving it
You should have looked at the developers note in the first one Actually idk if it was there but it was there when I started playing But it says only two people worked on moon rider so that’s even more impressive
Moon Rider will run on every headset, even business headsets, chinese headsets you name it, so I gotta give them some credit for making it work in WebXR
Holy crap man! I haven't watched one of your videos in quite some time, I didn't know you hit 1 mil! I remember finding you from a comment back when you had, like, 10 videos with no mic and just gameplay at like, 10k or so iirc, congrats on getting to 1 mil!
This has a lot to do with the fact that there's a very popular video where someone made a beat saber clown using AI. So it's now a very fun, AI tutorial.Where anybody that does it gets their own beat saber clone It's literally the AI writes all the code. The human just does the actions required
You have to avoid fireballs, because fire is not a blockable thing, aS THEY SAY, "it'd go right through your shield" but other than that ice is an actual real life object so you can force it away
Honestly I think a lot of the reason you see so many knockoffs is that its a simple enough concept for one person to do, and its a really good first step into making VR games. No movement to consider, hardly even gotta mess with control inputs, don't need to worry about physics for throwing or arrows or anything else, just beats and sabers... So my money is on a lot of the free ones being little more than school projects / learning projects released because feedback is the crack of creatives... The NOT free ones? idiots trying to cash in on other idiots, I'm talkin abut the free ones.
Moonrider is my favourite out of all of these ripoffs. Don't have to download anything, lots of pretty themes and i get to play custom songs without without getting in trouble with my parents lel (not allowed to download stuff onto the headset without permission) the only downside is that you have to punch everything and your arms eventually feel super exhausted after 2 or 3 maps.
I actually like Moon Rider more because of its punch mode, the game makes you wave your hands even harder. In Beat Saber, it's more about your wrists. When you find more difficult tracks in Moon Rider, the marks will appear everywhere, and your game knuckes are too short to reach them, so you'll have to move your hands, twist them, jab, hook, uppercut, etc. I think the games can't be compared on this level.
Beat saber knock offs: aight so you have 3 choices 1. Music swords 2. Ninja Music Sword blue red 3. Man running around with 2 swords hitting blocks that are color coded so you don’t die Beat saber knock offs: so what’s it gonna be?
in moon rider there are 3 modes one of them is punching and just relax mode much like Zen mode in beat saber and then there is saber mode witch is just like beat saber
A lot of ppl will make clones and such to get noticed by the original devs or other studios looking for their first industry job. Not every clone is meant to be played. Some are portfolios. (also this works)
Hey tempex would you be able to do a replay through jsab? But with talking involved this time :D I find your voice really calming and very entertaining 😅
Game 1. The best beat saber clone Game 2. A cool Beat Saber fan project in VRC "Game 3", if Muse dash and beat saber clones had a baby "hypotheticalally
I don't know if you have already checked this out, but there is actually a mobile game (at least on iphone) wich is called beat swiper and it's basically beat saber for phones
you sound like stich I like it and I've played moon rider and best of all my computer is pretty beefy so it could handle it pretty weel and it was kind of buggy, but it was fun.
