Samsung added a lot of value to its top-flight foldable with its Galaxy AI software features, but why is Samsung's Galaxy Z Fold5 still $1800 on its official store? Here is Android Police's long term Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 review.
@GhastlyHunger remote into a more powerful windows PC, cloud or local for heavier task. Then you can bounce back and forth between that work and your full phone experience, resizing apps that aren't optimized. Mobile apps are so good now you can accomplish most of what you want on device without ever hooking it into a bigger monitor.
That true. Fold 5 is quite handy device. However, like he said samsung is still a little far backward in term of price we paid. I guess need to wait for Fold 7 or Fold 8 since fold 6 has not much changes according to the rumors....
@@timothykuek86 It's definitely with the price. I'm not sure how long people are going whine about the prices of flagship phones. It's really old now.
I go back and forth between S23/24 ultra and a fold 5. As much as I dislike the outer screen size and The crappy cameras its hard to stay off the fold for very long.
I got the Fold 5 around its initial launch date, and came from a Pixel 6. If you have a slab phone and have been considering changing things up, I could not recommend this device enough. Yes the phone is expensive, but Samsung off and has crazy promos, I got double the normal trade-in value for my Pixel 6. And this has been my favorite new tech in well over a decade. I still get excited opening this thing up. The screens are gorgeous, the cameras are surprisingly good (despite the hate online), and battery life has been great. tl;dr - if you're on the fence, definitely go for it. The OnePlus Open is nice, but it's already having QC issues according to online reviews, and NEVER buy a first gen device from any OEM.
No need to pay the full price. Samsung often offers great trade-in values. Unfortunately, OnePlus does not offer that, although it may be a better phone now.
Agreed on the crazy good trade ins from Samsung. Been getting their phones since the S8+ for 300 each thanks to that. Though oneplus is offering their open for about 870 after trading in my note 20 ultra. Still too expensive for what I'm used to. Hopefully the fold6 comes with a front screen sized like a traditional phone
I’d make plans to get the z fold 5 at a reasonable price. For someone coming from a note20 ultra Thanos color 5g, I feel that the camera on it is good enough for me since I’m not a pro photographer.
Great honest review. Only fault is your recommendation for the fold 6. From the other reviews it won't be much of an update. But everything else was spot on.
got some bad bots making some filth round here .... But man, wanting a big screen for games and reading, dex, and a simi normal close size; it's hard to beat. Alittle steep in price but I hope one day we can get a root-able device just like this in the future.
I love my Fold 5. The Fold series for me from the 4 on has been an excellent change over iPhone for me. I'm also enjoying Android more as well. And I'm not sorry, Apple.
How will it hold out against Vivio X Fold 3 Pro ❓️ 📲 SLIM/ Lightest/ Bigger Display/100w charging, 50w Wireless/ Brightness 4500 nits/ 5700mAh 🔋 etc What all we will loose or miss for people switching from Samsung to Vivo Fold *Wish Samsung Launch the Tri-Fold which opens up in Tab A9 size*
More than worth it, watched this video and got one 3 days ago. $1600 down from $2800AUD because of the 6 comming out. Sold my s24 ultra yesterday for a quick $1000 sale. Only ended up paying $600 for it. 100x better than my s24, i was so bored by the fact it looked and behaved EXACTLY like my older s22 ultra. I will never go back to standard phones again lol.
I want the oneplus open front screen on a samsung fold device. The narrower view sucks otherwise I would have gone to a foldable. Seriously debating getting the 1+ open. I just havent paid more than 300 for a phone in the past 10 years thanks to trade ins
