How's that 0.4 seconds difference? In what sort of gravity well did this sprint happen? If you play at x0.25 they literally step in the finish line in less than a frame of each other. Totally BS times.
@@Kemaaaaa even with the trailing leg, a 4/10th difference is huge. A pro race that’s 4-5 meters. Granted they are doing nowhere near that speed, but you get the difference.
Tia has consistent stamina, skill, and strength that makes a champion. Even though the other women athletes have their strengths Tia is an all-rounder. In athletics, we call that the all-rounder it's rear, and it's wonderful.
I'm in Florida and it says event 12 starts at 9:45 eastern time so 6:45 on the west coast if the west coast is still 3 hours behind the east coast. Been a while since I've been to school lol
@@joyceb1671 your right because I missed it all but the award ceremony lol. I still don't know what happened to Haley adams . i thought for sure she wouldn't finish no lower than 3rd.
The sleds started at a tape line on the 2 yard line on one end and had to cross the tape line 2 yards into the end zone. The yellow lines are not in play.
If measuring by torso I think Kwant would have won. But Fraser's chip was ahead of his body and Kwants was behind his. Kwants leg had to cycle through. I think that could be 0.3-4 On second look: at most 0.15 you're right
Agreed. Somebody pulled that number straight outta their ass... Anybody remotely familiar with sprinting knows 4 tenths would be a gap of several meters - even at their reduced speeds
Every box owner decides their own costs. Where I live it can vary from around $100 all the way to $200/month. I am sure there are cities where it’s less and others where it is more.
Yes Kwant's torso was ahead (assuming the finish line was the front edge of the red mat)--would have won according to USATF rules and equipment, but I think CrossFit just used a chip timer on one ankle.
How was Brooke the only one of the women to study Neal Maddox’s sled push method that absolutely wrecked the entire rest of the field?? There was no way anyone using the usual method could come close to him. It’s certainly a tactical risk, but we can see how well it paid off for Brooke, who crucially needed those points!!
Anya Deering she actually asked Samuel Kwant and his coach right before the event to share Kwant’s technique with her, and she used it in that event for the first time.
this event was ridiculous for veteran crossfit games athletes. at least they could put a little twist like 3 or 4 or 5 rounds and a heavy deadlift in between. 30 mins of video to see 2 mins of wod
Mat is fucking relentless. inspirational. 'i have put in so much work, it would be a waste to not see what im capable of' greatest quote i have ever heard.
5:22 thru 5:44 Katrin runs like a GIRL ha ha, , oh wait, she is,,,,,, Brooke runs like a super STRONG girl, oh wait she IS, ,,,, Tia runs like an Olympian, AND YES SHE IS
What stands out to me is the sprint/sled between Fraser and Kwant, obviously. But what I don't know, is what exactly is the finish line? It looked like to me that Kwant stepped OVER the red line, onto the GREEN first. But if they score it by whomever touches the RED line with their foot, first, then Kwantz blew it. I think he has Fraser if he would have planted his forward foot sooner. It still amazes me that a person with Fraser's body type that he could win a sprint against those others... it just shows how good he really is.
Is it mean to want to see other people win? I like Fraser and Toomey but I wanna see some new people take it. I thought this was an odd line up, guess just thought some bigger names would have been in it.
The 5 who had the highest score in the first online portion were the 5 that made it here. That was of course a much bigger field. But they all had the same opportunity to make it to this point 🤷♀️
The sleds started at a tape line on the 2 yard line on one end and had to cross the tape line 2 yards into the end zone. The yellow lines are not in play.
This would have been a great event if it was 4-5 rounds. These athletes are competing for “fittest in the world”.. a glorified 200 yard sprint for an entire event is a joke.
@@streetDAOC if you are programming event by event, sure. If it was the ONLY event, sure. If you program for an entire weekend with a test for the most well rounded athlete, sprints 100% have a place among the barbells, rucks, 10k trail runs, swims, and the other various movements
Tia and Matt cheating again... they talk, she share info to Matt on how to play the field. and the other guys are out of the loop. I don’t care is they are training partners. Save should had step in to avoid passing info. Cheater.
The other guys, and their coaches are watching the same event happen before they go. They have the same opportunity to strategize after watching the first group go through the event.... also, in a Sprint event like this what nuance can Tia really offer to help Mat?
Nah... it’s like sharing inside information... looking from the outside means nothing. On the field doing the workout and then come back to tell the guy what needed to be done.. that’s cheating...
