A band I discovered way later... I'm not... the biggest fan of melodic death metal... and that's because, I started with In Flames (as probably the most of those of my age) and I loved it until they started venturing too much outside this genre boundaries, at least in my opinion. And there were a plethora of other copy-cats bouncing and rising like mushrooms after the rain... It wasn't really my cup of tea. Not to mention the core flavors which made me completely ignore the genre for some years. But, at some point I started digging for bands that were more like the old In Flames, and, to my surprise, I found a bunch of them. Nothing to write home about, but they were... quite good actually. Ablaze my Sorrow is one of them, and sifting through their catalogue I found this song, which seemed fairly easy to do. So, here it easy. Regarding the production, I'm having some real issues with the phases on the guitars lately. Still looking for plugins to help me with this. When I started this quest, I had the signals for Rhythm and Solo guitars split in 2, and had a delay on one of each channel. It helped but not that much. Then, I found out that in the mixer you can add latency and change the polarity to any channel which was even better, but still, on picked tremolos I can still hear it. Then, at some point I tried Fab Filter Q3, with it's flipping phase option, same shit. This is starting to drive me crazy to be honest. Also when I was trying... I think Plini from Neural, having 2 channels for each guitar, having an instance on each channel, which has a cab with to mikes, I tried to flip the phase on one of the cabs, and even use different IR's on all 4 mikes, and I still got that phase issue... At this point I think I have to change the the guitars, and maybe go to some Shreddage maybe... 'cause I know they got the 3 one out for some time now. I lately started to create audio clips for each channel that I want to render and adjust the position in piano roll, BUT I'M STILL GETTING IT! I don't understand how this was not such a big problem 'til now. I'm not gonna write a novel about it, here. I'll see what I can achieve 'til the next upload. No real instruments used, only VSTs. L.E.: This is probably the cover that I worked to, the least... Around 2 days. And I also processed the sound less than I usually do.
