Following a harrowing climb to Camp Two, the climbers go completely lower to Base Camp for any couple of times of rest. Expedition leader Russell Brice meets each climber to have an assessment of the performance - and also to learn if they'll be permitted to test for that summit. Meanwhile, British climber David Tait and Phurba Tashi are about to leave for his or her record setting attempt for the very first double traverse of Everest.

I‘m sorry for Betsy, but Russell is right.

I still don't understand why Russell would allow Tim back onto his expedition team again. He nearly died last year, and probably would of killed the Sherpas who were with him.

It’s there so it won’t get detected for copyright infringement. Same reason the voice of the narrator is high pitched

This is the funniest show... They would do better if they just did a series about the commercialization of Everest. Nobody in their right mind is going to pay a man $50,000 and give him the ability to tell them they can't attempt to summit.

Both my father and godfather were mountaineers, there's far more harsh reality to climbing than is shown in this docu-series made for amateurs to watch. I'd certainly let Brice tell me whether or not I was fit to attempt to summit, he's 100% got the practical experience, and all the theory and science behind him to factor in and make that decision. But sure, if you want to take the typical arrogant attitude, and think 50k somehow magically gives you both the ability and the right to, no matter what your climbing team and head advisor says, by all means, go ahead with your potential suicide mission of your own, and also risk the lives of friends and those climbing with you, just don't come crying back (if you manage to somehow come back at all) crying, and pointing finger, and trying to sue the individual who argued against your attempt to summit, and questioned your abilities, thus risking yours and others lives. Everest for many people as much a mental challenge as it is physical, and due to there pretty being no tests to see how even the fittest person will fare at altitude, you're not going to know until you get there, and if it's truly something you want to do, and feel you're physically able to do, then that can be priceless. But then again, so if your life, so you need to not be a lone person packing a sad because you paid all this money, and don't get a go, because your body doesn't have a natural ability to acclimatize.

You don't pay him to summit, you pay him to get you to the mountain and monitor your attempt.

Yeah...no. Tell that to the sherpas who risk their lives to save people who don't respect their own limits every year.

Russell and his guides have all been to the summit multiple times, and have seen people succeed and die. No one can just show up and climb it on their own.
