@@wristopia4101 ordered both the rubber b and Everest. Rubber b color is really nice but the 6 o’clock side is too short for my wrist. Apparently they sell that piece 11mm longer as a standalone order. Still waiting on the Everest. I think it’ll fit better but it’s not compatible with my clasp so I have to use a tang buckle.
Hi, I know of them but try to stick to OEM if possible, and I do not like the fake rivets anyway. I was looking into wether the historic non riveted Tudor bracelet fitted the BB, but did not see it through.
I used this tip on someone else's video, but it was more like 2 min saved lol. Glad you made it to the good stuff. In my defence its a complicated thing and I know I have helped some people. I could be wrong, but its possibly the only video on RU-vid where someone is giving real world experience of all three.
Thank you so much for this super helpful video! I wanted to use the Tudor deployment clasp (so skipped Everest) and bought the Rubber B. I love it, but it's too tight or too loose. I added the Vanguard into my cart, hoping it would give a better fit than my Rubber B, and was about to checkout, but just watched this video. I'm just going to deal with a looser Rubber B strap, because I don't want to deal with bent springbars. I just found a comment in a WUS forum about an AD that wouldn't install the Vanguard on their Black Bay because they said the tension on the springbars will cause the watch to fail at some point.
Hi, Thank you for taking the time to give feedback. So glad that the video was helpful. Im guessing the AD was trying to use 'unbent' Tudor springbars. If you push on the strap hard enough I guess they might locate in the holes, but the forces would be huge and agree it would just fail. Such a bad design! If you do not know they are meant to be bent then its a nightmare! Sorry to hear the Rubber B fit is not great. The pin buckle holes are the furthest apart of the three which doesn't help. I guess I got lucky. It pains me to suggest it, but you could probably drill another small hole between the two that are an issue. I do not think it will affect the integrity of the strap.
I definitely agree. Also, I was just thinking about manually slow-drilling an “in-betweener” hole. I think you’re correct this rubber seems so strong, it shouldn’t affect the integrity.
@@rickyposner6589 A hole punch like they use on leather belts would be best. Pretty sure there is a smaller version for leather watch straps. For rubber a high speed bit would work well. I am not sure drilling slowly will help, but practice on a different piece of rubber first to get technic and hole size right ;)
Took your advice and just received my Amazon package with a nylon mallet and a hole punch set that started at 1mm and jumped 0.5mm through the set. 1.5mm looked the closest to the rubber B holes and it worked perfectly. Honestly I think the first whack made a perfect hole, but I did a second one without looking, but still made a clean and perfect cut. I nearly went through the thick plastic sheet I had underneath! The hole looks about 0.1mm smaller than others, but works perfectly securing the hold with the clasp. Now it’s perfectly loose, but feels so nice not to have the watch so sloppy and crooked. Thanks for the advice and suggestions!
Thanks for watching. Great that people like different things. The Rubber B seems to be designed specifically for use with a deployant clasp, but for sure I would prefer the short to be longer and the long to be shorter. Hope the video was helpful.
I have the vanguard strap and originally intended to use it with the Tudor deployant, the problem with a regular length buckle side of the strap is that it places the deployant clasp at an awkward position on your wrist, at least on my 6.3 inch wrist, the deployant ends up resting on the outside edge of your arm/wrist if that makes sense and is quite uncomfortable. when I compared the vanguard strap to the original Tudor leather strap with the deployant, I noticed that the buckle side of the Tudor strap was significantly shorter than the vanguard strap and finally understood why but I'm glad to come across this video because I could see right away that rubber b designed their strap specifically to work with the deployant and addresses the issue that I encountered alas, rubber b does not make a strap for the Tudor black bay 36 🙁
Cheers dude. Just doing my best ;) Certainly room for improvement. I seem to have helped at least one guy, and am not aware of another video comparing all three of the main suspects from an owners perspective.
