What happened this time with the two French versions?
The songs were recorded by the European cast and were then used in the Canadian version too (the audio I used for this video comes from the Canadian version, indeed), while for the spoken lines, the two versions appear to be independent.

I LOVE French and I speak it fluently. Lemme tell you: this version ain't actually all that good, at least for someone who's fluent in the language... I was hoping for so much more, since the story's set in France and whatnot... :(

Being from a part of the US with a very nasal tone (inland North dialect, previously known as standard american), French just flows so easily when sung. Once I get past learning the lyrics, it is the perfect language for my dialect.

The translation is perfect. The translator did an great job. It goes perfectly with the movie and the lip-sync. I totally agree with Roxane. Did someone know who sing this French version?

+xavier robert I honestly have to disagree. The lyrics are really different in most parts - but that's the beauty of translations. As long as the meaning of the song stays the same, the lyrics can be different imo.

Ah, man ele não deveria ter feito como o original, teria ficado muito mais lindo se ele tivesse seguido o estilo próprio. Esse personagem iria ficar muito mais lindo com o toque francês do dublador
