I notice more realism and 3d imaging from the master editon. This is just from listening from my TV, not headphones. I can only imagine the big difference actually being there in person. The truth is always in listening. Excellent comparison. Well done

They both sound amazing! But the master edition opens the soundstage a lot, great products!!

Agree the A6 ME is just absolutely amazing , easy set up n use and sounds great

the soundstage difference is huge! The ME sounds overall better, more sub-bass, but diffuses the vocals. The normal A6 is more analytical, crisp and centered with voice, which it should (Closer to reality). For me the ME sounds like vinyl and the normal A6 like a CD.

I love your gear shootouts. Your RU-vid recordings show how good the internet audio can be . Those Schoeps mics sound awesome ! Both streamers sound good ...the master edition excels here. I use the Anthem avm 90 as my preamp /dac . Believe it or not ..I use my Apple tv with Apple music over hdmi as my music source. It sounds very good. At just over $ 200.00 ...it is a great value . We have cleaner and clearer highs using the DMP=A6 Master Edition But the trade off is extremely piercing highs where the warmth stops and agrivating piercing treble is allowed to extend. it's like listening to a Sennheiser 800 on solid state. Any streamer or amp mod that accentuates the the high treble without countering in some method with some sort of warmth in those highs is now hobbling a great speaker, it needs warmth and meat with the clearity, to excell. How about auditioning the Musician Taurus Dac, with a comparison against the Weiss 204, and the Lampazator, the Musician is an outstanding Dac that I think will blow away the Weiss but it has increadible deep tight fast bass, and the Midrange is absolutely stunning with rich tonality, vocals will blow your mind, and detail in the treble has hints of warmth that make AMT's or Ribbons enter another relm of sonic bliss. It's a $3800 Dac that destroys $$8, to $10K Dac's. It's on par with the Chord Dave and Rockna Wave Dream Signature in, the soundstage, depth of stage, massive, layering incredible, sonics amazing, pianos you can fell the keys and wood inside the key giving off it's tone, the strings on guitar you feel the tonality of the octave of each pluck... you have to find audition the Dac, It will probably be a massive upgrade to the weiss 204 which I love the weiss it takes music into a new relm. But the Musician Taurus is like how the weiss was with the dennafrips Ares 12th . The weiss destroyed the dennafrips Ares 12th, which wasn't truly even fair, you should have atleast had the Pontus doing battle against the Weiss.My favorite Dac is the Playback Desighns MPD-8, to me the end all of Dac's but for those of us who live in the real world where we cannot spend $23K on a dac, That is where the Musician Taurus Sonically Destroys any Dac 2 or 3 times it's price, truly a gem in hidding. You must try it in a dac comparison you will not regret it and once you do it will then be your reference Dac, what it will do for the Qualio IQ's will floor you, the sound stage massive, Bass so damn tight and meaty with authority, mid range is where it starts to excell, layering, vocals OMG.... female vocals, male vocals your in a new league... warmth, rich tonality, then the amazing treble shriek or fatigue simply does not exist, sonic bliss. You have obviouslly listened to good gear, this will take the Qualio IQ's to a level you have yet to experience. You will not regret it, Try the Musican Tauraus with some of your warm previous amps, you pick any music, it wont matter every single song will be better than anything you have previously listened to. Try it and make videos of it and stun the world of hifi followers on your channel. If this does what I think it will do for the sale of the IQ's you should think seriously about comping me a pair.... Ha Ha ha....

ME sounds much clearer on my headphones and there is more space around the notes. (Roon Rock -> Macbook Pro - Antelope Audio Audio Interface -> Beyrdynamic DT770 Pro). Thinking of getting the ME to upgrade my Node2i which is my main endpoint in living room for Rega Elex MK4/Focal Chora 826. And then eventually upgrade the ME power supply, with PD Creative, like I did on Node2i, it was a massive improvement. Thanks for recording this.

For all who are faithful followers of this channel like myself, my next purchase is without a doubt the Qyalio IQ speakers I love them they will live in my house forever, but the warmth and feel of the strings, and wood instraments, was absolutely supperior sounding in all other videos except this one, what changed, the amp modification was a serious upgrade change, I'm not overlooking the Eversolo, they simply strem the audio source to the amp.... switch back your amps to the previous before the mod and use the everlolo and redue the video same songs and I bet we well all hear the rich tonal octaves that are now gone...

How would either of these match with very transparent speakers Like PMC Twenty5 26, which in my system are very much transparent and I’m afraid of maybe ME will be too much of a good thing maybe ? May I ask, why didn’t you use your Lampi B4 DAC, does the WEISS DAC 204 sound better ? Thanks from México !!

I was listening couple times, A6 souds more natural Than ME, I will go for Standart A6

Hi. The A6 sounds flatter than the Master Édition which also has more bass and impact on the bottom range.

I hear this in xps 17 , this is night and day difference, Master Edition worth the extra money if you have the corresponding set up .Nice job.

There shouldn't be much difference if you're just using it to connect to an external DAC, but even through my phone I could hear a spatial difference when you switched... so I'm sure it will be even more pronounced through headphones. Too bad you didn't get to add the A8 to the equation and see how that compared... with a completely different (AKM) DAC.

If I'm using the a6 standard as a streamer only, and use an external clock with my DAC, would it make any sense to upgrade to the ME?

I perceive a little more space and round bass on ME. But the difference is marginal from my seat . Maybe around 5% as sound difference . Is is not a night and day situation . Need to pay attention . Without the 2 in parallel the difference is not noticeable .

So if i understand it right, if i use the eversolo only as a streamer(digital) the ME sounds better than the standard? Which digital out you recomment?

A agree that this is nice & comfortable way of playing music. Problem is when hardware is not supported by software any more? Than this equipment is obsolete = garbage.

So would you say the master edition sounds better through usb? Because I compared the a6 normal with the a8. And connected to the tt2+mscaler, the A8 sounded way better. I was hoping the A6 master sounds similar to the A8. Because the A8 is more expensive, and the analogue and preamp not needed. The normal a6 sounded very thin through usb I wish I could have compared the master and a8

What do you think of the Weis dac compared to the lampizator ?

I Have the standard DMP 6. It sounds great to me. The only thing i would have a complaint about is the screen contrast is bad. Its grey rather than black. In a low lit room the screen background is not very dark.

Many thanks for posting, I have just received my Weiss DAC 204 and connected it to Eversolo DMP-A6 master edition's 'USB DAC' output via a Chord shawline USB cable though for some reason the Eversolo is displaying 'USB audio device not detected' . I have ensured Eversolo unit is running latest software/firmware and that the USB DAC output on the Eversolo is working correctly as I have successfully connected it to a Chord Electronics Hugo 2 dac. Just wondering if you or anyone else has experianced a similar issue with the Weiss DAC 204? Thanks in advance.

Few things 1. Use LAN connection not wifi 2. Use USB out only 3. Connect to DDC - DAC

I'm confused, are you using the internal DACs?

$1300 USD for the Master edition. Or.. would standard edition ($850) plus an addition DAC around the $500 range be better compared to the standalone Master edition? I’m thinking Geshelli J2.

If your willing to burn the extra cash on the master, just jump to the A8 and don't look back.

What happened to the warmth there use to be, your new amp seems to have elevated to a serious degee treble, at this point is way to overwelming, loved the tonal richness your previous videos all had it was at a level wich was seriously unmatched. Just commenting some times high end changes to the amp boost treble and strip acuoustical tonality, and I'm sorry to say this has now happened to your system, I truly love your videos, and please do not be offended.

so if my speakers are omnidirectional, will it produce even larger soundstage? tricky!

First track - compared to the original, the piano sounds boosted in higher range - not very pleasant sound, wonder if it's because of some clipping or room resonating.

Have both of the units had the same amount of break-in.

Master edition: we put 100 uF caps vs 47 uF Nichicon Muse caps? sounds like that

It cannot be trusted if the video and equipment position changes as the microphone could also be in a different position. The video should show the microphone with no video movement at all. If you A/B under these conditions then the differences can be trusted by the viewer.

m.e for me. soundstage seems wider and more depth.

It amazes me as to how you all use a useless "Class D" amp for reference testing...What an absolutely horrible choice in amplifiers. Class AB and or a Class A would be an ideal choice
