I am recording videos with the highest quality sound of audiophile gear. My reviews are all about listening to the change and very little talking. You can read about how many inputs or colors are in any particular amp everywhere, but not everybody has a chance to listen and compare plenty of audiophile stuff.
I am one of the owners and designers in both Qualio - www.qualioaudio.com, where we do the best multiway loudspeakers and Cube Audio - www.cubeaudio.eu, where we do top-in-the-world full-range drivers and loudspeakers based on those drivers.
For the recordings, I use pro mobile gear - SoundDevices MixPre 3 and a stereo set of Shoeps CMC6MK4
I have plenty of unique experiences, and I'm here to share them with you. :)
DAC A superior. Tonally, both similar. Where DAC A (T&A) really outshone the Harmony was in the way it organized the musical presentation. DAC A was more organized with yhe center image surrounded by space/ air. The Harmony presented what I perceived to be more of homogenized 'wall of sound' , with the left right sides of soundstage bleeding into the center. Yes, DAC B, the Harmony, sounded tonally similar but in my opinion the T&A was significantly superior. The presentation sounded more believable to me.
ZA3 in XLR is good ZA3 in RCA is much better with better body and textures in the mids V3 just gets a worse with a sour timbre. The ZA3 in RCA is easily the best
I have a question. I want to buy these mono's for my desktop setup. And replace the op amps to Muses02. My system is fully balanced and I would like to use the XLR inputs of the monos. Do I need to change the XLR op amp on the circuit board as well for optimum sound quality ? Needing six op amps in total. Or can I leave the standard one from Fosi ? What would be the best for optimum sound quality ? Does changing the XLR op amp impact the sound quality ? Thank you. I love your videos. You are the reason I decided to get these monos.
I found the answer. I went to Fosi's website they have chat bot where you can ask commonly asked questions. When you ask how many op amps you need here is the answer they give: " The V3 Mono's mainboard houses a total of three op-amps. One is located near the RCA input and is used to convert the RCA signal into a balanced signal. The other two are situated close to the amplifier chip, you can replace just one of the two, if you were to replace both op-amps, the adjustment would be even more pronounced. " So I guess I just need the two (4 in total) since I will not be using the RCA input.
Love this, fantastic selection of artists and music. I really enjoy these types of vlogs as it introduces me to music that I otherwise would never have heard of, and your taste is right up my street. Great stuff.😁
Hi there, thanks for your video and tutorial. Great stuff. I have a question please: If I want to use XLR AND I also have 2 subs that I want to connect (1 to each ZA3), do I also need to change the Op amps for the sub channel? Or can i keep the standard op amp that comes with the ZA3 for the subs? Also, by removing the stock op amps from the left channel (as per your advice), will this affect the circuitry and paths on the board from allowing the subs to work? Thank you
It would be great to hear demos of different qualio speakers side by side. :) Do you know if there is a store where i can demo them in Gdańsk, Sopot or Gdynia?
For anyone lucky enough to experience ultra high end gear at their local store demo room you will recognise what high end equipments bring to the table. Clear front to back instrument separation and ultra high clarity. Pitch black background to reveal those tiny tiny detail like a faint instrument playing at the bottom left corner of the room. Vocals seem to come out of thin air with 3D presence. The T+A delivers in this regard and to me it is truly next level. Paired with Focal Sopra 2, Parasound A21+ and matching REL subwoofer for anyone interested.
for a sound demo I would play a little more demanding music, this is just far far far toooo sweet and saucy and shows nothing what your system can do, it's like driving 15km/h with a Ferrari.
this is an amazing speaker, thank you this demonstration. honestly i prefer the first setup over the second. my question is, do you consider this speaker a good choice for tube amplifiers ?
I just saw your video very well done; which MacBook did you have? I am presently using a MacBook . what about the DMP8 eversolo as a Preamp? Thank you.

Wow everyone is choosing Tannoy. A bit surprising to me. Sorry but to me it sounded like someone threw a wet blanket over the speaker every time the Tannoys played. If people prefer muddy, boxy sound with no air in the highs, then yes Tannoy is your speaker. Not even in the same league as the Qualio's but just my opinion. And I am not a Tannoy hater, I generally like their sound, as I am a fan of concentric designs.
