that's funny...I was just watching the movie spawn... sitting there wondering if #marvelousvideos done the history of spawn villain's yet ..an look where we are....God I love marvelous videos 💯💪🏿
All of Spawn's foes are edgy, dark, scary, gruesome, grotesque, and all kinds of hardcore...AND I LOVE HIM ALL THE MORE FOR IT!!! Someone give the man a new animated series already so we can see them on full display!
More like give Spawn a Remake or readaptation , Michael Jai White was awesome, he could still come back and play al simmons. He's still in great shape and I'm sure he would reprise that role as...spawn.
The problem with modern day is yes CGI technology is light years better than the first and only live action Spawn movie but with the whole bullshit woke, PC, say no to masculinity and M she U agendas on top of studios wanting to make maximum amounts of profits by taming down the product so more people will watch as so will younger audiences in order to sell merchandise. Oh and don't forget pleasing the communist Chinese government. You add all those ridiculous agendas and the product becomes watered down and it ruins it for the real fans just look at marvel, star wars and the dceu
The Redeemer will always be my favorite Spawn villain. (I prefer the name "Anti-Spawn", though. So awesomely 90's) The concept of a heavenly equivalent to Spawn with an aesthetic based on that of a radically religious zealout crusader is an ingenious concept for a Spawn villain. Also, I'm always down for a villain that mirrors the hero; but usually, it's a character with a dark aesthetic to contrast a main character's brighter color pallette. Since Spawn is *already* dark, though, they thought outside the box and made a rival with golden, glorious design. Love it.
Yeah he is similar to godzilla in the fact that most of his allies stated with him fighting them or villains such as Angela or Redeemer, hell the whole Scared team does not even consider Spawn an allie dispite him forming the team.
I think he didn't mentioned, because copywrite, you see, Angela is now from Marvel, she is part of the Asgardian panteon and have being hanging around alongside the Guardians of the Galaxy, she was created by Neil Gaiman and they have some disagreaments wich lead Gaiman to aquire the rights over her and then sell the character to Marvel, a shame since Angela was definetely one of the best and most cool characters from Spawn, and Marvel didn't give her a proper treatment that she deserve.
That’s really weird…. I was just about to research and look up spawn villains and as I’m looking through this this shows up and you posted it one hour ago …. Excuse me but uh…. GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!!! Lmao thank you so very much for all that you do!
Actually, Eddie Frank is currently Reaper and no longer Redeemer. The current Redeemer is from the future and if I'm not mistaken his identity is still unknown. Kincaid has also left the ghost form behind and is now more of a demon with Spawn-like powers. And Chapel has been retconned out of the story. Al's killer is now officially Jessica Priest. However, I'm not sure if Al is aware of that. I also miss Cogliostro / Sinn. Despite everything a very nice video.
Wicked video! I enjoy every single villain, as a fan of dark fantasy before I was a fan of superhero lore. Is it possible to get stand-alone origin videos on Urizen and Decay?
Making this comment before I watch and will edit after. Having read every issue of Spawn and all the spinoffs and side stories it will be a tall order to get every villain in the Spawn Universe but lets see After watching the vid. You did a great job got all the ones I was expecting you to miss

My favorite comic book characters are John Constantine, Spawn, Deadpool, The Punisher, Blade, Savage Dragon, Hellboy, Robotman, Aquaman, Batman, Daredevil, Venom, Captain America, Invincible, Spider-Man, & Swamp Thing.
Funnn. Remember that cover of spider man 1 that MacFarlane did. It has just excessive amounts of webbing. I loved it. It might of been black and white.
Oh my god…seeing violator blue face paint stuff just unlocked something from my childhood, I don't know when I watched it but after seeing him I definitely know I did.
@@GeezyCE there's a huge difference between having the message.. and shoving it so far up our asses, we can feel it.. which is what tv does now hardcore...
@@vikingfromnorth45 yeah that's true spawn does deal with horror stuff especially because he's technically a antihero but does deal with a lot of horror monsters.
@@TevyaSmolka I mean marvel and dc has death is cheap stuff for most characters too and they did longer than spawn. Judge dredd had the dark judges who keep returning
I already knew Angela was originally from the Spawn comics but it is still a bit weird seeing her here considering she is now the daughter of Odin and half sister to Thor in the Marvel comics. It wasn't even that long ago we saw her attending the funeral of Odin as both his daughter and as the representative of the Tenth Realm(basically Heaven) who she convinced to repair the recently destroyed Mjolnir which now contains Odin's soul.
Holy shit , seen that movie a bunch of times as a kid and had no idea that was him , but now you say it its very obvious . Wow , man blown away by how amazing of a job he did holy shit
Will we ever get to see spawn on the big screen again 😔 it seems like I've been waiting since I was 10yrs old. Todd McFarland has the potential to be the top gun in any universe ever created
I loved the Spawn movie and cartoon as a kid. I remember when i was younger i also had a Spawn figure that i would always play with. It came with 2 machine guns. And the chains on the toy were able to move. It was a really cool figure.
As iconic as the clown is my favorite will always be the redeemer. Bonus points for Jason Wynn. I have always said he's one of the most underrated villains in all of fiction.
"The Disciple" is Judas iscariut from Christian lore, the betrayer. The Mother made him into the first incarnation of the Redeemer, that's why he's more powerful than the Redeemers of heaven, he was a Redeemer of the garden of Eden put there by the mother after he "betrayed" her when she was Christ. I'll explain a bit here, so when the Mother of the Universe *aka Man of Miracles aka the Hindu Goddess Kali aka The Keeper of the Green* had first shown up to observe God and Satan's works on Earth, "They" had observed the twins, *yes God and Satan are siblings in spawn* to be petty and pretty much immature immortal children and decided to cast them into the deep corners of the universe imprisoned. After that The Mother walked among the mortals of earth as Jesus Christ, see mankind was the only decent thing the Twins had BOTH created, it was totally unintentional, but it was unique, which is why "They" cast the Twins away. Judas was SUPPOSED to betray Christ *in spawn* to help the Mother get her message across about forgiveness of sins and all that, that's why when Judas died the Mother transformed him and the other Disciples of Christ into her personal Redeemers and the Gaurdians of the Garden of Eden which held the great trees of the Green, including tThe Tree of Knowledge and The Tree of Power. In the End Game storyline climax AL and his sort of, but not really daughter Cyan go to Eden with The Mother and Al's Power Gauge/Clock returns as The Mother tells him he has to eat from the Tree of Power and in order to do that, he has to defeat all Twelve Disciples before his gauge run out. Just as he gets to Judas, who is the most powerful of the Twelve *as he was the only one who obeyed the Mother by betraying her as she requested, the other 11 refused* Spawn is about to kill Judas when Cyan tells him not to block the incoming attack which results in Spawn getting incinerated into nothing but a smokey husk in the dirt. The Mother takes a funky fruit that looks like one of the fruit from "DragonBall Z the tree might" movie and Al's essence is reformed as "Redemption Spawn" aka "God Spawn", which makes him slightly stronger than God or Satan. I lost track of a chunk of the series after the whole "Jim" thing. I kinda lost interest after Al/Spawn blew his head own off in the Dead Zone in "Rat City Alley". I finally found the time to start reading the beginning of the arc where Wanda gets murdered and he gets the Sword of God, but I think I'm going to just get the big volume books to catch up, I have every issue from 1 to the issue Al blows his brain out and then the rest of my collection is all over the place lol. I've got some Curse of Spawn, most of the Angela collection, I've been trying to find the Image comics collaboration miniseries that introduced Omega Spawn and had all of the original Champions of Image Comics. Darkclaw, the Wildcats, Savage Dragon, Spawn and I think there was one more but I can't remember... ---This is a pretty decent video though, fairly accurate, though I noticed a few small things missed here and there, lo I king forward to checking out some of the other content on here. 👍👍👍 To my knowledge The Disciple hasn't reappeared in the Spawn series, perhaps in the new King Spawn or Spawn Universe series that's running currently, but I haven't read all of those yet, or the Gunslinger or Scorched series.----- Oh that reminds me... one other missed bit of key information, Jessica Priest was actually the one who assassinated Al Simmons, after Todd McFarlane got into the whole legal ownership of a character thing with Neil Geiman in court several characters had to retconned, including Chaple and Priest. So Jessica became Al's actual official killer instead of Chaple since he was technically a Youngbloods character . She was also a close friend of Nyx, the only in-canon She Spawn, after Nyx was killed Jessica apparently absorbed Nxy's leftover power and became the new and current She Spawn now headlining the new Scorched comic series.
@@rushpatriot2866 who cares about that story the story that that story gets its material from is the true life story of Judas Iscariot you know the Bible bruh get some truth of the word of God into you it's not hard to comprehend
Crazy 🤪 and scary 😨 as Hell ! I watched the HBO series when it was on and it was the weirdest 😳 show I had ever seen ! There were other Spawns that the new Spawn teamed up with in thwarting Satan's schemes to bring about Armageddon! Although I enjoyed the show, I missed some episodes ; I was able to catch up seeing 👀 them posted on RU-vid , however ! Thanks 😊
John Sansker aka Heartless John was a unique villain created by Alan Moore of the ‘Blood Feud’ series. He was an interesting exorcist who framed Spawn for his own vampirism.
The serial killer guy from the comics that went after kids. I remember candy and popsicles. He was the worst. Spawn got him good tho, I remember the death page where that guy was destroyed by Spawn and popsicle sticks....
Many comic characters are way stronger then batman. Batman is a man without power but he makes up for it with awesome gadgets. Peak physical conditioning and mastery of martial arts and tactical thinking make up for it
Hopefully we see all of the spawn in the demons hand character’s appear in canon. We have gotten brimstone so far (hopefully he looks closer to the game in the future) but characters like soleil, grace, angel teneres, gatekeeper and black brimstone would be dope! Also admonisher and Tiffany returning would be cool too.
"Malebogia ia a flea when it comes to Mammon" then a few second later..."but Mammons powers are largely overshadowed by Satan and even Malebogia" im like wtf
The Al Simmons Spawn actually exists in a strange comic Nexus point as he's faced off with DC's Batman (as written by Frank Miller) and also encounters Image Comics Chapel (from Youngblood).
@@johnmitchell923 Very true. Plus I just recently learned of Al Simmons Spawn meeting Archie Comics Sonic the Hedgehog, and his friends. Like I said he seems to exist on a strange Nexus point of the comic world.
1.you just wait til he faces Thor and Juniper Lee 2.another one for Juniper Lee to face in the near future 3.he certainly sounds somewhat similar to that brain-eating meteor from the Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy 4.James Gilliam would have the strength to break this guy's arm 5.then you should see Clint Howard's take on this creep 6.talk about an interesting take on Spawn 7.I dunno, something about that doesn't seem to add up 8.as if the Terminator wasn't devastating enough 9.great, more enemies for Thor and Juniper Lee to face 10.this one would most likely deserve to die by the hands of the Punisher 11.this one deserves a fate worse than death 12.as if a cyborg grizzly bear wasn't enough 13.talk about being duped 14.yet these are the events that led to the main plotline for the animated series known as God, the Devil, and Bob 15.Raven may be the daughter of an intergalactic demon, but I doubt she'd actually go through with her father's sadistic actions 16.talk about greater ambitions than most villains in comic book history 17.such power to have if it makes the Devil fear her 18.looks like Mr Negative's got some competition 19.and to think, she wound up as the main villain of the movie known as *Constantine* 20.the Kingpin might as well better have her on his payroll 21.clearly something about this doesn't add up, I could probably see her as Lilith, but I doubt she'd make a good Satan 22.as if we're looking at another *Rosemary's Baby* situation here 23.truly a most unfortunate outcome 24.knowing Blade's position as a vampire hunter, this guy would be a key player in his rogues gallery 25.clearly a senator Harry Osborne would be against once he's mayor of New York 26.clearly someone that even the Kingpin would find too dangerous to have on his payroll 27.this one kinda reminds me of those demon dogs from *Ghostbusters* 28.this one would certainly seem to be even a match for Ghost Rider 29.this is why religion and drugs don't mix 30.possibly the most ruthless of Maggia crime bosses 31.unlike the one I put at #26, at least she has her head on straight enough to be put on the Kingpin's payroll 32.another one for Blade's rogues gallery 33.you just wait til you see the patchwork done on Melissa Chase 34.yet another dark angel for the list 35.I remember this guy being one of the main villains for *Ghost Rider:Spirit of Vengeance* 36.a potential daughter of Mephisto 37.a great addition to any cult that looks to summon evil deities 38.one that's a perfect example of why everyone hates a mime 39.a perfect Naga specimen 40.that also happens to be the name of a parasitic twin this one dude from the *Basket Case* movies had 41.this one I'm having a hard time trying to wrap my head around 42.a homeless dude who sold his soul to the devil 43.this one kinda reminds me of Dr Death
i desperately wish we could get another animated series or some kind of movie that simply sticks to the content of the comics without changing a bunch of stuff to push some crap agenda or shitty politics that don't belong in this content. Stuff like this is meant to entertain and help people escape from reality for a little bit, Not preach some neverending message we can't get away from. 😄👍
What? You don't appreciate the pedophiles of Hollywood getting on their high horses and preaching their moral superiority to us, the stupid, poor, unwashed masses?
I can agree with ya for the most part, but I would like to play a little of devil's advocate also. I'd agree that poorly implemented political underpinnings obviously is very detrimental to quality of comics or any other work of fiction. (e.g. In regard to the Jane Foster/Lady Thor run from 2013, yeah, we get the point that misogynist douchebaggery is bad, m'kay (South Park reference in case anyone didn't get it). The writers should either have done something productive with like how Chris Claremont and other writers on the X-Men frequently use those storylines to condemn prejudicial hatred/discriminate or dropped the poorly done SJW stuff and moved on). However, I'd disagree with you saying that philosophical/socio-political themes don't belong in comics. Again, using the X-men as an example. Even though the X-men weren't created with the intention of being a vehicle to promote the contemporary Civil Rights movement of the 1950s-60s, but the message the X-men series has always had coincided with it: Even people who "committed the crime" of being born with different immutable traits are entitled to the same dignity and equality before the law as any other Human being. Providing something that could get much of the X-men series target audience, especially the most privileged of society to understand the plight of underprivileged folks via an extended analogy, the plight of mutant minorities in a majority Human (non-mutant) world and apply it to real world matters has been beneficial to getting younger generations to reject racism and other forms of prejudice. Thus, while I can understand that half-assed inclusion of underlying socio-political commentary is a detriment to the quality of a work, but drawing attention to some of society's problems in meaningful ways (e.g. X-men and themes of promoting anti-discrimination) is worthy of being in comics or any medium for that matter.
@@JesseMB27 well ya, i mean if there's a place for it in the story it's something that can actually be really compelling. i mostly just mean in terms of changing a bunch of stuff to fit a narrative that doesn't really make sense for the characters involved but it's being done because nobody had any faith it would be watched unless it involved pre-existing characters that people already love. When that is the case it usually sucks, there's been a bunch of times when i thought "Instead of changing so many things that it's now become the part of a franchise nobody likes because it doesn't make sense for the characters involved, Why didn't they just make this a new original property that people can enjoy?" Having a hard time thinking of a specific movie or show but it would be like saying that Sci-Fi movie LIFE with Ryan Reynolds and Jake Gyllenhaal is an origin story for Venom, people would have to jump through hoops and ignore so many things for that to make sense that it's better off just being it's own Original Property. If it had released as Venom: Origins people would've hated it because of how different certain things were about it, but letting be it's own thing gave everyone the chance to enjoy it without long established ideas of what it's "supposed" to be. If that makes sense 😅👍
Don't see the date on this but it has to be aged (lately a lot of videos have no dates on them) as the Spawn Verse is supposed to have many more Spawns and i don't see the few i know are new.
I like the idea that a devil is cursed by god because they are bad and want souls, so god let's him have souls, but every time he satiates himself he grows bigger and needs more souls so he would be more hungry for them and need more each time. That would be horrible if you ever run out.
