A cat likes to take a nap on my roof, making it dirty or worse. When I look out of my window and the cat is there, I can now simply throw her of the roof by opening it remotely from the first floor. Very funny. I call it the "catapult" :-D

I Love your channel Joel, But I got a Carly for my 03' 3.0i and it tells me i have about 18 codes or problems and I had a shop check it with more sophisticated professional OBD2 scanners and there's no problem. The only thing It really worked on was the European emergency flashers and turning off the running lights. Pretty much unusable for diagnosing real issues. It also says my engine is unsupported? Not your fault, but just wanted to let viewers be ware. Its not a slam dunk for everyone.

I'd been debating getting one of these for a while, the 20% off swung the decision for me.. After a bit of investigation, in addition to the Z4 I can do some configuration of my JCW (turning off the default start stop) - not particularly useful for the other cars but the man maths still work out. 👍

With 3 BMW's to care for, one being an e85, this was a smart decision. For example a low battery can trigger an air bag fault which is what my Z4 did, charge battery and reset thrown code. Now I can reset the code without a dealer($) visit. Thanks Joel for convincing me.

Hi Joel, I just bought a 2007 Z4 3.0I and love it so far. Wish the wind turbulence wasn't so bad though at highway speeds. I noticed the windblocker you have installed? How does it work and is it the factory version or from someplace else? I've been considering building my own instead of shelling hundreds of bucks for either a mesh or acrylic screen. Bimmercode does exactly the same but it's a one time purchase and not monthly. So in the end, cheaper.

Hi Joel, Great video! Thank you. I have a quick query. I have a 2004 Z4 and I was wondering I could have mph displayed using Carly app? I have seen your other video with test mode on but that is for kmph and hence not very useful in UK.

Do I need the 20-pin scanner extension cable. Mine is older then 2001, I have a 2009 convertible hard top similar to your car in the video.

Joel! I was inspired to purchase the Carly-kit after seeing your videos here. One of the features was the coding option to enable soft top opening and closing using the remote key. I'm running a MY2003/7, 3.0i and Carly presented me with the options to code both Comfort Open and Close of the soft top. Both were successfully coded, however, I only get the closing to work by pressing the close-button on the remote key three times and holding. What are the correct sequences? Do you know or where can I retrieve that information? Thanks!

Nice one Joel! I once read somewhere (I forget where) that the power steering assist input for both sport/non sport modes can be recoded to make the steering lighter or heavier. Is this something the Carly app can access?

Hello, can you tell me if you can activate the rear fog light? I have a us version and changed the front face plate of the lcm with one who has the fog light switch, fog light indicator in the dash works but i will need some coding on the lcm. Is Carly the one who can do?

Hey Friend. Good channel! Here from Portugal... May look like easy in the North.. But nothing comparable what the reality is in here! A very hard and painfull place to live the dream, but yet, possible too do it and achive it! And gracefully I have it in a regular basis.Here with the grateful ligth of Portugal! I have a 2007 Z4. I tried this to get the top go up and down with the fob and the key in the lock. Did not work. The top will go up with the key in the lock only and down from the fob only. I was disappointed.

Joel, sounds right interesting, checked their site but no mention of 'coding' for adding factory fogs. I picked up a pr. plus the req'd new dash light switch, but have been putting off the install because forums I've searched say dealer coding is necessary. Any clue?

Hade you been able to activate “comfort indicators” on yours? That the indicator flashes 3 times ... I won’t get the option in Carly on my 2004 z4

Can you activate the AUX IN Mode with it?

Did that fault clear actually turn your airbag light off? I also find when I hold the lock button to put the roof up, that works, but doesn’t put the windows up, which isn’t particularly helpful! 😂

Also what functions can you use without the subscription? If like to get one pay the sub set my car up and not renew the second year unless I have issues. Can I then not use the app or module is it effectively dead?

Anybody using Carly and having problems with the roof-function using the key? After coding it properly, it stops halfway closing and i have to finish closing with the knob in the car... 😩
