My cat, Penelope, passed away recently after about 10 years together. Every night she'd sleep by my side, but now she's gone alone to her final resting place.

That you made this touching little video for Penelope is proof of the overwhelming amount of love she received during your 10 years together. It’s beautiful anyone could care so much. Very sorry for your loss. 😢

Sweet Shalquor is my favourite Souls NPC. Such a spicy cat, fluffy, helpful but a bit of a troll. I also love how the Silvercat ring in Elden Ring is found on a corpse at the bottom of a ravine. Evidently he didn't read the 'reduces falling damage but not death' part clearly enough.

They should totally bring back the goofy cat ring/equivalent icons from Demon's Souls and Dark Souls 2, that kind of scuffed charm that displayed heart and the personality of the devs showing in minor easter-egg like details is what made the Soulsborne franchise one of my favorites.

I used to play TP on the GameCube back in my teenage years, and my cat Ringo would crawl up and just lay on my back or next to me while I did. Miss him like a little brother every day, and know it's like losing a family member. My heart goes out to you and hope you know they are in a better place, or their next life! ❤

I feel this one. Lost mine of the same age as well, it took a while to not get emotional when I didn’t hear her happy greeting meows whenever I got home. Now that I’ve healed enough, I’ve begun looking into getting another, and this video definitely helped give me some inspiration for Souls themed names. And a message to everyone: Don’t ever feel silly or guilty for feeling extreme grief over pet loss. There is scientific evidence that it can be just as heavy and impactful as the death of a human. Take care of yourself and don’t feel ashamed or guilty.

I lost my cat just before Christmas. Her name was Tyga. She was 17 and the greatest friend I will ever have. Penelope looks like she carried a similar energy so I sympathise heavily with your loss and understand the hole that’s left. But things will get better. Time does heal all.
