Honestly, I'm kinda surprised after 40 years, there isn't actually an official character named "Ninten" somewhere out there. It'd seem so on-brand for Nintendo just to especially lock down their trademark in such a way.

I do love it. Although they used Mario And Luigi RPG style teamwork, but Paper Mario designs. I wonder if that's 'cause they work better with Ice Climber sized models. Or maybe they fight like that in Paper Jam, I haven't gotten to playing that one yet.

So there are 4 types of mods: 1- the ones that add cool original skins or other skins that character has in a different game. 2- the ones that add completely new characters that sort of make sense. 3- the ones that are just meme characters. 4- the ones that think having less clothes is optimal for combat movement.

It makes more sense now since sumire is japanese for violet.

Some of these I legitimately don’t know why they weren’t included, like Dry Bowser, Classic Link, Ninten or Mr L(my dream is to have Princess Luigi from the mangas, but that would NEVER be official. also wish we got Honey Bee Cloud, but I guess they really wanted to avoid the whole drag thing). I kind of get some alts not being in there, like Sakurai is such a perfectionist he’d want to do whole new voice lines for Roxas and that’d cost money & resources. Kingdom Hearts Cloud probably have to do another deal with Disney.

I have an idea (once I’m able to buy a moddable switch) of making a “realistic” modpack. So no crazy meme skins or out there outfit swaps, (nothing against them) but instead adding exclusively ones Nintendo would reasonably include. So like OOT Link, Dread Samus, KH Cloud, etc. I love this game and its celebration aspect and I think adding to that celebration with more references in custom skins would go CRAZY, while maintaining the game’s tone, if that makes sense
