Ahhh this reminds me of when I had chinese history classes back in my chinese primary school bcos i took higher chinese (im from singapore lolol) :( the teacher was so engaging and really captured my heart and interest for my chinese heritage and after going to a more english school i never really got to the chance to immerse myself in chinese history classes like before i know that views may be low but i really do appreciate the quality of editing, effort and love put into each and every one of your videos!

i respect singapore for emphasising their citizen's ethnic roots instead of dissolving them into a new artificial identity based on nationalism or ideology, as is the case in many multi-ethnic countries. Culture, tradition, and the wisdom of history are far more strong and stable roots for one's identity rather than dogmatic ideologies, which has resulted in moral panics, polarisation, and mass upheavals, for example the woke culture in the US, or the Cultural Revolution in china.

Even though the Sui dynasty only lasted a few decades, it is still a pretty important dynasty in Chinese history. In my opinion, the Sui dynasty deserves to be listed in the summary chart. China officially recognise 20 dynasties, the Sui dynasty is one of them. There is a 朝代歌 (the folk lyrics of the dynasties in Chinese history): 夏商周，春秋战。秦朝以后是两汉，三国两晋南北朝。隋唐五代宋辽夏，金元明清二十朝。 Translation: Xia, Shang, and Zhou; Spring and Autumn, Warring States. After the Qin Dynasty, there were two Han Dynasties; Three Kingdoms, Two Jins, Northern and Southern Dynasties. Sui, Tang, Five Dynasties, Song, Liao, and Xia; Jin, Yuan, Ming, and Qing, 20 Dynasties of China.

@@ElBanditothe tangut dynasty is called “xi xia”. However the “xia” he mentioned was the often claimed to be mythical “xia” dynasty of China. A dynasty which was mentioned in the video

@@hiimryan2388 I don't think he meant the mythical Xia, because his poem was done chronologically. The Xia he mentioned was next to SOng and Liao, and there is only one Xia that fits the bill--the Tangut Kingdom of Xi Xia.

Maybe because this is aimed for non-Chinese educated viewers? A great high level summary of a long and complicated history. For the really Chinese educated, this would be nothing new and an over-simplification of what they learned. P/S I really believe there was a previous dynasty or nation state or culture before the Shang. The Shang culture from archaeological records already showed itself to be very matured in all aspects - metal technology, writing, government, military strategies, culture, maths, astronomy. This could only be the result of a much longer development and could not have sprung up within the 600 years of Shang Dynasty itself.

China is basically a combined Europe. The Three Kingdoms era is the best though, so many heros, generals, and legendary warriors.

Interesting. Based on these historical maps, China actually had more control over northern Vietnam and northern Korea than the likes of Tibet, Xinjiang, Mongolia, Manchuria, and Taiwan. No wonder both Vietnam and Korea share a similar culture with China, their northern regions were part of the so-called "China proper" sporadically. These regions were under direct Chinese influence for a long time.

Great video. But you forgot the latest dynasty - the Communist Dynasty ( 共产主义王朝) founded by Mao!!! And like all Chinese dynasties this one also after a spectacular rise will fall . That seems to be in the DNA of the Han nation!!!
