Danielle is one of my favorite characters. He’s not a good guy, in fact, he’s a piece of shit, but out of everyone in that stupid fucking town he’s one of the few that isn’t afraid to be who he really is regardless of what is right and wrong. Despite the damage he did to the Puppington family, he was the only person who pulled through for Orel. Clay was abusive and Bloberta was beyond dismissive of everyone’s needs but her own… Danielle was literally the ONLY person who spent Christmas with Orel for Orel’s sake because he knew there was nothing redeemable about Clay… So he just gave Orel a good Christmas instead. It made an irredeemable man a diamond in the rough.
He's also the only adult to step back and realize he has a problem. I haven't studied the reverend's clips, but I know he starts being there for Stephanie, but, Yeah! Danielle says he's got a problem and actually stops making it worse!
It’s so weird how in the end, he was a better dad to Orel than Clay ever was. This seemingly irredeemable man, who caused so much damage, managed to find a heart. Fitting it was for Christmas. I mean, he knocked up the wife of the man he loves. He sacrificed a goat to Satan. Planned on sacrificing Orel to Satan. He did everything he could to get with him. He realized how horrible Clay really was. A true monster. And once he did, he realized what he really wanted. What made him happy. And what made Orel happy, even if only for a day. At the end of the story, Clay was the only irredeemable person in Moralton. And when Orel realized that, he knew what he didn’t want to be. Orel became what his father never could be, a loving husband, brother and father. He even managed to keep his faith in spite of the lies his dad told him.
Jay Johnson, for some reason, wasn't able to voice Danielle in the third season, so Scott Adsit (Clay's VA) did it instead. Jay also wasn't available to voice Censordoll (hence her also sounding different), but was able to voice Joe and Carl (Doughy's dad).
@@jamjam879both of you are right and wrong. danielle stops going after clay after he sees him go after another woman so easily, he's simply overtaken by hurt because he genuinely liked him. he doesn't feel offended and like he shouldn't have done that, they were never technically together, he was just actually hurt. but where he ultimately ends up drawing the line (even when finally given the chance that even when he was hurt, he would've taken in a heartbeat) is when he realizes what a shit dad clay is to orel.
The story of two guyss who were good for eachother, but didn't deserve the happiness because of their actions. One is just an awful cheating person, and the other injected himself into a marriage to tear it up and get to the husband. Sad on the surface to see them not end up together, but they really didn't deserve it.
Ikr?! And think about it from Clay's pov: Peeing, hears a stranger tell him to go with one more shake, goes to meet the stranger, but said stranger disappears before he gets the chance Then he gets romantic letters from his son's mysterious track coach, who he's never met... And it goes from there It feels incredibly fanfic-ey
@@emofangz definitely, since danielle has been stalking clay for at least 8 years, clay may have met danielle recently but danielle has known him for a long time
I've recently been introduced to this show but haven't seen any actual clips (besides the most traumatizing ones) so it's nice to get a laugh from this show. At least while it's out of context for me
Hardly. Imagine this, would you consider your half-brother's cousin (on the side he's not related to *Danielle, not Bloberta*) your cousin too? If it was Bloberta's nephew and not Danielle's, then you would be a bit closer
I loved watching this whole comp, but seeing the little short of Bloberta being happy and GIGGLING made me sad. I feel so bad for what she went through, no excusing her actions though :7
i know, it was like a little window into how different of a person she’d be if she was given the love/attention she lacked so badly her whole life or like she acted so young and happy because she saw her romantic interests in a similar light to her father, like how she wanted clay to drink to be like him
He was the only to kind of realize it and was willing to change a bit and realize he has problems, for someone so awful , he still managed to be a better figure to orel than clay ever ws
@@lifewithkids5231 dude rewatch the show and tell me he isn't just a little bit of a predator, his creepy arua and statements to the kids and other parents, how he is around gym class He gets better at the end tho, I think the writers just didn't know what to do with him since he mainly just dates clay for parts and orals mother plus a few others
@@-Katastrophe- I respect your opinion but after recently finishing the show I personally disagree with him being "predatory with kids". I think it's just his voice, because he's got a naturally flirty one until the voice actor changes for season three. But I agree that him dating the dad and having a kid with the mom is weird.
Clay doesn’t love stopframe. He loves that stopframe represents an escape from his life. He loves the attention. He loves the ego boost of being desired.
@@Melmeltheclownyea but I mean the whole thing that made Clay the biggest piece of crap (especially during the “Nature” episodes) was his alcoholism that was imprinted on him by Bloberta. The speech he gives in “Nature” can also have a double meaning, talking about both alcohol and his marriage. Religion might’ve been a big strain in the possibility of them being together, but I think that they would get over it.
@@Melmeltheclown in the episode where he meet bloberta he seemed to actually be a good person, just with some unresolved issues. It was only after bloberta knocks him out does he start to act like the clay we know.
@Just_a_DHMIS_fan a liar, a manipulator, a pedophile, animal abuser (extremely terrible) impregnated a man's wife for selfish reason, satanic rituals the list goes on. He's disgusting
Watching Danielle spin the cross and getting lucky/whatever he wants when it remains on its side makes me think Maybe putting too much effort on being good or bad to guide his life and 'forging a path through religion' was useless. It remaining on it's side is probably symbolic: Make a choice rather on your own, not leave it to whims of fate. In the end he put himself and his own needs above lust and infatuation, by giving Orel a Good Christmas because he wanted to, and because he thought of it on his own, instead of disregarding things.
You can tell during certain portions of season 3 he’s voiced by Jay Johnston, but in others it’s clearly Scott Adsit. Odd that they couldn’t get Jay Johnston to voice him for the whole season and only a couple episodes.
Clay was looking between Shapey and Coach Stopframe in the scene where Bloberta kisses him. Right afterwards the whole question of Shapey being Clays gets brought up.
I like how Danielle was extremely uncomfortable with Orel being at the Satanic Ritual once he fully new what it was like (though it was a little weird with how he chose Orel for the 'Virgin') & uncomfortable in general with how the whole situation was.
